“I want this necklace” Miranda said, checking out the necklace.
She came shopping with Stacey.
“Wow!! it’s beautiful” Stacey smiled.
“Check this one out” Stacey said and took another necklace.
It was designed with a heart pendant, a diamond necklace.
“You like it?” Miranda asked.
“Yes”.
“You can have it”.
“Thank you Mira” Stacey said and pecked her.
“Issh get away” Miranda said and Stacey giggled.
“Hey ladies” A masculine voice said behind them and they looked back to see Clinton. He was dressed richly and his handsomeness was glaring.
“Oh my!!!” Stacey muttered inaudibly.
Miranda just rolled eyes.
“Hi” Stacey said.
“You again?” Miranda asked.
Stacey looked at her wondering if she knew him already.
“I never thought of seeing you here” He smiled.
“What are you doing here anyway?”.
“Same thing you came for” He replied.
“Are you ready to tell me your name now or am I still a stranger?”.
“Yes” She snapped.
Stacey tapped Miranda, getting her attention.
Stacey gave her a look which means ” Stop acting hard to get”. Miranda then rolled eyes at her.
“Come on”.
“Okay my name is Miranda Lambert” She said.
“Clinton, I still remember your name” She said like she read his mind.
Clinton smiled.
“Can I have your number, I want us to be friends?”.
“I don’t..
Stacey tapped her again.
“Okay, fine, your phone” She said.
Clinton gave her his phone, she typed her number and returned the phone back to him.
“Thank you, I will give you a call, bye ” Clinton said and smiled at her before leaving.
Stacey smiled and turned to see her glaring at her.
“What!, can’t you see the handsome guy likes you, come on stop acting hard to get, get a boyfriend already” Stacey said.

VICTORIA’S PLACE**
Victoria was about to go to bed when a knock gently came on her door.
“Who’s that?” She asked and moved to the door.
She opened the door and came face to face with Adams.
“Adams” She called and made to close back the door but he prevented it by placing his leg on the door.
“What do you want?”.
“I want us to talk please” He softly uttered.
“Talk about what?”.
“Please just this once, I won’t disturb you again” He replied.
Victoria stared at him for a while before moving away from the door.
He went in and they stood, staring at each other, Victoria was practically avoiding his eyes cos her heart was beginning to act crazy again.
Silence took over for a while before Adams started.
“I’m sorry for kissing you without your consent, it was stupid of me to do that, I was out of my senses but the truth of it all is, I never regretted kissing you, I was happy I kissed you” He said and she looked at him without saying anything.
“The only thing I regretted was when you started avoiding me, it was hell for me knowing I’m the reason for it, I am sorry, please forgive me, I don’t know how it happened but I found myself falling deeply for you, I am in love with you, I can’t keep hiding it, it’s killing me already” He confessed and her eyes widened, she froze on her spot.
“I know you don’t love me even if it’s a bit tiny, you don’t like me even a little bit?” He asked.
“I….”.
“I know your answer, I expected it to happen this way but I will be free now, confessing my feelings but please don’t let this break our friendship, let’s still be friends, I will try my best to get rid of my feelings for you, I will delete my feelings for you” He said and started walking away, tears break free and started coming out.
It was hard but he had to do it.
“Don’t you dare get rid of your feelings for me, don’t you dare delete your feelings for me, don’t” Her voice stopped him.
He turned back.
She moved till she got to him, she was in tears already.
“I can’t do it anymore Adams, I promised myself never to fall in love again after the death of my husband. For the past weeks, I thought avoiding you will make me forget about you but I was wrong, rather I couldn’t stop thinking about you. I kept hurting myself, you’re the first man my heart will beat for after my husband’s death” She said, her tears rolling down her cheeks.
Adams stared at her speechlessly.
“I’m sorry for avoiding you, I was just acting stupid, sorry for hurting your feelings, I like you” She said and his face brightened up.
“You do?” He asked.
“Yes I do and I wanna give love another chance”.
Adams was smiling slowly.
“Don’t delete your feelings for me, keep loving me and I promise to reciprocate your feelings” She said.
Adams was swinging in the pool of emotions, he was so happy to the extent that he became temporarily speechless, he stared lovingly at her.
“Hey why are you not talking?” She frowned.
“I…”.
Victoria leaned in and placed her lips on him. Adams responded like a burning fuel, pulling her body closer to him.
She melted in his arms as a soft Mõ@n escaped her lips.
