Two days later
SALVATORE ACADEMY
Chrystal smiled as she read a text from Camila. She was still reading when she bumped into someone and her phone fell.
Ethan immediately picked it up before she could bend and gave it back to her.
“Sorry.” He muttered and walked away. Chrystal glanced back at him and shrugged before walking away. She met the girls in class and thankfully the teacher was yet to arrive.
She frowned upon seeing Swayer as miss Diane had advised her to stay out of classes for at least three to four days to get herself together.
“Swayer? I thought you’re supposed to be resting?” She asked sitting next to Ivory.
“I feel better now. I can’t keep missing class.” Swayer muttered.
? I heard she was assaulted at her own party
? Do you think she planned it just to get more attention?
? Who was that guy anyway?
Anna was literally boiling while listening to the side comments the students were making. She could notice Swayer’s hand shaking a bit already and so she lost it.
“Shut your d@mn mouth you idiots!” She snapped and everywhere went silent as everyone’s attention were on her now.
“What the f*ck is your problem?! Why can’t you mind your f*cking business?! It’s my fault for inviting your sorry @$$ to my apartment and if I hear one more word about that night from your useless mouths, you’ll regret ever coming to the party in the first place!” She threatened before sitting down, breathing heavily.
Swayer smiled a bit as she couldn’t help it. She loved how Anna was always taking care of her like her child even though they were the same age.
“Good job Anna. Never knew you had it in you.” Ivory chuckled.
The chemistry teacher came in before anyone could reply so they decided to drop it for now.
“Good day class. As you all know your final exams will be commencing three weeks after your school sports competition which is still undecided but still we need to wrap up on the topics left.” He said before facing the board.
“Gosh when did we even resume and we’re already talking about final exams?” Maeve asked with a pout.
“Last terms are the shortest. I really can’t wait to leave this school and go to college.” Fiona smiled.
“What college will you applying to?” Chrystal asked her.
“Harvard of course. My brain can’t go to waste.” Maeve said and they all giggled.
“Silence please. We would be dealing with the Alkenes today as part of the hydrocarbons so please pay attention as I will be giving assignments which would be submitted tomorrow to Swayer.” He announced and everyone groaned but still payed attention as he said.
An hour later, the class was over and everyone left feeling exhausted.
“Swayer are you sure you’re okay? You’ve been unusually quiet.” Fiona asked and all five faced Swayer.
“Girls stop it already. I can’t lie that night was terrifying but I would appreciate if we all pretended like it didn’t happen.” Swayer said with a frown.
“Sorry Sway but we can’t. That’s not something to just overlook especially to the victim.” Chrystal said with a worried expression.
“It didn’t even happen so what’s the big deal?!” Swayer snapped.
“You are definitely not okay Swayer and yes it’s a big deal. If Sebastian hadn’t opened the door in time..”
“Well he did and nothing happened so stop feeling sorry for me.” Swayer cut Anna off.
“Fine sorry.” Anna muttered.
“By the way, has that Pat guy woken up yet?” Maeve asked.
He was taken to the hospital and handcuffed to the bed after the doctors had cleaned up his bloody face and stitched his wounds but he was beaten up pretty bad and hasn’t woken up for two days.
“No, doctor’s said he might be in shock or something. Who knows, I don’t care anyways.” Fiona shrugged.
“Actually I need him to wake up. He said something to me before trying to… anyways it sounded like he had planned it with someone. Like he’s been monitoring us for a while and finally got the opportunity to hurt one of us.” Swayer said and everyone was thoughtful for a while.
“Swayer!!” They heard Fabiola scream as she rushed towards them, pulling Swayer into a tight embrace.
“Gosh I was so worried. I wasn’t allowed to see you for two days.” Fabiola said tearing up.
“Wait what?” Swayer asked with a frown, breaking the hug.
Fabiola looked up at the rest and Swayer turned to them.
“We thought it was best to give you space.” Fiona muttered.
“I’m sorry Faby, they were just looking out for me.” Swayer said with an apologetic smile.
Some students passed them by and began whispering while taking secret glances at Swayer and that just pissed Anna off even more but Swayer held her back before she could approach them.
“It’s okay Anna. Let them talk all they want. As for me, I would love to go eat right now.” She said with a smile and they all headed for the cafeteria.
Sebastian and Shaun looked up the moment they heard whispers from students and they could tell why on seeing Swayer.
Sebastian got up immediately and approached them at the counter as they were taking their meals.
“Swayer, are you okay?” He asked worriedly.
Swayer faced him with a straight face while the rest just continued putting food on their tray.
“Thank you for putting that guy in the hospital. I’m fine now so you can go back to eating.” She said coldly and that’s when everyone stopped filling their trays to look at Swayer.
Sebastian was more than confused as to why she answered him that way but he assumed it’s because of the trauma or something.
“Okay, it’s fine but just let me know if you..”
“If I need anything?” Swayer cut him off and scoffed.
“I already have everything so what more could you give me?”
“Swayer!” Fabiola called in shock. She knows Swayer must be hurting but insulting her brother isn’t the way to recover.
“Swayer you shouldn’t talk to him that way.” Anna muttered.
“And so what? Why can’t I talk to him that way? It’s not like he’s someone special to me. Do yourself a favor and get back to your meal Sebastian.” She said and moved to the other side of the counter to fill her tray.
Sebastian watched her for a while not knowing how to react. Why is she suddenly mad at him? He wasn’t the one who tried to assault her, he saved her and this is how she treats him?
“Sebastian I’m so sorry, she’s a little..”
“It’s okay Anna. I understand.” Sebastian said with a faint smile before going back to Shaun.
Fabiola on the other hand was glaring at Swayer. She didn’t like what happened at all and she didn’t know how to tell Swayer because she was worried it would affect her emotions more.
“I think I’ll just eat alone.” She muttered and walked away from the girls.
Anna faced Swayer with a frown and the moment Swayer turned, she froze at their questionable gaze.
“What?” she asked ignorantly.
“Why the sudden change in character? He saved you Swayer.” Anna said with a sad face.
“I already thanked him, so what? Should I be indebted to him now?” Swayer rolled her eyes.
“Did that guy accidentally hit you on the head? because right now you’re acting like someone with amnesia.” Chrystal said feeling perplexed.
“What are you even talking about?” Swayer asked also feeling confused.
“The guy you like saved your life and you insult him instead of thanking him? Maybe you need brain scan as well.” Fiona said with a frown.
“My brain is perfectly fine and if you’re not hungry, I am.” Swayer said and walked away.
The girls faced each other before joining her on the table. They ate their meals quietly.
TWO DAYS LATER
Swayer came out of the lab before anyone else and Sebastian immediately went after her. He was her partner and yet she barely talked to him or looked him in the eye. She just did the practical like she had no partner and even when he tried giving her anything, she would take it without sparing him a glance or saying thank you.
“Swayer stop!” Sebastian called out but she kept walking away.
Slowly, students began coming out and Anna was pissed as hell. She was at their back and noticed Swayer’s attitude and it got her really angry. This isn’t because of the incident as Swayer would never act like this unless it was something serious that happened.
Fabiola walked out of the lab and when Anna called her, she didn’t answer. She hasn’t been talking to them since Swayer started treating her brother like trash and she told Maeve she will be moving back in with Natasha soon.
“What could possibly be wrong with Swayer?” Anna asked no one before walking away sadly.

“Swayer!” Sebastian yelled angrily and that’s when she stopped. He’s been following her through the hallway like a fly and he’s feeling really pissed right now.
“Why? What did I do?” Sebastian asked as he didn’t know what else say.
“I don’t want you around me, isn’t that obvious?” Swayer asked glaring at him.
“Why? There must be a reason.” Sebastian said feeling hurt. It’s like history repeating itself again. What Swayer is doing now just reminded him of how Gwen broke up with him but thats the only difference, that he’s not dating Swayer yet.
“I’m not in the mood for this right now.” Swayer sighed and tried walking away but Sebastian pulled her by the wrist and began dragging her away.
“Hey let go of me!” Swayer yelled but he kept dragging her.
“Let go or I’ll scream!” Swayer yelled and Sebastian stopped walking but kept his hold on her wrist.
“You really think people would think I’m going to hurt you? Go ahead then…scream.” He muttered and the next thing Swayer knew, she was on his shoulder.
“Sebastian put me down right now!” Swayer yelled and kept hitting his back and kicking the air but he only put her down when they got to the swim building. He carried her all the way from the school building there.
The moment he entered the pool room, he locked the entrance and dropped her.
“What is wrong with you!” Swayer yelled breathing heavily.
“You! You are what’s wrong!” Sebastian yelled back.
“Why won’t you just stay away from me! Or do you need me to keep insulting you before you get the hint?!” Swayer yelled ruffling her hair.
“Oh so now you want me to stay away? I remember very clearly that I wanted to do that when I first enrolled here. I wanted nothing to do with you but you kept coming to me and acting all nice and now that I’ve gotten attached to you, you want me to stay away?” Sebastian rushed his word.
“I only did what anyone would do to a new student which is being nice. You’re not new anymore so get lost.” Swayer said and tried walking past him but her grabbed her hand and dragged her back.
“You are not going anywhere until we settle this.” He muttered.
“There’s nothing to settle Sebastian. Just stay away from me.” Swayer said coldly.
“Believe me I wish I could but I can’t.” Sebastian sighed, ruffling his hair.
“And why is that?”
“Because I’m f*cking in love with you!”
