My name is Kalinda Arnold, I’m the daughter of the last priestess who was brutally R@PED and killed by king Tyrone.
My mother foresees a prophecy in his head that’s what lead to her death, she told him that “A KING SHALL FALL AND A KING SHALL RAISE”
A child that is born of him shall be greater than him, this child shall be his doom
I watch my mother die in cold blood but something mysterious happened at the last minute.
An Immortal being lives inside of me, passed to me by my dying mother, it gives me the power of invisibility and helped me escape from the wrath of King Tyrone.
I’m on a quest to find the born King but it’s something that has been challenging, King Tyrone wants me dead at all cost
I’m born with a terrible dark fate and only me and me alone will rewrite my fate, but how?
I have been running all my life because my mother told me to never stop running, Killing is what I do to survive
WHO IS KING TYRONE? ?
King Tyrone is a Tyrant who wants to be seen and worshipped as a God and will go to any length to make sure of that.
He is a power-hungry man who gullibly believes three witches’ prophecy that he is God.
King Tyrone gets obsessed with this idea of being called God and decides that he must take necessary steps just to ensure that the prophecy which says that he shall fall will not come true.
When he heard of the prophecy, he will not rest until he stops it from coming to pass.
He makes no effort to gain what he wants and he doesn’t even have the ability to feel emotion.
King Tyrone is known as a ruthless conqueror for his evil doing, he killed over 100,00 people, conquered Habita (the last priestess) and all he wanted was to be called God.
He also drove 150,000 people out of their own Kingdom. He didn’t care at all if they died or were driven out of their Kingdom. Many people lost family, friends, and Love ones.
To stop the prophecy, King Tyrone wants Kalinda dead…
He wants to take away the immortal being inside her, but it can only be passed willingly he can also take it forcefully through intimacy under the full moon
Kalinda is set to find the true King and King Tyrone is out searching for her

The breathing of two people running can be heard
“C’mon Jeff, run faster” they are coming,” Kalinda said, she is ahead of him
“Am tired, I can’t run anymore,” Jeffery replied, he slowed down a little bit trying to catch his breathe
They have been running for days as the King’s army won’t stop chasing them wherever they go
They have been friends since childhood but Jeff knows just a little about her
“Look there,” Kalinda said pointing at a village not far from where they are
“We will rest in that village” try not to die till we get there, you just have to keep running, okay?” She said and he nodded gently
“Alright, I will try and hold my breath but am becoming tired, it still looks like that village is miles away from here” Jeffrey replied, he staggered and nearly fell but he managed to maintain his balance
“We are almost there, all you have to do is be strong, or would you rather stay here and get killed by those monsters?” Kalinda asked, she stopped so that he will catch up with her
She doesn’t even look like someone who has been running for days, and he wondered why? Why is she strong and Galant?? Huh? We both started this race together, why am I the only one feeling the pain??
“That’s enough, have heard. let’s keep running,” Jeffery said getting Annoyed by Kalinda’s Bossy behavior
Kalinda looked at him and funny enough she could see his face through the dark
“What’s with the long face? Seriously Jeff are you Angry?” Kalinda asked staring at him
“Leave me alone, I don’t have enough strength to talk ” Jeffrey replied instead and rolled his eyes
They continue running till they get to the next Village, everyone was busy minding their own business, But not for too long cos King Tyrone’s army tracks them down
“Search every building here, find them, and bring them to me,” The head warrior said
Kalinda saw them and quickly pulled Jeffrey roughly and forced him down
They hide behind an old wooden house, that looks too old and needs renovation
“Seems like the owner of this place is dead, cos I can’t see why a human being will allow his/her house to be like this,” Jeffrey complained looking around
“Shout up Jeff, they might hear you,” Kalinda said covering his mouth with her hand
She sighted a warrior coming in their direction
“Let go of me,” Jeff struggled to free Kalinda’s hand from his mouth but she was stronger than him.
“Shhhh” stay calm they are coming this way,” Kalinda whispered Into his left ear but they weren’t lucky enough cos they found them
“There they are!” the first warrior that saw them shouted,” alerting the others
They quickly rushed out and Kalinda faced Jeffrey
“Run Jeff, run!!” Kalinda’s loud voice could be heard
“I can’t leave you here,” Jeff replied and move toward King Tyrone’s army with his sword
They are now surrounded by more than 20 army
Seeing Jeffrey on the battlefield Kalinda drowns her sword and charges toward them too
her moves were incredible as she fight with anger and pain.
She sighted a man running from the other end, and charge towards him, he was too strong, but there is nothing she can’t handle
Soon the man drops dead, she runs towards Jeff and helps him in fighting others
She was still busy fighting with that one, that she didn’t know when another guard gave Jeff a cut on his arm
“Argh” Jeff cried out, but he wasn’t going to giving up
he held his sword that was strained with so much blood and moved towards the man that cut his arm, with one swift move the man’s head came rolling on the ground
“Bastards,” Jeff yelled angrily
“You can never escape death,” the guard that Kalinda is about to kill said to her
“You talk too much; Kalinda replied and stab him straight in his heart, and he drop dead instantly
“More are coming we need to run Jeff!,” Kalinda said and he shook his head negatively
“No more running, we have to finish this here and now,” Jeff replied moving forward
She held his clothe and pulled him back, staring directly at his face
“Are you crazy? These men are more than we can handle” Kalinda yelled trying to talk sense into his head
“Fine, then let’s move,” Jeffrey replied
“Here take this,” Kalinda gave him her sword and run towards a horse
“They are trying to escape,” one of the warriors yelled
“Yah …..Yeah…Yeah.. c’mon Jeff, jump!” Kalinda shouted
She opened her left palm while holding the horse rope with her other hand, Jeffrey grabbed hold of her and she pulled him up behind her
Kalinda controlled the horse till they get close to the boundary, They were about to cross to the other side when another group of warriors surrounded them
they were more than 60 in number, each with a red banner even the blind could tell that they are King Tyrone’s army
“Look who we have here,” the commander said in a mocking tone
“I can give you a slow death once you let me get there, what a pity! a pretty girl like you have to leave this beautiful world soon. Well let me make an offer,” the commander said, his eyes roaming around Kalinda’s body
“What offer? Kalinda asked almost immediately
“I want to get down there in peace, no struggle,” the Commander replied pointing at her legs
Kalinda kept quiet for five minutes and Jeffery was already shaking, he can’t bear the sight of another man touching Kalinda
They aren’t dating but he loves her a lot, he has tried to get her attention but she’s just not the love type cos she never shows any feelings
She doesn’t believe in love and she never talks of her past, though they are friends she has limited time to talk
He doesn’t even know everything about her and her mother being a powerful priestess even he was afraid to get too close to her
Her mother was very power that everyone in their community respect her, she protected her people until she was overpowered by king Tyrone
” What? No Kalinda you can’t let him do that,” Jeffrey said but it was more like a whisper
“I never said I was going to do it either,” Kalinda said out loud
“Well…well then you leave me with no choice then, but you have got only one more chance left. Come down from your horse and follow us to the King or watch him die,” The commander said pointing at Jeffrey
“And you will still follow me after his death,” he added meaning every word
“What if I say no?” Kalinda asked
“Don’t try to be stubborn, you won’t like it,” the commander replied
Kalinda kept quiet
“Kalinda don’t go with them, let them take me instead,” Jeffery said
“Jeff, they don’t want you, they only want me that’s why they can’t take you even if you offer yourself to them. they will only kill you, and I can’t let you die, no! I can’t leave without you cos you have become part of me,” Kalinda replied with a straight face
“Okay, I will distract them, and then you run,” Jeff said and she scoffed
“Look who wants to distract them, when you can’t even fight very well,” Kalinda mocked
“But I fought back there,” Jeff pouted
” And yet you get cut,” Kalinda uttered
“I love you, Kalinda, I don’t want you to die ” Jeff replied almost in tears
She didn’t even look at him
“I have always loved you right from when we were little kids, I have always imagined what it will be like if you become my wife… I was too scared to tell you cos I fear you might get angry and beat me up, I love you so much that I can’t allow you to die without telling you how much I love you. The gods are so cruel for giving you such fate,” Jeffrey said sadly
“Jeff, you can’t change fate” that’s what you have to know, even though they didn’t kill me, I will still die,” Kalinda replied, she totally ignored his confession
That’s what she always does, ignoring him whenever he comes with the love story, she will just overlook it and act as if she doesn’t care
“I wish I can see them, I would have gone to them and done the unthinkable to them, I know you might not love me. But is fine as far as I have confessed my love to you am okay, but always remember Jeffery Robert loves you so much…”
“When was the last time you visited a herbalist for a special problem? She gently asked
“I don’t need to visit any Herbalist, I’m fine; Jeff replied
“I know you are fine” is just a question. Kalinda said
“I haven’t, Never! why?”Jeff asked confused
“You need to go for a mental check-up before it’s too late,” Kalinda replied and he frowned
“Mental checkup! How? Why? Jeffrey muttered
“Cos you’re running crazy, isn’t it obvious? How can you say Sh|t when you no I don’t love, am gonna die any day don’t you get it? Kalinda asked with seriousness written on her face
King Tyrone’s army was still waiting for them, their commander is enjoying their discussion, every bit of it.
“I’m serious Kalinda” Jeff replied
“Keep imagining things your head can’t carry,” Kalinda said
Jeffrey was silent making her wonder why, she slowly turned back to ask why the silence
Without her notice Jeff crushed his lips on hers, she was too shocked that she didn’t kiss him back
Kalinda was just watching him have his way with her lips, it was after some minutes that Jeff pulled away from her
“Kill her!! Commander ordered instantly, he has heard enough
“But King Tyrone wants her alive? His right-hand man reminded him
“Are you now challenging me? Commander asked enraged
“Forgive me, my Lord” the guard quickly apologize
“Good boy, now kill her, or do you want me to kill you instead? Their Commander asked Looking straight into his face
Without a warning he set the arrow straight to Kalinda’s position, he draws back the arrow before releasing it
Kalinda was still shocked at Jeff’s confessions and behavior towards her that she didn’t notice the arrow coming her way
She knew he loves her and she loves him too but she wasn’t expecting this type of love, she just want normal love not this annoying stage love
“Kalinda watch out!!!” Jeff shouted bringing her out of the imaginary world
But it was already too late
“Argh… Came to a loud scream and a body came rolling down from the horse
“Hahaha… No one dares me, no one,” the Commander bragged
“I told you to come in peace, and you want to prove stubborn,” the commander laughed
Kalinda jump down the horse and fell beside Jeffrey
“No… No… Jeff c’mon, why did you do that, are you crazy?” She said shaking his body
Jeffrey pushed her forward and took the arrow
” Jeff…”
“Jeff, please look at me,” she tapped his cheeks and he forced his eye open
Blood gushing out from his mouth, he tried to talk but got choked with blood
“Please don’t leave me, you’re the only one I have left,” Kalinda said, tears fighting their way out of her eyes
“Ka……lin…..da….” His words broke into pieces as he spites them out, coughing out blood
“Stay with me okay? If you die I will die and nobody will find the stupid king,” She said but his eye slowly went close
“Jeff…”
“Jeff….”
“Jeff… Jeff… Jeffrey!!!” Came her mighty voice followed by a heavy wind
The trees around them started shaking, her eyes darkened as she gently stood
Stepping on his sword on the floor It flew up and landed directly on her palm, she looked up, fighting back tears
Kalinda never cries
