“Court….the judge said and pounded the gavel on his desk.
He got up and left his seat.
“All rise” the bailiff said and everyone stood up until the judge left the courtroom.
“Noo! This can’t be happening. This is unfair,ahhhh!” Vina growled and broke into tears the moment the judge walked out.
“This is unfair! She continued to talk until the police came and handcuffed her,putting her hands behind her.
“Let me go,this is unfair! She cried.
Nolan walked handsomely with pride and stood right in front of her,smiling.
He tucked his hands in his pocket.
“Hmph” he chuckled and looked her in the eyes.
“You know,at some point I thought it’ll never get to this point.
“I though you were undefeated. It got to a point I lost hope,I almost gave up on this.
“Why? Because I f*cking thought you were gonna win.
“There’s a saying that goes……hmm,he rubbed his chin as if he’s trying to remember something or thinking.
He knows what he wants to say but was just trying to mock Vina,which he actually did.
“Oh yea….every d@mn begining has an end.
“Today,your end has come,your doom is here.
“Tch…tch…tch! He pouted and shook his head mockingly.
“How old are you now,Vina? Umm,1…2…3….oh yes! Forty five.
“Forty five plus twenty,totals,sixty five.
“I hope you get old,die and rot in that prison before twenty years.
“You’re so disgusting that your voice alone makes me wanna puke!
“Have great fun in your new home,I pray the tugs in there treat you like the devil you are.
“Enjoy your stay over there,heartless witch! You’re disgusting” he added as he spat and walked away proudly.
Vina was completely stupefied with every f*cking thing Nolan said to her.
Nolan had so much respect for her,and has never in his life spoken to her like that.
It’s the worse day of her life. She broke into another round of cry.
“AHHHH! She yelped. The police pushed her forward,aggressively as she was hesitant on moving.
They pushed her until she fell on her face. Her shot legs were still hurting so much.
They walked passed Nolan and rest as they kept looking at her till she went out of sight.
Nolan hissed.
“Thanks,man. You were stupendously amazing back there” Nolan said to Gray.
“Winning cases is my job. Never lost a case and i never will” he smiled and said.
Nolan smiled and felt proud of his friend.
He then walked up to the DPO to thank him for what he did.
It was a last minute medicine. What would have happened if he didn’t bring that.
Vina would have probably won the case and be released.
Her lawyer is somehow good too,but Gray tops him.
“You’re welcome,Mr Nolan. I am happy the case is over and everyone is safe and will be at peace,henceforth”The DPO said.
“Thank you so much” Nolan said again,giving him a handshake.
He left to join his family.
Peyton ran and hugged him tight like a baby,for no reason.
He stared at her hair for a while,cos she literally buried her face on his chest.
He hugged her back lovingly.
“I love you” she muttered.
“I love you more,candy heart” Nolan replied.
He broke from the hug and kissed her forehead before holding her hand.
“Next agenda is our wedding” he said as he kissed her engagement ring and rubbed her stomach before kissing it too.
Peyton looked at him and smiled.
The man before her is the most loving,romantic and amazing person she has ever met.
though at first,it didn’t seem so.
That’s why they say, “don’t judge anyone before you even get to know them”
“We should visit the Restaurant,baby. Then stop by aunt Agnes’s to check your dress” Nolan jolted her from her thought.
“Yea,sure” she replied and followed Nolan who held her hand like a little baby.
“Sweetest family” Nolan smiled and said.
They all smiled at them too.
“So where should we celebrate this victory of ours? He asked.
“The beach! Nora quickly said making everybody laugh.
“You didn’t even let him land,gosh” Peyton joked.
“Wh@tëver” Nora rolled eyes at her and chuckled.
“The beach it is. Tomorrow, huh? Nolan asked and everyone concurred.
