A sudden silence suddenly ensued between them, with Melanie staring at Axel with her mouth agape. She wasn’t expecting him to say those words, not in the presence of her parents.
Mrs. Brown stared at Axel for a while before smiling broadly.
“Just what I needed to here. Let’s have our lunch, the food is getting cold,” she walked away
Mr. Brown stared at Axel with a smile playing on his lips
“I believe you won’t hurt my daughter. She’s the only one I have and I h@të seeing her in pain, I’m pretty sure you know how fragile she is” he raised a brow.
“Yes,” Axel chuckled.
“Good. Didn’t hurt her please,” Mr. Brown said.
“I won’t, Dad,” Axel assured.
Mr. Brown walked away and Axel released the breath he never knew he was holding.
“You’re right, your Dad is cool” he stared at Melanie who had an emotional look on her face.
“What? Did I say something wrong?” He asked in a panic tone.
“You jerk! Do you have to be so sweet?” Melanie sniffed gently.
“Wait… Is my baby getting emotional right now?” Axel wiggled a brow teasingly at her.
Melanie hit his arm and he laughed loudly before gathering her in his arms. Thankfully, her parents were not present.
“I just want your parents to know how much I love you, mine.” He said.
“I love you too,” Melanie smiled.
Mrs. Brown who appeared to be returning from her room since she went to change saw the scene and a happy smile left her lips.
What else does she wish for, if not for her daughter’s happiness??

“Do you wanna go somewhere?” Ace asked Paisley who was still in his arms. Her tears had subdued but she stayed quiet in his arms.
“No,” she muttered in a hoarse voice. She moved out of his arms and sniffed, cleaning her face with her hand.
“You should get going,” she muttered, turning to leave
“Am I… Forgiven?” Ace asked which made her halt
“I know I’m not worthy of your forgiveness, but please… Forgive me for I was senseless” he said
Without saying a word, Paisley went into the house leaving Ace wallowing in sadness.
He ruffled his hair roughly before letting out a groan. Winning her heart back isn’t surely gonna be easy but he was ready to do it.
No matter how long it takes, he would never give up on her because he’s grown to love her.

TWO WEEKS LATER***
If one could ever tell Melanie that she wouldn’t be seeing the love of her life in two days time, she’d have perfectly denied that. But then, life isn’t so predictable at times.
“Lanie?” Lauren’s voice broke Melanie out of her thoughts.
Melanie quickly cleaned the tears off her face but it was too late, Lauren saw it all.
“Are you crying?” Lauren asked softly.
Melanie broke down into tears, her body shaking badly as she cried
“I thought I’ll be fine, but I was wrong. I don’t want him to leave, I can’t take it,” she sobbed.
“In just two days, I won’t be able to see him for three years. I won’t be able to feel his touch, I won’t be able to taste his lips, I won’t be able to…” She choked on her tears as her tears fell torrentially.
“Lanie,” Lauren whispered, tears br!m-mln at the corner of her eyes.
“I can’t do without him, Lauren. He’ll be leaving soon and I’m going to be alone, I can’t…” Melanie continued crying.
Lauren pulled Melanie’s head to her shoulder and squeezed her shoulder tightly.
“It’s gonna be fine, bestie. Three years is long, but it’ll be over soon” she said.
“And right now, you should be by his side, I’m sure he’s having a hard time also,” Lauren said.
Melanie raised her head from her shoulder to stare at her.
“Poor you,” Lauren pouts, cupping Melanie’s cheek in her hands. She started wiping her tears slowly.
“It’s gonna be fine, huh? Right now, Axel needs you more than ever, be there for him,” she whispered.
Melanie sniffed gently before getting to her feet. She carried her handbag and arranged her hair before looking at Lauren.
“Thanks Lauren, you’re right. I shouldn’t be doing this, I should support him now more than ever,” she smiled.
Lauren smiled happily.
“That’s the spirit babe. Go girl, we’re solidly behind you,” She winked.
Melanie smiled before rushing out of the room. Paisley, who happened to be coming out of the kitchen, saw her and raised a brow. They were currently at Lauren’s house.
“Where’s Annie rushing to?” Paisley asked Lauren who was just coming out of the room
“To Axel’s. Gosh, I really can’t believe he’ll be leaving in two days,” Lauren sighed.
“They need to stay beside each other now, I know it’s not going to work at least…” Paisley mumbled.
There was a sudden knock on the door and it opened almost immediately, revealing Aaron.
“Did you miss me, baby?” He winked.
Lauren rolled her eyes before folding her arms across her chest.
“No!” She shot.
Aaron grinned before moving closer to her, he held her waist and Lauren smiled secretly. They started dating just a week ago as Aaron wouldn’t stop pestering her.
After the kiss they shared, Lauren discovered the hidden love she had for him and she agreed to date him since he wouldn’t stop stalking her.
“That smiles tells the truth,” Aaron said
“Get lost,” Lauren hit his chest and he quickly placed a short kiss on her lips.
“Can’t believe you’re trying to oppress me here” Paisley shook her head and went to the room
Lauren giggled before staring at Aaron.
“I missed you, jerk,” she said.
“I love you more,” Aaron said and captured her lips instantly.

MELANIE’S APARTMENT***
Realizing Axel wasn’t home, Melanie quickly had a quick shower and dressed into a short silky gown. The gown was transparent, making every part of her body revealing.
She heaved a deep sigh as she stared at herself in the mirror. Her wet hair was clinging to her face stubbornly as she just had a shower, giving her a seductive look.
She was still staring at herself when she heard the sound of the door opening, signifying Axel was home.
Her heart almost leaped out of her chest as she suddenly became anxious. She sighed for the last time before going out of her room.
Axel was about going to his room when she came out of hers. He was shocked to see her as she told him earlier that she’d be staying at Lauren’s place.
But then, that wasn’t his main concern… Her dressing was so tempting as he could see her perky B@@bs, standing proudly.
Melanie started by walking to the living room, swaying her hips sëxily. Axel’s eyes followed her every move and he didn’t know when he started following her behind.
“What are you doing?” He asked.
Melanie turned to him and pushed him to a couch immediately, she straddled him and being the bad boy he was, his hand went to her a*s, feeling the soft flesh.
“You once asked me what number ten of the bucket list entails,” she whispered softly.
“Yea. I’ve fulfilled the others except for the last. What is it?” Axel asked, touching her wet hair slowly.
“Let’s make love,” she whispered again and his eyes widened.
Holy moly!!
She started moving on his thighs, grinding her butt on his d_1ck.
“Make love to me, Axel,” she whispered again.
“Füçk!” That was it. Axel lost his control and his mouth connected with hers immediately, squeezing her a*s like somethings he owns.
Melanie released a Mõ@n immediately, getting lost in his peppermint taste. Her hand went to his chest and she started caressing it, causing Axel to groan into her lips.
It’s just two days left, the least she could do was to feel him before he leaves. That way, the scene would be engraved in her mind.
“For starving me, I won’t go gently on you,” Axel said in a husky voice, grabbing a hold of her B@@bs.
