NEXT DAY***
Melanie walked into the school with a solemn look on her face. By the time she left the house, she could sense Axel wasn’t at home as everywhere was silent.
Her thoughts were filled with her Mom’s words. She should come back home? Is that the end of seeing Axel for her?
And she should send Paisley over?
She sighed and stomped her foot on the ground angrily. Her Mom still treats her like the young girl of six years old, whereas she was twenty!
“Gosh,” she grumbled as she made her way to a chair around the school.
She sat on it and placed her bag on her lap. Her mind drifted to Paisley, was she that heartless as to ignore her parent’s calls?
And how’s she going to react when she delivers her Mom’s message to her?
“Melanie?” She snapped out of her thoughts immediately when she heard her name. She raised her head and saw Kylie staring down at her worriedly.
He was looking extra handsome today, she sighed and took her eyes away.
Kylie itched his hair nervously before sitting down beside her.
“I’m sorry,” he started.
Melanie turned to him.
“I shouldn’t have said that. I was just…. Jealous,” he sighed.
“I was heartbroken when I learnt that you and Axel stayed together, I just couldn’t think straight.”
“I was only worried, and… Hearing from the students and Axel himself that you’re his girlfriend shattered my heart a lot, I couldn’t think straight and I said some harsh words… I’m sorry,” Kylie muttered.
Melanie smiled gently.
“I perfectly understand you, Kylie. And… I guess I’ll be moving out of the house soon,” she mumbled.
“Why?”
“It had to be done, my Mom mustn’t find out that I stay in the same apartment as a guy, she’s gonna kill me,” Melanie chuckled.
“Then… You aren’t dating Axel?” Kylie asked with a glint of hope in his eyes.
“Yeah. It was all a lie, he did that to save me from the students,” Melanie said.
“Wow! I never expected such from him, I thought he was a bad person after all he’s a bad boy,” Kylie smiled.
“I thought so at first, but he proved me wrong. He’s a good guy, a nice one at that. He’s cute, he’s caring, and…” Melanie smiled, staring into space.
Kylie watched her curiously.
“I just love everything about him,” Melanie completed
“What?”
Melanie snapped her head towards him when she realized what she just uttered out.
“That’s not what I mean. I mean, he was always there whenever I needed help, he was there for me whenever I needed a shoulder to lean on, I love that about him,” she smiled awkwardly.
“Then if I do that for you, would you love me too?” Kylie suddenly asked.
Melanie choked on her breath.
“Then I need to start trying, I’ll do every possible means to make sure you love me back,” he smiled.
Melanie shifted uncomfortably where she sat and itched her hair.

Paisley was on her way to the cafeteria when she came across Melanie. She tried to walk past her but Melanie stopped her immediately.
“We need to talk,” Melanie muttered.
Paisley rolled her eyes before staring at her.
“What exactly? Are you here to apologize for misjudging me?” She asked.
“Mom asked to see you,” Melanie blurted out.
“Aunt did?” Paisley asked in surprise.
“I’m surprised you still addressed her as your aunt. You have been ignoring her calls lately and she asked to see you,” Melanie muttered
“I guess we’re both in trouble,” she sighed.
Paisley bit her lips.
“By the way, are you sure you aren’t the one who posted the rumor on the blog?” Melanie asked
“You should know me more than anyone else,” Paisley scoffed.
“Well, I don’t. I thought I knew you, but I found out that I don’t the day you betrayed me by sleeping with my boyfriend,” Melanie smirked.
“Lanie!” Lauren screamed, rushing to the scene.
She eyes Paisley before holding Melanie’s arm.
“Aren’t you going to the cafeteria?” She asked.
“Well, I am. See ya’ later,” Melanie stared at Paisley before walking away.
Lauren stuck her tongue at Paisley and ran after Melanie.
Paisley heaved a sigh as her mind drifted to Melanie’s parents. Truth be told, she badly missed them a lot, but how could she face them when she betrayed their only daughter?

“What were you talking about with her?” Lauren asked Melanie on their way to the cafeteria.
“Something, I guess,” Melanie muttered.
Lauren pouts.
“Are you keeping something from me now?” She asked.
Melanie glanced at her and smiled. Lauren doesn’t seem like a bad person to her, but she couldn’t trust her, not yet.
She needs to follow Axel’s advice.
At the mention of his name, her heart started beating fast. She hadn’t set her eyes on him and she missed him greatly.
“Lanie?” Lauren called.
“I’m not keeping any secrets from you Lauren. By the way, how’s Julie?” Melanie asked.
“She said she ain’t coming today, I hope she’s fine” Lauren said.
Melanie didn’t say a word as they continued their journey to the cafeteria.

WINK MODELLING AGENCY***
? Wow, is this a human?
? He’s so hot! He’s gonna fit perfectly for a model
? Gosh, in tripping!
? I’d like to shoot with him someday
Different murmurings filled the agency as Axel made way into the Director’s office.
The Director gasped immediately he set his eyes on Axel.
“Congressman Greg Braun’s son??” He asked in disbelief.
Axel smiled and walked briskly to him.
The Director quickly stood up and bowed his head to him.
“Welcome, it’s such an honor to find you here,” he smiled.
Axel smiled.
“I’d prefer if you don’t use honorifics for me, be informal please” he muttered.
The Director raised his head and directed him to a chair.
Axel sat down opposite him and folded his arms against his chest.
“I don’t have to interview you or any sort because you’re qualified already” the Director said.
Axel raised a brow.
“Is this because of my identity?” He asked
“No. You’re exactly what we needed at this moment, your physique is so good,”
Axel smiled.
“Thanks,”
“So, shall we move to the next deal?” The Director asked.
“Yes,”
“Your first shoot will be with the popular model, Sierra Ashford” The Director said
At that moment, the door flung open and an extremely gorgeous lady walked in, walking elegantly into the office, taking her heels slowly.
A smile found its way to her lips when her eyes fell on the demigod on the chair.
“Perfect,” she smiled.
