“Let me go…. let me go!!” came a little boy voice
Hunter held him tightly on the ground
“And why should I let you go when you attacked me first?” Hunter asked
The little boy scoffed and rolled his eyes
“if I get up here, I will put my hand in your mouth and reach for your intestines, pulling it out from your mouth then I will turn you upside down and hang your butt on top of the highest tree before cutting out your tongue and feeding it to night birds then I will…..”
“Hunter let him go,” Kalinda cut in
Hunter let go of him and the boy dusted himself staring at hunter angrily
“you’re lucky she came for your rescue if not I would have dealt with you,” he said proudly
Hunter raises his brows
“You little thing,” Hunter muttered, a big frown on his face
“You call me little? You want me to show you what I can do?” He asked rudely
“What are you doing out here alone? by this time of the night,” Kalinda who has been silent asked
The boy looked at her and burst out laughing
“Look at this one, oh please stop acting as if you’re nice, I know people like you,” the boy replied rudely, he crossed his hand around his chest, tapping his feet against the floor, his face upward
Kalinda was silent
“Well, if you must know, I ran away from the person they sold me, they must be looking for me right now,” he replied rudely
“Sold you,” Hunter muttered
“Yes sold me to, you’re not deaf, or are you?” he answered rudely and scoffed
“He sold me too cheap that’s why I ran away, can’t believe that jackass will sell me for just five thousand gold pieces,” he added going over to a rock, he sat on it before turning to them
“Why will they sell you?” Hunter asked still surprised
“He’s a merchandise,” Kalinda replied calmly, she walked over to the boy and he squeeze his face at her
“I want blackberry sauce and soup,” the boy said, in a commanding tone
“I will make it,” Kalinda replied going over to their bags
“No, he will make it,” the boy replied pointing at Hunter
“What,” Hunter scoffed
“What,” he shouted mimicking Hunter
“You’re too big to make me a blackberry sauce and soup?” he asked rudely, he scoffed and rolled his eyes
“You must be kidding,” Hunter said and turn to Kalinda who was silent
“What if this boy is a trap, or a spy, or a…..”
“A killer that will kill you, now go make me a blackberry sauce with soup am starving,” the boy cut in, sticking out his tongue
Hunter looked at him before pulling Kalinda aside
“If you like drag her into the pit of h*ll, I will hear you, am a listener and a seer, and a priest so my mom said, and am also a healer, so you see, am very important that’s why everyone needs me and I bet you will want me now cos I just told you how useful I am, with me you don’t need to worry about anything and your journey finding the lost crown will be easier for you, but if you don’t hurry the tomb will be open and the crown will be gone even before you know it,” he said, all in one word
Hunter stopped and stared at him, Kalinda wasn’t left out, her gaze was fixed on the golden neckless around his neck, the boy trace her eyes and notice that she is staring at his neck
He quickly put it inside his clothes before staring at her
“Take your eyes off this, my mom gave it to me and many people have tried to take it away from me but it won’t just leave my neck, she said it protects me from evil eyes now go make me the blackberry sauce if you don’t want me to shout down this place and attract people,” he threatened
Kalinda swallowed nothing and went closer
“I will go make it,” she said and left
Hunter looked at the boy who walked over to him
“if you don’t do what I want, I will tell her the secret you’re hiding from her,” he threatened and Hunter looked at him sharply
“Am not hiding any secret from her,” he replied and the boy scoffed
He held Hunter’s clothes and he bent a little wondering what he was up to again
“How do you want me to tell her what you think of her when you look at her,” he asked, smirking
Hunter looked at him and frowned
“I don’t know what you’re talking about?” Hunter said
“How do you want me to shape my mouth and tell her that you wish you could just kiss those lips of hers right now, not just that but you also wish she could love you and forget about Cyprus and to say that you’re mad at her for taking Cyprus side and not yours, you also wish to hold her tight and make her the love of your life, and whenever you look at her just the way you’re looking at her right now, you can imagine your hand caressing her soft skin, thrilling down to her…..” Hunter quickly covered his mouth with his palms
“You little thing, How dare you read my mind,” he shouted and the boy smirked
“Blackberry sauce or am telling her,” the boy said, but it came as a whisper cos Hunter was still holding his mouth
He pushed Hunter away and looked at Kalinda
“I should just tell her,” he added and Hunter quickly pulled him back
“I will make it,” he shouted and the boy smirked and pat his back
“Good boy, make it quick am starving,” he shouted, he lay on the cold grass and raise his knees before crossing his legs

SAME NIGHT*
“Cassidy wait,” Ren shouted running after Cassidy
“She’s trying to get away,” Cassidy shouted, she increase her steps going after a night wisps
The night wisps came to her when they were resting, it kept making little noise as if trying to tell her something but she couldn’t hear it, it continue that way but she didn’t hear a thing so the night wisp flow away
Cassidy ran after it without a second thought and Ren went after her
“Look there is a fire,” Cassidy shouted, she looked back at Ren
Ren smiled immediately after she saw it, she took her gaze to the night wisp and it started bilking its light repeatedly
“There is a village over there,” Cassidy shouted again and ran forward
They continue running till they get to the gate, she made to cross but the soldiers at the door stopped them
“Where do you think you’re going to?” one of them asked staring at them with a big frown
“We just wanna spend the night here and tomorrow we will continue our journey, please don’t send us out,” Cassidy said with tears
“The border has close, you can’t cross,” another soldier said
“Please, it’s cold out here…”
“I said the border has close,” he snapped and she shifted backward
Cassidy went to Ren in tears, she hugged her tightly as tears run down her eyes
“It’s okay, I guess we were never gonna pass anyway,” Ren muttered and they turned
“Let them pass,” they heard a male voice from behind
“But sir…”
“It is an order,” Robin added, he stood there staring at them till the gate went open
Ren and Cassidy went in
“Thank you,” Ren said simply and he smiles sheepishly
“Why will two women wander around in the night?” Robin asked, trying to be a gentleman
“It’s a very long story,” Ren replied gently
“Come, I will take you to my mother, she’s in charge of this place,” he said walking way
Cassidy and Ren followed him, she suddenly looked up to see the night wisps in the sky, her face beamed with smiles instantly
“Thank you,” she muttered
