“YOU HAVE NO IDEA, DO YOU?” Cyprus snarled, grabbing hold of Hunter’s neck he flung him across the room
Hunter’s back landed on the wall and his crown fall off his head, he groans in pain and almost immediately Cyprus gripped his collar sending punching his face
“You have no idea what I could do to you, do you?” Cyprus roared, rage dripped like a puddle
Hunter blocked the other blow that came his way, returning the punch instantly, Cyprus looked at him with those bloody eyes, it was as if nothing happened to him, Hunter threw another punch his way but he blocked it also and gripped his hand squeezing it hard
“ARGH!!!!” Hunter let out a painful scream, he could hear the sound of his bone crack
Cyprus twisted his hand and pull, all his four right fingers fly out, blood oozing out instantly
“ARGH!!! ARGGGHHHH!!! Hunter screamed agonizingly
A sudden long kick landed on his tummy and the force carried him to the wall, Hunter vomited blood, lifting up his face he looked at Cyprus whose eyes were producing lightning
Hunter opened his arm and used the back of his left palm to wipe the blood stain on his mouth, using his black powder, he blow air on his palm and the black smoke covered everywhere
“You know nothing, I’m the beginning of magic, your black magic is useless to me,” Hunter heard his deep scary voice, he made to vanish but Cyprus was already holding his clothes
“Where are you running to?” he asked, gripping Hunter’s neck he pinned him in midair
“I…. can’t…. breath,” Hunter stuttered, slapping his hand against Cyprus’s strong arms
Cyprus looked back and a sword was lying next to Kalinda on the bed, opening his palm he invoked the sword and it landed right in his arm
“YOU SHALL DIE BY HER SWORD,” Cyprus reminded him of the prophecy as he stabbed him right in his stomach
“AHHHHH!!!” Hunter screamed out loudly as he felt the sword penetrating deep into him
Cyprus pushed in deeper and deep, pulling it out he pushed it back in again
“I would have loved to let her kill you herself but she has got a thing to do for me and can’t be stained with blood,” Cyprus roared, he left Hunter on the wall where he was stuck with the sword right in his tummy
“Baby,” he called, his eyes already returned to normal, without wasting another second he began to untie her, but that wasn’t enough for him cos it was as if he was wasting time so he used his magic to make the ropes to cut on their own
Kalinda hugged him instantly, her B@@bs pressing against his hard chest with tears rolling down her eyes, he hugged her tightly as she continues crying on his shoulder
“I wasted my life for nothing, how could he?” she hiccupped and sniffed
Cyprus looked at Camilla who was still tied up and just then the door opened, his clothes left his body as they appeared on Kalinda’s
“Camilla,” Xavier shouted going over to her, he stated untying her without delay
“What are you doing here?” Camilla asked confused
Xavier looked back and Viola entered, she has a light smile on her face
“you…..”
“You need to get out of here right now,” Viola cut in walking over to them
Cyprus waved his hand and they all vanished, just then countless guards burst into the room but everywhere was empty

A WEEK LATER *
CORONATION DAY*
Cassidy stood in front of the mirror as Ren dress her up in the royal attire, she looked sad with a big frown on her face
“My princess, in an hour you will become a queen you have to open up a little,” Ren said gently, picking up the comb on the stand she unbound Cassidy’s hair and begin to comb it gently
“I don’t want to be a queen, I just wanna get married and be like everyone else,” Cassidy said with tears
“No… no my princess you’re gonna ruin the makeup, don’t cry,” Ren said trying to consul her
Two maids walked into the room they slightly bowled, the first person dropped the basked in her hand which contains a lot of jewelry made of gold, and the other maid moved forward
“My princess, should I bring the royal crown?” she asked, her head down
“I thought it’s left for the elders to crown her,” Viola said coming in through the door
Cassidy and Ren looked at her
“I just wanna get married,” Cassidy started sobbing
“You may leave us,” Viola said to the maids and they left instantly
Ren made to follow but she called her back
“Not you,” Viola said and she stopped on her track
“Why can’t I just get married? Why can’t I just be like everyone else?” Cassidy asked staring at Viola, she sniffed
“You weren’t born like everyone else, you’re different and special, you are born of royal blood and it’s your duty is to protect your father’s legacy I didn’t say his evil ways, but if you don’t want to you can denounce yourself of the royal blood and the people will choose another leader but……”
“ Okay, take it, I don’t want to be a queen, I don’t want to wear all these heavy things walking around and seeing people, I just wanna get married, take it and give it to someone else,” She cut in sharply
Viola sighed and shook her head
“it doesn’t work that way, however….”
“I will marry her,” Jefferson’s voice came from the door
“My princess, will you marry me?” he added walking over to them
Ren looked back at him
“Jefferson you don’t…..”
“Yes!!! I will marry you,” Cassidy didn’t let Ren finish before cutting in
Everyone looked at her
“We are friends and we could get married right? I will marry him and it’s final, you love me right?” Cassidy asked and Jefferson went closer
“More than a written word, have always wanted to tell you but I was afraid it might affect our friendship I can’t hold it anymore and I can’t let you get married to someone else either,” he replied, pulling her off her chair they both stared at each other’s eyes before leaning over for a kiss

GODDESS OF CHILDBIRTH*
Cyprus walked into his mother’s home with Kalinda beside him, he has no other choice than to tell her the things his mother said and she insisted on seeing his mother, they walked in and the goddess of childbirth who was doing something only she can tell didn’t even bother to look up as she knows who it was
“ Have you given up your immortality already?” she asked, her face down as she focus on what she was doing
“No mother, but someone would love to see you,” Cyprus replied and the goddess dropped the thing in her hand
“A human, you brought a human here?” she asked in a harsh voice
Kalinda looked at Cyprus and he held her hand, she was aware of how much the immortals h@tëd her just because she was not one of them but she didn’t care cos Cyprus loves her that’s the most important thing
“My father was also human and he lived here with you,” Cyprus replied, his mother calmed down a little as she swallowed nothing
“What do you want?” she asked staring from Cyprus to Kalinda
“We came to apologize for the things he did to you, it’s okay if you have made up your mind not to give us a child but…..”
“I never said I will not give you a child, let him give up his immortality and you will have what you need,” the goddess cut in
“It will be hard for him to survive in the human world without his powers, I know what he did to you was very bad of him but he is still your son and he acted out of ignorance, it’s okay if you close the door for us but I already lost one which is my son, I’m not going to lose two, we are sorry for your loss, I greatly apologize for all the tears he made you shade and if I could take it then I will do it, we didn’t come for you to open the door for him but I came to see that woman he was too ashamed to show his face to cos he was disappointed at himself, am sorry and also am sorry on his behalf,” Kalinda said calmly, tears lingering at the corner of her eyes, turning around she faces Cyprus
“Let’s go,” she mumbled, he held her hand and looked at his mother
“Am sorry mother, for the pain and heartbreak, am really sorry,” he apologized softly, his voice wasn’t clear as always cos it was as if he wanted to break down
The goddess of childbirth was already in tears, watching them leave without saying a word
“Wait!!!” she suddenly shouted and they stopped looking back at her
“Did they tell you that your fate has been rewritten?” she asked and Kalinda’s eye widened, she looked at Cyprus
“why didn’t you tell her?” she asked
“I was going to when we get home,” he replied calmly
A minute passed
“I like you, lady, you’re lucky Cyprus, I will do my job but that doesn’t mean I have forgotten what you did to me,” she said and Kalinda’s face lit up
She let go of Cyprus running over to her, getting close Kalinda made to hug her but she shifted backward
“not allow….” Kalinda didn’t let her finish before jumping on her, they nearly fall but Cyprus was already beside them, he caught his mother before she could fall and Kalinda didn’t let go of her
She hugged her tightly, and the only thing she could see was her own mother, how her mother wanted to build a friendship with her but she was too stubborn to even give her a minute of peace, remembering when her mother told her that she was sorry for being her mother, Kalinda broke into tears
she never had a good moment with her till the day she died and on her dying bed she told her that she was sorry to be her mother, that she tried to change her fate and did everything they asked her to do which was why they said only Kalinda can rewrite her own fate but they didn’t tell her why
“Are you gonna let those tears run down your beautiful face?”
