Violet wandered around at Ivy’s school trying to find the weird girl that sat with Ivy earlier. She was with Ivy while having lunch, and she tried to stop her from taking the lemon drink because she thought she waa allergic to it, but to her surprise, when the strange girl stopped her instead only to find out that Ivy was allergic to garlic and not lemon.
“Can she see me?” she thought.
After searching tirelessly, she returned to Charles house but didn’t find him home.
“He must’ve gone out to have fun, such an unserious fellow,” she grumbled, and started looking around his room.
The picture frame on his cabinet caught her sight— a photo he took with his mother.
She didn’t know much about the Harrison family, but his mother, Crystal Harrison has always been her role model since she reed about her success story.
She was the youngest CEO at age 10, with a lot of accomplishments and she became an executive director at age 18, followed by the chairman’s retirement years after and she became the chairman. The thought of such a successful career woman quitting after she got married always baffled her.
“I believe you had your reasons,” she said, trying to touch the picture but couldn’t.
“You now enjoy intruding. don’t you?” she heard Charles said from behind, and she turned to look at him all smiles.
“And smiling too,” he grumbled, and instantly looked away.
“I thought you won’t be back till sun down,”
“I wish fun driving was that fun,”
“Charles, I think I found someone else who can see me,”
“Then keep that in your thoughts. Do you think there are a lot of abnormal people on earth?”
“But I really think she can…”
“Then go confirm it. Go scare her to find out. You were very persistent with me, so why are you just here thinking,” he rolled his eyes.
“I met her at Ivy’s school. I’ve always thought Ivy was allergic to lemon drink after her body reacted to the garlic lemon drink I gave her, I never knew her allergy was garlic,”
“Seems like you aren’t even close to your sister at all,”
“I never realized that until now. There was a huge age gap between us, and by the time she grew up I was preoccupied with other stuffs,”
“You didn’t want to be close to her, age gap isn’t an excuse,”
“You’re right,” she muttered, and chuckled sadly.
“Don’t be like that. You might not be close to her, but you obviously love her. We’re worked up here because of her. So cheer up. I’ll help you restore all your assets for your sister,”
“You’ve so much confidence,”
“I learnt from the best. You’ve more confidence. You said you would help me get all my shares back, but you can’t do anything without my help,” he said, and she glared at him.
“What? Yeah. That’s better than being sad,”
“You’re right. I can’t do anything without you, that’s why you why you have a lot of part to play here as well,”
“What do I have to do?”
“A lot of things,” she said, and he exhaled heavily.

He called Mr. Feng to gather all the information he could get on haven group which includes their share holders, and the members of the legal team.
“We will start with this. What shares does your stepbrother have in the company?”
“NJ chemicals. His maternal grandfather is the chairman of NJ chemicals, and it was merged to haven chemicals. Haven chemicals was originally owned by the Harrison’s, but since its all under haven group now, dad can control it as he pleases,”
“That must’ve offended you,”
“He married her because of the company, I don’t even know what he wanted from them,”
“There must be something behind it. If NJ chemicals is all they can offer, your father must’ve a reason to need thier alliance,”
“Dylan was the director of NJ chemicals before now. He probably moved to the headquarters since he is an executive director now,”
“Don’t worry, Charles. We will get our hands on all their dirty secrets, and claim back what’s rightfully yours,”
“I hope it’s as easy as you say it,”
“Nothing in this world comes easily, but we shouldn’t stop doing our best,” she said, and he nodded all smiles.

Ivy went for her last class and saw the strange girl from earlier so she went to seat next to her.
“Hi,” she waved.
“Hi,” the girl muttered and looked away.
“We sat together at the cafeteria earlier,”
“I know,”
“I’m Ivy,”
“I know,”
“I assume I’m quite famous since everyone seems to know me. Can I know you?”
“I’m Carolyn,”
“It’s nice to meet you,”
“Ok,”
“Are you in business management?”
“No,”
“What department?”
“I haven’t decided,”
“Oh,” Ivy exclaimed, and paid attention to the lecturer that walked in.
“What a weird fellow. What makes her think I was allergic to lemon? She is weird indeed,” she thought.

They dismissed from class later when Ivy went she saw Carolyn being bullied by a man.
“Hey! What do you think you are doing? Aren’t you aware that this is a public place and you could get arrested?!” she lashed, approaching them.
“No, Ivy. No, stay out of this,” Carolyn grumbled in a whisper.
“Who is this? Have you finally have a friend?” the man snapped.
“Should you be cornered over that? If I were you, I would worry more about what I’d explain to the police if I call them now,” Ivy said showing him her phone.
“Do you think I’m sacred of the police?” the man blurted, approaching her and Ivy instantly became scared, blaming herself for interfering.
“Uncle, don’t…” Carolyn grumbled.
Ivy shivered in fear and counted few steps away looking around at the students who have already set thier phone, ready to video the scene.
“Are you scared now? Weren’t you about to call the police earlier?” he teased, and intend to hit her but someone held his hand.
Ivy turned to see the guy who gave her the lemon drink earlier.
“Since you aren’t scared of the police, when they arrive you can have a fun ride with them,” he teased, and the man forcefully released from his grip before leaving.
“Thank you,” Ivy muttered.
“Are you ok? Did he hurt you?”
“Thanks for coming for your help.. Jor…”
“Jon. It’s sad that you forget my name,”
“Oh, I’m sorry about that. Where is Carolyn?”
“That’s has name?”
“She was just here,”
“I saw her leave earlier,”
“Oh, we couldn’t even talk,”
“Is she your friend?”
“Do you know her?”
“She is the only student that has been in freshman class for three years,”
“You’re in year three?”
“Two. But everyone knows about it, even the freshman,”
“That’s really unbelievable,”
“You should avoid her. I heard she possesses bad aura. Rumor has it that she is a witch,” he whispered in her ears, and she chuckled.
“You believe that?”
“Don’t you?”
“Then you must’ve believed everything they said about me,”
“I didn’t pay attention to that,”
“Then you shouldn’t pay attention to the gossip about her either. She was weird earlier when you had lunch together, so I got curious,”
“Let me give a ride, we can talk better on our way,” he offered, and she nodded all smiles.

Mr. Feng reported back on haven group, and Charles handed the documents to Violet who looked trough everything, and Mr. Feng exhaled heavily trying to act natural watching the papers flip on its own.
“Are you sure this is all?” Violet asked, and Charles looked at Mr. Feng.
“Mr. Feng, is that all?”
“Yes, sir,”
“That’s impossible, there is nothing authentic here,” she said.
“What do you mean?” Charles asked.
“He is hiding something from us, it’s evident in his face,” Violet said, and Charles looked at Mr. Feng.
“Mr. Feng, if you betray me that will really be the end of me,” Charles said, startling them.
“Charles, what are you saying?” Violet asked.
“Sir, I’ll never betray you. I vowed to serve the Harrison family and you are the last bloodline, how can you think so lowly of me?”
“What did you held back in the report? If you aren’t completely honest, that’s also equal to betrayal,”
“Sir, must you really do this?”
“I don’t know. But I feel like doing it now. I might change my mind later on,”
“Can you change your mind now,”
“Mr. Feng, I respect you so much, but I’ll never receive advice from you. You know that,”
“Sir…”
“If you are going to serve me as you vowed, then do it properly!”
“The chairman has no shares in the company,”
“What?” Charles and Violet shouted.
“The condition before merging the company was to transfer all his shares to the chairwoman, and he did that. She resigned as agreed upon, and transferred all her shares to you which makes you the real owner of the 70% shares that the chairman is holding at haven group,”
“Amazing! No wonder he doesn’t want me near that company,”
“That’s why he needed NJ chemicals as an alliance. Sir, that’s why this is dangerous. If you are fighting for your shares against the chairman’s wish that means crossing the chairman, and you can’t win that,”
“Wow. I have always wanted to cross dad. This is going to be more fun than I expected,”
“Since it has gotten to this, we need an external source to fight for us,” Violet said.
“What do you mean?”
“The legal team of haven group will take the chairman’s side, so we need an external legal counsel to fight for us,”
“Mr. Feng will take care of that,”
“What, sir?”
“I have a trusted person in mind,”Violet said.
“Who?” Charles asked.
“Sir…”
“Mr. Marson. He was the former head of legal team at Holt enterprise, but he resigned to start his own practice,”
“How good is he?”
“Good enough to know that I didn’t willingly transfer my asset to Maxwell. That’s why he resigned,”
“Then let’s go meet him,” Charles said, and she nodded.
“Mr. Feng, I gave you another assignment,”
“About the Holts’ enterprise that is now Martin’s’ enterprise,”
“It will still return to the true owner,” he said, and Violet chuckled.
“You’ve so much confidence,” she teased, and he winked.
“Mr. Feng, you are excused. We will get really busy later, so enjoy your leisure time while you can,” he said, and Mr. Feng nodded before leaving.
“We should start from paying Mr. Marson a visit,”
“No, we should start from relaxing. That flower land you took me to the other day, can we go there again?”
“Really?” she asked, and he held her hand.
She smiled brightly and they both appeared at the flower land and met few people there.
“When did this man got here?” the people grumbled, and Charles winked at Violet.
“It’s not as quiet as the last time,”
“Do you want us to go somewhere quiet?” Violet asked.
“Can we?”
They went to stand behind a tree and teleport to a beach where people were, and they left again and teleport to different places before they settled at a lonely island.
“After like forever,” Charles grumbled.
“Aren’t you curious about where we are?”
“As long as we are still in California, and you haven’t lost your ability to teleport, I’m not worried,”
“Yeah, we are still in California, but what if I get too weak and unable to teleport?”
“What? Does that happen?”
“You know more about ghosts than I do. How long were you with your mother, after…”
“Two years,”
“That long?”
“But it felt like few days after she left completely,”
“I’m sorry about that,”
“Since I answered your personal question, I’ll ask mine too,”
“What are you curious about?”
“What made you fall for your husband?”
“What?”
“I’m just curious. You seem like the hard type, and expected to settle for an arranged marriage,”
“I was gullible to settle for love,”
“Love? That’s creepy. But my mother also went for love. My father is her first love, she claimed,”
“But your mother was quiet lucky,”
“I doubt that. But you haven’t answered my question, what made you fall for him?”
“Why are you curious?”
“It’s my time to ask you a personal question,”
“But mine isn’t that personal,”
“I can tell you about all my ex, if it can make it even,”
“You can’t be serious,”
“Just answer me,”
“I honestly don’t know. We met fifteen years ago when I was a freshman in college, and I can’t even remember how it all happened,”
“That’s good,”
“How is it good?”
“It means you’ve moved on. Remembering all the memories spent with your loved ones only means you still yearn for them,”
“I have nothing but hate left for him,”
“Can you fall for someone else again?”
“What? How can I fall in love, I’m…”
“Whatever you are,you still have a heart, it might not be beating, but you have feelings,” he said, and touched her chest.
“Why does that matters to you?” she managed to ask.
“I don’t know, but I think I’m getting too attached. I’m not used to always being with a girl. I guess I have grown to fond of you,”
“Charles…”
“What happens when a human get too attracted to a ghost?” he asked, staring directly at her.
“Charles, I—“
“Should we find out?” he muttered, and helped her adjust a strand of hair from her face.
