THE HEALER
“My princess am a Royal healer, am sorry about your maid but I can’t heal her,” the healer said
Cassidy ordered the guards to bring Ren to her since she was a healer, and ever since they came the woman refuse to touch Ren, Cassidy has been pleading but the woman is afraid for her life
King Tyrone forbids slaves from getting any kind of treatment, they have to work till they die, and if anyone treats them, even the smallest wound. The person has exchanged his/her life with that of the slave
“Please, she’s dying from my brother’s brutal R@PE, she has lost so much blood already, you have to help me,” Cassidy pleaded
The healer shook her head negatively
“I understand that you want your maid to live but I have to follow the rules of your father, I will be beheaded if I…..”
“I’m commanding you to heal my handmaid or am telling my father that you refuse to do my bidding,” Cassidy suddenly cut in
“My princess…..” the healer tries to protest
“It’s an order,” Cassidy added and the woman close her eyes before looking at Ren
“I can’t,” she added with her head down
“You’re afraid of my father and you going against me also means that my father will send his merchant over to behead you, either way, your head will fall off, but I will give you my protection if you help my friend,” Cassidy added and the woman took in a deep breath
Cassidy was right, everyone knows that the king favors his daughter more and would do anything she asks of him even if it means wasting a whole community he will do it, the Healer looked at Ren again before taking her gaze to Cassidy
She slowly walked over to Ren whose body was already turning to white, she made to touch Ren but withdraws back and looked at Cassidy
“If anything happened to me after this, promise me that my children’s safety will be in her hands?” she said and Cassidy nodded
The woman closes her eyes fighting back tears, the consequences of her actions are something no one should think of.

HUNTER’S HOUSE
Hunter entered their house and his mother smiled, the smile vanish from her face immediately after she saw the look on Hunter’s face
She looked at the door expecting to see Kalinda but instead, Xavier came in
“Hunter, what happened?” Matilda asked confused
“they took her, I knew it… I know I was stupid and useless and an idiot and… and…”
“Hunter…. Hunter who took her?” his mother cut in, she didn’t seem to understand
“king Tyrone, we were attacked and you should have seen me mother, I didn’t know how or what happened but my whole body caught fire, I even fight….”
“The power of good and evil,” Matilda muttered with a sad face
Hunter looked at her and frowned
“What’s that? I heard someone say that,” he asked
“How did they take her? Magic doesn’t work on her, how did it happen?” Matilda asked ignoring his question
“Really?” Xavier couldn’t believe his ears, like how is it possible for Magic not to work on someone? aren’t she human??
“Her mother is a priestess, and Kalinda is the opposite, she was so stubborn and always going against the rules so her mother tried to protect her though they were never in good times, any magic you use on her will come back to you, ten times more. Rumor has it that her mother was the priestess of darkness cos her temple was covered with darkness,” Matilda replied
“Wait a minute….. I know of that priestess, it’s right here in my book,” Camilla’s voice came from the door
She has loads of books in her hand
“it says here that Priestess Habita is the only woman Cyprus, the supreme god of immortals is afraid of,” Camilla said and Xavier scoffed
“I think you have been reading a little too much this day,” Xavier said with seriousness
“I’m not lying, it says here that Cyprus, the supreme god of immortals was so afraid of her that he didn’t dare enter her temple,” Camilla replied pointing at the page
“Mother…. mother I’m talking about how to get my friend back not her mother, we just became friends and if you can’t help me am going to find her alone,” Hunter said meaning every word
“Hunter the king is not someone you can….”
“Mother please, what’s friendship all about if you can’t help each other? Am not myself anymore, it’s as if a part of me is missing, you have to help me,” Hunter cut in
Matilda was silent, what can she say? She is aware of the power inside Kalinda and it’s calling out to him, going over to King Tyrone means certain death.
“I know a shortcut, the cave,” Camilla said when Matilda didn’t say a word
“Are you crazy?” Xavier asked and she looked at him
“What? She’s my friend also and I know of any easy way…..”
“That’s not happening,” Xavier said and looked at Hunter
“Mother,” Hunter called staring at her
“Hunter, I know you might think you have magic but you don’t know how to use it, your powers worked last time because she was close, it might not work again, or maybe…..”
“I’m going to find her myself, close or not close just tell me anything I need to know, I believe you studied the prophecy,” Hunter suddenly snapped
Matilda went closer and gently touched her face, she caresses his face and kissed his forehead
“Is not that I don’t want you to help your newfound friend but King Tyrone is not someone you can fight, you don’t even have the crown, I love you, son…..”
“If you love me then help me save my friend, mother its as if a part of me is missing, my soul is pulling me out and I could hear the screams of horror inside my head, it calling for me, pleases mother help me,” Hunter said and Matilda looked away
“Promise me you will come back?” Matilda said, she didn’t know why but his words were getting to her
It’s destiny and she can’t stop it
“Let the gods decide my fate,” Hunter replied and Matilda nodded
“There is a cave at the north of the city, follow there and it will lead you inside his kingdom, don’t panic, don’t stare for so long, observe and do what others are doing, you can only get into the palace if you’re a royal servant and when you see Kalinda, speak to her in a commanding tone if she’s not dead……”
“huh,”
“yes, that way she will listen to you, reach out to the power inside her and redeem her soul if it has not been destroyed by the wicked witch of the north, the witch is so powerful so always avoid her, you can get to Kalinda quickly through Prince Tyrone, his a tyrant just like his father so be careful,” Matilda said and Hunter nodded walking out
“Hunter, please be save, when you get there find the healer and gave her this,” Matilda added and gave him a letter
“What’s this mother,” Hunter asked staring strangely at her
“she will know what to do once you give it to her, never forget to speak to Kalinda in a commanding tone, that’s the only way you can communicate with her,” she replied and Hunter nodded and left
Xavier followed him instantly, Camilla made to follow but a glare from Xavier glued her legs to the ground as she watched them leave
Xavier suddenly stopped and Camilla ran to him, getting close she crashed her lips on his, tears rolling down her eyes as the kissed, Xavier broke the kiss and cupped her face
“Do you really have to go?” she asked, Xavier, wipe her tears and kissed her gently again
“You said friendship is about sacrifices,” he replied and she burst out crying
”Don’t die,” Camilla hiccuped and he kissed her again
“Are you gonna marry someone else if I die?” Xavier asked and she sniffs
“I don’t wanna think about it, just don’t die cos I will kill you if you do,” she replied and he entrapped her lips into a deep kiss
“Can you guys make it quick? We don’t have much time left,” Hunter shouted and Xavier broke the kiss, he made to walk away but Camilla held him tightly
“Please come back to me,” she said with tears and he gently took his hand to her face
Xavier wipe her tears before pecking her forehead
“I will, I love you,”
“May the spirit be with you, both of you,” she added and finally let go of him

NIGHT* KING TYRONE’S KINGDOM ?
Viola entered the room where Kalinda was lying lifelessly and close the door behind her, she gently walked over to Kalinda and touched her forehead before touching her lips
“Even in your sleep, you still look pretty,” Viola muttered and lowered her head to her face
Just when she was about to kiss Kalinda she suddenly stopped and took her hand to Kalinda’s stomach, she started mumbling words and the wounds heals from the inside
The wound is still fresh on the outside
“I didn’t mean to trap you, but I serve the king, please don’t be mad,” Viola added, her hand caressing Kalinda’s lips
“I will get you out of here, alright?” she added and touched her other injury then she started making an incantation
Kalinda suddenly gasped but didn’t open her eyes, she just came back to life.
Viola’s face beamed with smiles as she lowered her head and kissed her gently then she pulled away, she looked at Kalinda’s face
“Sorry I can’t help it, am supposed to be your enemy, I should detest you more than anything in this world but I just can’t help it, the moment I saw you in that river everything changed,” Viola kissed her again, deeper than the first one
She pulled away after a few moments
“I will get you out of here, as soon as I can,” she added and turned around to walk out only to come vice-versa with king Tyrone who was staring at her
He has those dark bloody angry eyes, his tight face alone can murder somebody, he was looking all dangerous.
King Tyrone took a few steps forward and………
