“Why am I needed sir?” Newton asked still giving Adam the pure look of confusion.
“You know Myles right? Your ex?”
“Yeah.uhh I do”
“We need you to come with us. We have few questions for you, So would you mind please?” Adam asked warmly. Newton sadly sighed and tried to get his moody face off.
“Okay sir, Let’s go” He finally said.
“Excuse me. But is it about Mr Brooklyn hit-and-run accident?” Samantha asked. It drew Adam’s attention to her. He smiled and nodded.
“Do you know him?” Adam asked
“He’s Samuel. His son” Newton spoke for her.
“Samuel? Wow.. What a big coincidence” Adam smiled. Samantha returned the smile and bowed lightly.
“Are you getting something now?” She asked.
“Yeah. It’s all thanks to your sister. She’s really smart” He replied
“I know right but she can be annoying sometimes–She replied in a childish whisper. They both laughed.
“Nevertheless, Please take care of her” Samantha said now bowing her head really low.
“There isn’t a problem. Okay then, Have a good day”
“You too sir. Thank you so much… Huh, Wait!” She suddenly raised her voice.
“Huh? Me?” Adam stopped looking at her.
“No. Him” She pointed at Newton who kept his moody face down. She went to him, faced him and held the hem of his shirt’s arm.
“Come back quick and stay safe” She whispered. Newton smiled and nodded.
“Okay. I will, Will you wait till I come?”
“Should I?” She asked
“No. Geez, I was just pulling your legs. Now, off you go. Sir, We can go now!” Newton looked at her again and held her soft hand which was still on his hem. He removed her hand slowly and gently dropped it. He gave her a heart warming smile and finally left. Adam followed from behind. Samantha sighed sadly as Blaze watched from behind.

“We are about to start now. Don’t worry, we aren’t suspecting you. We just wanna ask few questions? I hope you are okay with that?” Adam asked. Newton inhaled deeply and nodded interlocking both fingers together.
Adam sat opposite to him as he turned the pages of his large note book.
“So, My first question, Please answer directly, If you don’t understand something, Lemme know? Okay?–
“Okay”
…On the 19th of September around 10:35pm, Where were you?”
“I was at home with my friends”
“Did you call Myles that night?”
“No. But I was expecting her that night”
“You were expecting her?” Adam asked furrowing his eyebrows. He placed the pen bottom close to his lips.
“Yeah” Newton replied
“Why?”
“We wanted to just see each other and hang out, you know like how normal lovers would do?”
“Oh. So, She missed the meet up then?”
“Yeah”
“When did you see her next after that night?”
“She came over to my place the next morning”
“Did you ask her why she didn’t meet up?”
“Well. I did ask her but she felt uncomfortable and just apologized for missing it”
“I see. This is getting interesting. So, Did she do anything out of the ordinary?”
“Nah”
“You sure?”
“I guess?”
“Think harder. You must have missed something. Even if it’s a tiny bit”
“Oh. I just remembered something!”
“What? What? What is it??…Out with it!??”
“We were kissi–Newton paused and nervously looked away. He was embarrassed.
“Hey. Say everything that happened. No need to feel this way. We are at a police station and not a fan signing event. It’s not gonna appear online or in the papers”
“Okay.. Uh, We were.. uhh, making out like how other lovers would do when she received a call. She looked at her phone screen and her mood suddenly changed. I asked her to pick it but she waved it aside. I noticed she wanted to pick it but she was trying to dodge my presence….
“Why are you stopping? Continue please”
“Uhmm, This is actually so embarrassing”
“Geez. I told you before. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Say it already, I’m losing my patience”
“Huh. Okay, So… She told me she was stained–
“Stained? Stained? As in how?”
“Stained as in “Stained”. Blood stains” Newton explained feeling so embarrassed.
He coughed loudly as he tried to avoid eye contact. Adam became a little embarrassed as well but tried to hide it.
“Okay then. Just continue” Adam said quietly.
“She asked me to get a sanitary pad which I did. When I returned and gave it to her, Suprisedly, She turned it down”
“Oh.. It seems she picked the call when you left. She knew what she was doing after all”
“She lied to me?”
“Sure. She did! Are you disappointed?”
“Yeah. A little. Can’t believe she wasn’t stained, But I kinda know Myles . I’m not sure she can do something like this. I hope you are gonna look deeper into this case and I also hope you will understand and handle her with care”
“No problem. Seems you still like her?”
“I don’t really know anymore” Newton replied touching his hair.
“Huh?”
“I don’t understand myself and feelings anymore” He tried explaining but Adam still looked so confused.
“Uhhm, Leave that aside. So, It seems the caller is the real deal. Oh, That’s Carly ” Adam smiled pointing over Newton’s broad shoulders. He quickly looked behind and his eyes met Carly.
“Who’s she?” He asked.
“She’s our smallie. She’s working with me for now concerning this case”
“What? Really? It’s incredible! Wow!”
“I know right. Anyways, She’s really good. But, Do you think she looks somewhat familiar?”Adam sniffed watching Carly come closer.
“Huh. I don’t really kn–wait a minute, She has a little resemblance to Samuel! Wait, Don’t tell me that her sister?”
“Sure is, Ma Boy!” Adam exclaimed with laughter.
“d@mn! I’m so surprised to the extent I’m going crazily shocked. Aiish, But how come, Samuel isn’t smart like his sister?” Newton teased laughing as well.
“Hello!, Good day Sir” Carly’s sweet voice interrupted them.
“Huhhn. Hello there?” Newton smiled
“Who are you please? Sorry for asking though” Carly asked
“No. It’s okay.. Actually, I know you and you are gonna know me too”
“Huh? Seriously? Am I that famous now? Where do you know me from?” Alicia asked
“Aren’t you Samuel sister?”
“Samuel ? You mean Saman-Carly paused and bit her lip hard.
Oh, Yeah. I see you’ve met my brother already”
“Well. He works as a house keeper”
“Kinda Nice. Wow, Hey! Are you Newton? From SB!?”
“Well. Yeah!”
“Amazing! I need your autograph like crazy right now! When Samuel told me she was working for you. I refused to believe! Anyways, Newton
.. It’s nice to meet you” She smiled feeling very excited
“It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Carly ” He chuckled as they stared at each other.

“Aiish! That Tom Boy! What the hell, Samuel? ACK!! You’ve got to be kidding me” Carly thought as she awkwardly formed a smile.
