SPORTS DAY! (1)
THE RACE
SALVATORE ACADEMY
The students were all in their sports wears, some ready to storm the field while others sat at the bleachers with onlookers, parents and teachers involved.
Some of the juniors students whom no one has seen in like forever due to their isolated system were also seated on the bleachers to cheer their classmates.
There were four houses, blue, green, yellow and purple respectively. Each mixed with junior and senior students to make things a bit fair.
Swayer and the girls came out of the locker room looking hot as ever in just sports wear. They all tied their hair in a cute ponytail using the same hair band with the same color.
“So I know we all aren’t in the same house but I wish you girls good luck.” Maeve said with a smile before running off to meet her housemates. She’s a greenhouse member along with Kyle and other senior students as well as some juniors.
“Gosh it’s like they’re foreigners. It feels weird being on a team with people you never knew existed.” Chrystal said as she stared at the puny students.
A junior girl wearing an orange sports wear along side three others all wearing different sports wear suddenly approached them with smiles on their faces.
“Good day seniors.” They said simultaneously.
Swayer exchanged looks with the girls as it was a bit weird before smiling at them.
“Good day.” She replied on their behalf.
“You ladies are the famics right?” One of them asked carefully and Swayer bounced her head.
“Gosh we’ve heard so much about you! We are your biggest fans!” Another gushed and Anna began laughing.
“Fans? What are we, celebrities?” She chuckled but the smiles on the little girls faces brightened even more.
“You’re senior Anna Salmore right?” The girl on a purple sports wear along with Anna and Swayer asked. it could be denoted she was on the same house as them.
“Yes I am.” Anna responded cheerfully. it felt nice talking to the juniors and she didn’t want to be rude. During their time, they never got the opportunity to see the seniors until graduation where everyone attended.
“I am Stella. You’re like my role model senior Anna. I love your free spirit and cheerfulness and liveliness and..”
“Hold on.” Anna cut her off. “I think you’re describing Swayer.” She added and Stella furrowed her brows.
“No, she’s describing you alright.” Swayer chuckled and faced Fiona who had a sad expression.
“What’s wrong?” She asked worriedly.
“I don’t like the fact that we are in different houses.” Fiona muttered. She and Chrystal were in the same Blue house while Ivory was in the yellow house.
“Hey at least you got to be with Chrystal. What about Maeve and I? We are alone.” Ivory said with a frown.
“It’s just a game silly. We will still be together after everything but I’m definitely gonna kick your asses.” Chrystal winked and everyone laughed.
They hugged each other before going to join their houses.
“Come on Stella, let’s go get that trophy.” Swayer said and she grabbed Stella’s hand and pulled her towards the field.
As each house entered the field, the onlookers cheered them alongside the cheerleaders, Fabiola included.
She twirled and moved gracefully according to the dance they had practiced and Shaun kept looking at her lustfully, forgetting were he was.
Ethan had been staring at him for a while until he got fed up and smacked him on the head.
“Ouch! Dude what the hell!” Shaun yelled glaring at him.
“Focus, you can have her anytime.” Ethan winked and Shaun bit his buttom lip as he realized he’s been caught.
“Alright alright alright alright!” Principal Donald said through the mike and everyone began cheering, onlookers, cheerleaders and participants.
“I would like to welcome everyone to our tenth inter-house sports competition!” He said and everyone applauded.
“Now we don’t want to stress the students too much so this competition will be held for two days. Today will be for the race and every other little game while tomorrow will be for our soccer teams.” He announced and everyone applauded again.
“We are going to have three type of race. Egg race, sack race and relay race. The juniors will participate in the sack race and egg race while there will be a mix in the relay race.” He announced and everyone applauded again.
“Now remember, it’s not all about winning but also about having fun. Let’s all have fun!” He cheered and the houses began taking formation.
The first set of juniors lined up and a flat mouthed spoon was handed to them.
Four boiled eggs were placed on the spoon, boiled so it can have more weight.
Stella was part of those participating for the purple house and Swayer and Anna were cheering for her.
They held the eggs carefully and the moment they heard the whistle, they began walking really fast while trying to prevent the egg from falling.
“Go Stella!!” Anna yelled as Stella was leading followed by a junior guy from yellow house. Blue house and Green house were both at the same pace.
Stella kept walking not looking up rather her attention was on the egg. She never knew there was a slight bump ahead and ended up hitting it, causing her egg to fall.
“d@mn it!” Anna cursed as she thought they were going to win.
The girl racing for blue house passed the boy of green house and soon, yellow house came first followed by blue and green last with purple disqualified.
Everyone cheered for their house except purple house who wore a disappointed look.
“I’m sorry seniors, I’ll do better next time.” Stella muttered sadly.
“That’s fine dear. You’ll get it next time.” Swayer said and patted her back.
The next was the sack race and Stella was participating for the purple house again while the rest changed participants.
The race began and this time Stella was last which made the other hosues happy to see them loosing but the moment the girl participating for green house fell, Stella passed her and the purple house began cheering.
“Go Stella!!” Anna yelled
Stella passed another girl running for the yellow house and when it seemed like the blue house would win, Stella suddenly passed her and crossed the finished line.
Everyone cheered for her as the never thought she would come first.
“I’m proud of you little bird.” Swayer smiled at her.
And finally the race everyone was waiting for.
Swayer and Anna went into the field along with Maeve, Kyle, Sebastian, Chrystal, Ivory, Natasha, kandle, Shaun and some juniors students for the relay race.
Anna was at the first line along with Maeve, Chrystal and Natasha.
The juniors were at the second line. Swayer, Ivory, Hailey and Rosella were at the thrird line and the guys were at the last line.
The moment the baton was handed to those at the first line, the whistle was blown and everyone took off.
Chrystal was leading followed by Anna before Natasha and lastly Maeve.
They got to the junior students and handed them their baton. The student running for the yellow house got to Ivory and she took off first before the rest but soon Swayer reached her but Ivory handed her baton to Shaun first before Swayer handed hers to Sebastian and the moment the other two received theirs, a hot race broke out.
Sebastian having started after Shaun kept trying to reach him while kandle and Kyle were on each other’s neck.
“Go babes!!” Natasha cheered kandle even though he was obviously dragging the last position with Kyle.
“You can do it Shaun!” Ivory cheered, jumping up and down even though she was tired. The fact that the yellow house was leading gave her more energy.
“Come on Sebastian, just a little more.” Swayer muttered. She had fate in him so she just had to stay calm and hope for the best.
Kandle finally passed Kyle and was coming for Sebastian. They were now close to the finish line but Shaun became tired as he’s been on full speed since the beginning and began slowing down.
Sebastian passed him immediately and soon Kandle but they got to the finish line before kyle could pass him as well.
Swayer immediately ran all the way to the finish line and jumped on Sebastian, wrapping her legs around his waist.
“I knew you could do it ironman.” She said with an adorable smile before pecking him on the cheek.
Sebastian was tired but he dared not put his lady down. He carried her back to their canopy and sat down with her on his laps.
Swayer brought out her handkerchief and began wiping his face.
“Gosh get a room you two.” Chrystal rolled her eyes but laughed later.
“Finally this is over. What next?” Anna asked with a smile.
“Swimming.” Stella gushed.
