Melody restaurant!!
She got their and they welcome her with the unwashed dishes…
She got her apron and begin to clean them immediately.
She finished and rinsed her hand as she wipe it with a towel.
She turn around and bump into Rana.
“Hey Rana you scared me” she said and breath heavily.
“Sorry…you should get along with that am a freaking friend” Rana said and stuck out her tongue…
“So how is school?“ Joelle asked and arranged some food in the tray.
“I didn’t go today…something came up but guess what” she squeaked.
“What? Am not good at guessing“
“they start a scholarship at busy brains” she jibbed and Joelle smiled.
“Have heard that already” she smiled and rana frowned playfully.
“Who is the cricket that spoiled my surprises?…she pouted and brought out her phone.
“Well not all my surprises can be ruined” she giggled and showed Jojo the the write up on the screen.
“Congratulations Joelle mavis you have successfully registered for the scholarship” Joelle read out loud and her jaw dropped.
Her eyes looking glassy.
“Rana…what will I do without you’ she cried and hugged rana to her self.
Rana is her best friend…they bump into each other in the streets….and thing went on smoothly from there.
Rana is from a middle class family but she don’t act like one…she is the only child of her family yet she insist on working at melody restaurant.
Her parent had to give in to her before she go sick due to her cries.
“Sorry I registered the name with my dad name… Since your aunt didn’t want to tell you your dad’s name…nor allow you use her husband name” rana said and Joelle smiled sadly.
“Hey…joelle hurry now and go serve two of our VIP customer” madam Ana said as she walk in.
Joelle and rana quickly swing into action.
“They wants spaghetti meat balls and straw berry fresh drained juice” she said
She hand the spaghetti meat balls to rana and asked Joelle to get the strawberries juice ready.
Joelle blend the strawberry and drained the juice out of it.
She arranged it in a tray and walk out too.
Heading to the direction of the table given to her ..she decided to steal a glance at the so called VIP she is about serving.
Her mouth dropped as her long lashes blink on their own…
A cute guy and a cute lady.
They look so perfect…for a young couple.
She stumble on her feet and the drink poured on the cute guy who’s eyes had been glued to his phone all this while.
She gasped in fright.
“Am sorry sir” she said and bowed lightly.
Raising her head from the bow to see the expression of the guy..she received a deafening slap from the cute lady.
“How dare you poor thing” Melissa scold and slapped her again.
Tears run down joelle cheeks immediately.
Melissa raised her hand to slap her again but Sam stopped her..
And jolle thought he is about saving he from the crazy lady not kniwng he is about doing the worst.
“Let me take my vengeance my self” he said and pick the bowl of spaghetti meat balls and poured it on her.
A wide wicked grin plastered in Melissa’s face immediately.
But the grin didn’t last long as a blinding slap landed on her face.
“You don’t maltreat my loved when am around” rana muttered and add another slap to her cheeks.
And the people at the restaurant gasped.
