“Carding” Paige said rushing to him.
“Are you alright?” She asked worriedly, Carding groans in pain.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was you” Paige said helping stand on his feet.
“You almost killed me ealier Miss” Carding said still bearing the pains he was feeling.
“Sorry, But you shouldn’t have approach me behind by back” Paige said rubbing his back softly to suppress the pain.
“I didn’t know you were a gangster” Carding said and Paige smiles.
“What’re you doing here? Do you live close by? Paige asked.
“No I don’t, i’m just taking a walk, but how did you know my name was Carding? I never told you” Carding said.
“I may not be brilliant but am good when it comes to memorizing people’s name, the very first day we met, I overheard your dad call your name when he was scolding you… And I kinda like your name Carding” Paige said smiling.
Carding looks at her and smiles.
*She’s beautiful* He said inwardly admiring her face.
“Is there something on my face?” She asked.
“Huh?”
“You keep staring at me, is there something on face?” Paige asked looking at him.
“Of course not…. Why’re you here anyways?” Carding asked.
Paige looks at the hamburger stand and smiles.
“This brought me here, but unfortunately I don’t have the money to buy it… Chicago is really meant for the well-off, I mean how can only one hamburger cost hundred dollars” Paige said licking her lower lips as she look at the hamburgers as it’s being dished out.
Carding looks at her, before going to the vendor selling the hamburger.
“Three Hamburgers” He said.
And in no time, the hamburgers was done and packaged for him.
“Here you go Miss” Carding said giving the plastic bag to her.
“Is this for me?” Paige asked pointing at herself
“Yes, and if you want more, I can get it for you” Carding said smiling.
“Awwwn, I love you” She said and began munching the hamburger.
“Ummm… It taste so yummy” Paige said dancing with her head, Carding smiles.
“Thanks alot Carding, when I grow up am going to pay you back” She said and Carding laughs.
“When you grow up? Are you nine years old? Anyways you don’t have to Miss, is nothing”.
“Paige”
“Huh?”
“My name is Paige, You should have just ask for my name instead of calling me Miss.. My name is Paige Castillo AKA crazy noise maker” Paige said and Carding smiles.
“Your really a noise marker”
“I know right” Paige said and both laughs
After the laugh die down, Paige looks at him.
“Carding”
“Yes Paige”
“Have you heard about the popular school called Empire High?” She asked and Carding looks at her.
“Yes. Why?”
“I want to attend that school”
“You want to attend Empire High!” Carding asked, and he could feel his heart jumping for joy, If she gets to attend Empire High, he’ll always see her face everyday at school.
“Yes, But is a school for the rich and taking the scholarship exam is the only way for me to go to that school”.
“I can help you out” Carding said sharply and Paige looks at her.
“How?” Paige asked.
Carding smiles and takes her hand.
“Come with me” Carding said leaving with her, Paige smiles and willing followed him.

EMPIRE HIGH SCHOOL=CAD’S LOUNGE***
“Wow, Where’s this place?” Paige asked looking around the lounge.
“It belongs to I and my friend, we relax here after class” Carding replies admiring her beautiful face.
“After class?”
“Yes, I school here too”
“So this place is the popular Empire High? No wonder is so expensive” Paige said looking around.
She takes the dart and targeted it on the dartboard and she got it perfectly, and that made her smile, Carding also smiled as well.
“But what are we doing here?” She asked some minutes later.
*Should I tell her my dad owns this school? I guess not* Carding said inwardly.
“Carding?”
Carding looks at her and smiles.
“To lecture you” He said smiling.
“Huh? Lecture me?” Paige asked.
“Yes, I know most of the questions been asked during the scholarship exam”.
“Wow, So your intelligent” Paige said smiling.
“Yes I am” Carding replies.
He made her sit on the couch and Paige frowns seeing him bringing out some textbooks from the drawer.
“You h@të studying”
“How did you know that?” Paige asked curiously looking at him and Carding smiles.
“Is obviously showing in your face… Empire High exams are the hardest exams one can come across with, that’s why at the end of the day only few students is lucky to pass”.
“You seem to know a lot about this school”.
“Just try solving this, is the simplest sum” Carding said giving her some questions to solve.
Paige reluctantly took it from and her eyes scans through the questions.
*How can he say is simple, I dunno even know how to begin* Paige said taking the pen Carding gave to her inside her mouth.
“Are you all right?” Carding asked.
Paige fakes a smile and began ticking any options that comes to her head.
“All done” She said some minutes later.
Carding looked at what she answered and back to her.
“What class are you in?” He asked.
“My final year in High School” Paige answers.
“Really? Your final year?”
“Yes, an art students in her final year in High School” Paige said.
“And you failed all the sums that a kid from elementary school can answer correctly”
“Book isn’t my thing, I have nothing in my head” Paige said demonstrating and Carding almost laughed crazily.
“Then how were you able to make it to your final year in highschool”.
“Through smart moves, am not smart, but am smart when it comes to spying from others, and I also cheat my way through in exams, that’s how have been able to pass…. Maybe I should also cheat during the scholarship exam too right?” She asked smiling and Carding hits her forehead with the pen he was holding.
“Ouch, What’s that for?” She asked with a pout and Carding smiles.
“You possibly can’t cheat your way through in Empire High”
“And why not?”
“Cos there’re CCTVS everywhere, that’s why students in Empire High always read to pass”
“That’s right, I forgot is the rich kids kinda school” Paige said.
“Come closer, I’ll teach you”
Paige snuggle closer to Carding.
“Now let’s begin with the simplest question” Carding said flipping through the pages of the textbook.
*He smells so nice, Guess his perfume is more costly their the entire houses in my neighborhood* Paige said inwardly inhaling Carding’s fragrance.
“What’re you doing?” He asked and Paige giggles shaking her head.
Carding began lecturing her, she was actually nodding her head and making an mmm sound, but her eyes was fixed on Carding’s face.
*His handsome* She said inwardly as she continues looking at his face, smiling.
