*FEW WEEKS LATER*
AVERY’S POV
I woke up with a light yawn and stretches. I’m so excited because the 41 days are over, time to go to work and continue achieving my dreams.
I smiled at my baby girl, who’s still sleeping in her crib. I carried her and Brë@štfeed her which is still painful but not as the first time.
“Good morning my sunshines.” Aunt Rita… I mean mom walked in, dressed up “I guess you’re so excited about work.”
I scoffed as I wore my top properly, carried Ria on my chest and stood up “I’m so ready. I have to get ready.”
Mom carried Ria and we entered the bathroom. I took my bath, treat my stomach with hot water and medicines, aunt Rita bathed Ria.
After that, we went back to the room. Mom wore Ria a white onesie and pink tulle skirt with pink and white sock booties.
I wore white strapless flare dress, black Chanel blazer with black and white Gucci sandals, wore dangling earrings and small necklace.
I let my curly hair free and silky, applied some powder, eyeliner and lip gloss.
I wore my Chanel baby carrier and put baby Ria inside as she rested on my chest. I took my Chanel handbag.
“You two look beautiful.” Mom smiled “I’m glad you’re back to work, just be careful, okay?”
I smiled “Mom, I’ll be fine and happy. In fact, I’m gonna teach Ria how to lead the office.” I said playfully.
Mom grinned “I still wish you stay home for a while.”
I scoffed “No chance. I don’t wanna.”
“Well, in case you have some body pain, here’s some ginger and lime tea.” Mom said as she put the tea stainless bottle in my baby bag “Some Salmon salad.” She said, putting a pink small cooler in my bag “refreshing milk for you, baby milk for Ria, Ice pack…”
That ice pack made me remember the second time Rex and I had sëx. I really miss him but I don’t wanna go back to him. He almost ruined my life, seeing him again is like a threat into my life.
I don’t wish to see him again but I wanna feel him badly. Gosh! I h@të my mind.
“Avery!” Aunt Rita snapped out of my thoughts and smiled as she stretched her back “Here’s all the things you need when you get to work… Oh sorry, you’re not allowed to carry this load by yourself to the car… Sam!!!”
“Mom, I can help myself…”
“Shhh. You’re carrying my grandbaby.” Mom whispered.
I sighed with a smile patting Ria’s back as she’s moving playing with my big B@@bs.
The houseboy came and carried the baby bag, my emergency bag from mom, even my handbag. I’m only carrying Ria.
We left the house and went to the garage, and Sam dropped everything in my Porsche.
I smiled at mom “Thanks mom, I can take it from here…”
Mom glared at me knowing I wanna drive.
“Come on, can’t I at least do something on my own?” I asked feeling a little annoyed.
“No, because you have a lot of work in the office, so you’re not allowed to do things on your own yet and be careful at work please.” Mom scolded.
I sighed “Fine.” I removed Ria and kept her on her car seat then I sat beside her. The driver sat in his place and drove off.
*A’VERY COSMETIC COMPANY*
The car arrived in the garage of my company, I came out and carried Ria and put her in the baby carrier I’m wearing, then took my Chanel handbag.
The driver came out and carried the black emergency and baby bags, then followed me into the office building.
“Welcome back and congratulations boss!” All my employees cheered making me to feel overwhelmed and surprised.
They decorated the place with a glittered ‘Welcome Back’ banner, bows and confetti.
I smiled “Awwww, thanks guys. You did all this for me?”
My personal assistant, Hannah walked towards me “Congratulations ma’am, and welcome to the world, little cutie.”
Ria smiled at Hannah “She’s so adorable, what’s her name?”
“Her name is Ria.” I answered.
“Ria is a beautiful name.” Hannah smiled “Umm.. Lemme help you with your…” She collected the bags from the driver and he left.
I went straight to my office which is totally designed with black decorations and my big portrait.
I sat at my desk, sniffed heavily and smiled “Feels good to be back at work.”
I opened some docvments “So how’s Mrs Carmichael handling the company?”
“Great ma’am, last month we’ve made upto $1.3million dollars and we hired two qualified people and fired Assy.” Hannah explained.
“Very good because that girl is rude and doesn’t bring good image into my business. I’m so happy mom did all this.” I smiled.
“So, can I get you your coffee ma’am. 1 spoonful cream and 2 sugar?” Hannah asked.
I shook my head “Nah, I’ll get it myself.”
“But ma’am, I’m your assistant and you have a baby and you need to work in the office.” Hannah tried to protest.
I stood up “Hannah, you’ve tried a lot, yes I have a baby but I need to stroll a little, Mrs Carmichael didn’t allow me to work or walk so I need some exercise, and I just resumed, I’m not fully ready to work till tomorrow.”
Hannah nodded “Okay, ma’am.”
I’m just tired of people trying to take care of me. Mom wanted me to stay for one more week but I refused.
I’m ready to work but at the same time I’m not that ready.
I walked out of the office with Ria and left the building straight to the near by cafe called ‘Lá Báguétté Café.’
I went straight to the counter with a smile “Morning.” I greeted the waitress.
She smiled “Oh My God, Avery, congratulations. She’s so adorable.”
“Thank you.” I replied.
“So what can I get you?” She asked.
“A cup of my regular hot coffee and two slices whole wheat bread and do you have some baby milk?” I said.
“No, not really. Lemme arrange your order.” The waitress said as she’s arranging them.
“Avery?” I heard the familiar voice I don’t wanna hear.
I turned and was shocked to see him. Oh no? Why is he here? I don’t want to see anyone from SunLake.
“Marcus?” I gasped.
He looks more mature than before with his small mustache, his black suit and his wet looking hair combed to the back.
He smiled happily as he approached me “Oh my God, how have you been?”
I fake grinned “Great.” I replied as he shook my hand and doesn’t want to let go.
His smile faded as he saw the baby I’m carrying “Who’s she?”
I sighed “Marcus, this is my baby, Ria.”
He looked shocked and disturbed but smiled “You just had her?”
I nodded “Yeah, last month.”
He scoffed “Wow, congratulations. She’s beautiful.”
“Thank you. Can you go? People are starring at us.” I said feeling annoyed.
“Look I’m really sorry for hurting you. I really regret it.” Marcus said softly.
I rolled my eyes “Look, if it’s about us getting back together. That’s not gonna happen, ever. As you can see, I have a baby so…”
“I’m not trying to get us back, okay? I just want you to forgive me and be friends. Please.” He pleaded.
“I’m sorry but I don’t even want to see you. What are you even doing here in Crownsberg?” I asked.
“I’ve been here since after graduation, this is where I’ve been working. I’m a CEO now and I’m even getting married.” Marcus bragged.
“Hmm, to Kylie?” I asked.
He shook his head “Nah, she dumped me for another guy because of money that’s why I decided to take over my uncle’s business.”
“Really? Good.” I fake smiled “And wow, Who is she?”
“My high school classmate, Sharon. We’re getting married next week.” He explained.
“I just hope you didn’t break her heart and betray her like you use to.” I said.
“I promise.” He smiled.
“So…you’re getting married and still talking to your ex-girlfriend.”
“It doesn’t matter. I just want you to forgive me.” Marcus asked.
“Here’s your order ma’am.” The waitress said.
“Thank you.” I smiled and carried the tray.
“I’ll pay.” Marcus said as he quickly wanted paid the waitress before I could say anything.
“Sorry sir but she already has a discount here.” The waitress said and I smirked.
“It’s useless when you’re trying to help me because I can help myself and I have people by my side.” I said as I wanted to walk away.
Marcus grabbed my hand, giving me a sorrowful look “Avery please, I’m not even trying to get you back but at least let me help you. I lo… I’m really sorry, please. I can go on my knees just to get your forgiveness.”
I scoffed “Marcus, you cheated on me, used me, lied to me, betrayed me by having sëx with a girl that h@tës me, made your friends insult me in front of everyone… I don’t think you even deserve my forgiveness.”
Marcus bent his head, looking guilty.
“But I forgive you, because there’s no use of holding grudges against you. You’re getting married and I have a baby so…” I said.
Marcus smiled “Thanks so much.” get stretched his hand “Friends?”
“Errr.” Ria snuggled, she’s waking up and she’s ready for food.
“So who’s the father?” Marcus asked.
I glared at him. He doesn’t have any right to ask.
“I’m sorry.” He apologized.
“Just help me get a place to feed her.” I said.
“Waaa!!” Ria started crying.
“Come on sweetie, I’m coming.” I said.
I don’t want to sit in front of people, Brë@štfeeding my baby.
“Um, here, sit.” Marcus removed his blazer.
I sat down and he covered me with his blazer as I started Brë@štfeeding Ria.
I smiled “Thanks.”
“Anything for you, Friend.” He replied “You can eat your breakfast as you’re feeding her.”
“How?” I asked.
“I can feed you.” Marcus said as he sat beside me and started feeding me with the bread and coffee.
I allowed him because I’m so f*cking hungry. I didn’t eat from home and my real food is in the office. I totally forgot about that one.
STALKER’S POV
I secretly took different pics of Marcus and Avery. It’s obvious that they’re back together.
