AT THE HOSPITAL****
It’s close to three hours now since they came to the hospital.
Jack has already gone back home as instructed by Nolan.
It’s somehow dusk already and Peyton was somehow hungry, even Nolan, Nora inclusive.
Nora laid close to Gray,while she continued to rub and caress his hand.
Her cries have somehow subsided,she was only sniffling now. She already cried her eyes out,there was no single tear in her eyes again.
“Nora,let’s go get something to eat” Peyton said.
“I’m not hungry, Pey” she replied bluntly.
“What are you saying, Nora? We’ve not eaten anything good since this Sh|t started in the morning, and you’re telling me you’re not hungry?
“I don’t want to eat,until I see that Gray is awake” she said.
“Nora,please. Do you think Gray will be happy when he wakes up and finds out you’ve been starving yourself? Nolan joined in.
Nora frowned and pouted.
“Don’t worry about getting the food,I’ll do that and I’m gonna feed you when I get back” he said to Nora.
“No,Nolan. You’ve stressed yourself too much already. Nora and I will get the food” Peyton said.
She turned to Nora and pulled her up,she was reluctant but gave up. Cause Peyton doesn’t take no for answer.
“You both be careful,there’s a restaurant beside the hospital, just get it from there” he said.
Peyton nodded and dragged Nora along with her.

Nolan sat worriedly on the chair as he kept staring at his friend.
He was seriously praying for a miracle to happen, let something just happen,so that Gray can wake up.
He was so engrossed in his thoughts and prayers.
Gray started making reflexes. His middle finger made a slide slow move.
“Nora….he called slowly, but more like a whisper.
His eyes slowly opened, his fingers making more reflexes now.
“Nora….he slowly called again, and this time,Nolan heard it.
He sprang up immediately he heard his voice.
At first,he didn’t believe it was his voice he heard,but after seeing his hand move.
He sprang up and went closer to him.
“Gray…dude….my buddy… Dude you’re alive” Nolan confusedly called him different names.
He was over happy!
Like,he wasn’t expecting Gray to wake up even in the next three or four days.
This is a miracle, his prayer and wish really worked!
“Doc…doctor,he’s awake” he stuttered and dashed out to get the doctor.
The doctor came in with him.
Nolan was happy and smiling like one who lost his senses.
Happy is an understatement to use in describing how excited he felt, when he saw Gray slowly waking up.
“I told you he’s a strong man,and was responding to the treatments,faster than I expected” the doctor smiled and said.
Nolan didn’t utter a word,there was no word in his mouth,he was speechless.
The only thing he did was smiling all through.
The doctor did his thing,touched what needed to be touched and smiled again.
“Where’s Nora? He asked,calmly.
“She and Peyton……
“Gray…..!Nora cuts in as she came in and saw Gray.
Instead of rejoicing, she started crying again.
“Baby,stop doing that. It hurts me a lot when I see you cry” Gray said,softly.
His head was banging and hurting so much.
He even forced the words out of his mouth,cause the pain was excruciating.
Nora went to him,and hugged him awkwardly, since he was lying down.
“Ouch! He winced in pain. His entire body was in pain from the beating he got.
He was preparing to go to work that morning when they got in and started beating him mercilessly.
“Oh,I’m so sorry…. I’m sorry” Nora said it twice.
Gray smiled,weakly.
“Come here” he signaled Nora. She bent low and he kissed her softly.
“I thought I was gonna lose you” she sniffed and said.
“No one is losing anybody” Gray replied.
“Thanks man,thanks for saving my life. I would have been dead and gone by not,if it weren’t for you” he thanked Nolan after Nora told told him Nolan is the one who saved him.
“Common, dude. You’ve done things greater and bigger than this,it’s nothing” Nolan said and moved closer.
“Where’s your candy heart? He asked.
“Hey,Gray…” Peyton said slowly, waving at him.
She also moved closer. They all sat beside him.
“You scared us,Gray, so much” she added.
Gray smiled weakly again.
“I am fine now,see? He said and they all chuckled.
“How’s our little princess doing in there? He asked.
“Awesome. It’s a boy by the way, you and Nolan should stop referring to my prince as “princess” she pouted,making them,including Gray who is in pain to laugh out loud.
“We’ll see who wins when the baby finally arrives” Gray said.
“I already told her it’s gonna be a girl,but you know she’s a stubborn woman. She keeps arguing with a prophet” Nolan joked.
Another laughter ensued.
Nora chuckled and shook her head.
“I’ve got the sweetest and craziest family” she said.
“Look at this one that wanted to die,so you can talk”
“Dude,you needed to see her when you were still unconscious”
“If not that I got a mop from the nurses to mop all the tears, this place would still be filled up with her tears” Nolan exaggerated and mocked Nora.
“What! Gray exclaimed, he knew it was a lie but he just did that to play along.
Nora slapped Nolan on the head.
“Stop talking nonsense” she slapped him again.
Nolan chuckled, everyone did.
“Were you really crying? Gray asked.
“Mmm hmm” Nora pouted.
“Come here”he said.
Nora bent low again to his level. Their lips met and they started kissing, but not a short and brief one this time.
It was a sweet and romantic one,they totally forgot they aren’t at home.
“Hey…hey…hey…enough. Go home and do this. Don’t corrupt my little princess’s eyes and mind” Nolan joked, jolting them back from their lovey dovey world.
“Stop being a mood spoiler” Gray said and Nolan rolled eyes at him and chuckled.
Nora never took her eyes off him,it was as though he was planning to runaway from her.
She has really missed him,just within a day.
What would have happened if he eventually died.
I guess she would have followed him to the other world too.
Everywhere went silent for a while.
“Vina! Where’s is Vina. She needs to go to prison, she has to go” Gray said,trying to get up.
