⟨ GOING TO THE PALACE ⟩
Tatiana was still running and looking behind her to see if her Aunt asked her workers to go after her, when she bumped into a body and both fell to the ground.
“I’m sorry mister” Tatiana said, She quickly stood up from his body, bowing her head.
“Is fine. Are you all right?” He asked and that made Tatiana looks at him and she could tell from his expensive robe and Jade hat that he must be from a rich Noble family.
“Yes…. I’m fine” She stuttered bowing her head.
“I’m glad you are okay. But why is a beautiful lady like you running? Did you by chance steal from someone?”
“No I didn’t” Tatiana defended herself looking at him straight in the eye and he smiles.
“I know. I just wanted you to look at me because you keep avoiding my gaze” He said still smiling.
“You’re from a rich breed and a poor breed like me can’t look at you closely” Tatiana said and he smiled again.
“Maelstrom still have their rules of not letting the poor breed have a say, is totally unfair” He said. Tatiana looks at him but didn’t utter a word.
“I’m Waylon and you are?” Waylon asked admiring her beautiful face.
“Tatiana” She answers.
“You have such a wonderful name Tiana” He said.
“Just call me Tatiana” She said.
“Is there something wrong if I call you Tiana? Is part of your name, is just the short abbreviation of it”
*Tatiana is way to long, I’ll just call you Tiana* Cheng’s voice from 10 years ago echoes in her ears.
“There is a special person who is only entitled to call me Tiana” Tatiana said.
“Who could that person be?” Waylon ask curiously.
Tatiana was about saying something when she spotted her Aunt’s workers looking for her and she sighs frustratedly.
“I knew she was going to send her workers in search of me” She muffed.
“Huh?” Waylon muttered.
“Please I need your help and I promise to pay you back if we met again”.
“What do you want?”
“Do you see those men behind you?” She asked, Waylon tries to look behind him, but Tatiana held his hand.
“Don’t make it so obvious” She said in a whisper.
“Who are they?” Waylon whisper back.
“They work for my Aunt and they came in search of me because I ran away from my marriage”.
“You ran away from your marriage?”
“I have my reasons. So you should help me” Tatiana said looking at Manisha’s workers that were patrolling around, looking for her and one of them sees her.
“There she is!!!!” He shouted.
“Help me okay. I promise to pay you back, I’ll grant you your wish the next time we see” Tatiana said and took to her heels.
Waylon turns behind him and sees Manisha’s workers coming towards him inorder to caught up with Tatiana who was still running.
He took a long stick that was closed to him and hits their heads with it. And the five of time falls to the ground groaning in pains.
“Sorry I was just helping out” He said. His eyes search for Tatiana and he could see her from a far distance running, with her white robe and long har flying in the air.
“She’s beautiful” Waylon muttered and smiles.

⟨ THE PALACE OF MAELSTROM ⟩
In the corner of the huge palace, Thiago is seen flirting with a maid. No doubt he grew up into a big time womanizer. He always flirts with woman and always go to the brothel despite being betrothed to Supriya.
Supriya is a princess from another kingdom and because she’s betrothed to Thiago, she’s staying in the palace of Maelstrom with the rest of them. No doubt loves Thiago a lot, but it’s obvious that Thiago only betrothed to her because of his willingness to become the next king of Maelstrom.
“You’re beautiful, Do you know that?” Thiago said and the maid blushed.
“Really? Then what about Princess Supriya?” The maid asked.
“She’s beautiful, but you’re more beautiful” He said drawing his face closer to her lips.
“Thiago!!!!” Came Supriya’s voice and Thiago quickly separated from the maid.
Supriya walks up to the maid and rather than dealing with Thiago, she landed a slap on the maid’s face.
“The next time you come anywhere close to my husband to be again, slapping you won’t be what you are going to receive, but death, understand?” She said with indignation.
The maid fell on hee knees. “It won’t ever happened again Princess Supriya” The maid said bowing her head to the floor.
“Well it better not repeat itself, Cuz I won’t mind sending you to the afterlife, now get lost!!!!” Supriya yells at her.
The maid stood up to her feet and quickly leaves. Supriya faced Thiago with rage of anger.
“What?” He asked.
“Is that the only thing you can say after I almost caught you kissing her!!” Supriya shouted at him.
“I was just talking to her Supriya, not kissing her” Thiago said.
“Fine then. Since you are fond of always talking to the maids maybe I should just talk to the king and tell him I’m having our marriage annulled” Supriya said and tries to leave, but Thiago held her.
“Why are you overreacting?” He said in a sweet voice trying to woe her. Supriya is the key for him to become king and he can’t just let it slip off from his head.
“And why shouldn’t I overreact Thiago? You’re always flirting with the palace maids. Do you even know how embarrassing it is for my husband to be, talking to poor breeds like them? I’m always filled with so much anger anytime I see you with not just the palace maids but girls from the brothel” Supriya said.
Thiago pulls her closer, wrapping his hands around her waist.
“Is never going to happen again” He said.
“This will be the hundred and one times you will be saying that Thiago. You never keep to your promise. Am I not enough for you?” She asked.
“Of course you are Supriya and the most prettiest lady I have seen” Thiago said and Supriya smiles, falling for his tricks
Thiago always have a way of swaying her and Supriya being blinded by her love for Thiago always fall for his tricks.
“Fine. I’m not going to the king anymore” She said.
“Thank you Supriya” Thiago said and planted a soft kiss on her lips.
“Your mother wants to see you” She said.
“My mother?” He asked.
“Yes. She is with the king right now and she wants to see you in the king’s chamber” Supriya said.
“Alright then. I will just go to her” He said.
“I’ll be waiting for you in your room” She said and kissed him before leaving.
Thiago looks at her and sn!gg@$ before going to the king’s chamber and on arriving there he bowed to the king.
“Greetings Father” He said and King Osvaldo only nods his head.
“So why do you want to talk to me?” King Osvaldo asked directing the question to Queen Anjali.
Queen Anjali smiles and said.
“Since Thiago is here, I’ll go straight to the point. Is your Twenty three years of reign after you became king and no doubt the kingdom has been peaceful and has never encountered any form of drought since you became king” Queen Anjali said.
“And what are you trying to insinuate?” King Osvaldo asked.
“What I’m trying to say is, the same will apply to Thiago once you step down as King and allow him become the new crown King” Queen Anjali said and Thiago smile.
“Are you wishing me to be ill?” King Osvaldo asked.
“Of course not my King”.
“Then why’re you asking me to step down as king when I’m still strong as a horse?” King Osvaldo asked and Thiago frowned his face.
“But I thought you asking him to get betrothed to princess Supriya means you want to crown him as the new king of Maelstrom” Queen Anjali said.
“It was to stop him from flirting, but he just became worst. Tell me Anjali what kind of King flirts with the palace maids and goes to the brothel? If you asked me I’ll say it’s a useless king”.
“Father!”
“I won’t have you insult my son. He’s the first prince of Maelstrom and needs to be respected!!” Queen Anjali shouted.
“Respect is only giving to those that wants to be respected” King Osvaldo said and Queen Anjali chuckles angrily.
“Are you doing this because you want to handle the kingship to your beloved son Waylon? Or maybe your demonic son, Cheng?”.
But King Osvaldo didn’t say a word to her.
“My son is the first prince of this kingdom and I won’t sit and watch Vanya’s son or even that demonic child that has been separated from us become King. If you don’t want war in this palace, do the right thing” Queen Anjali said and bows before leaving with Thiago.
King Osvaldo only sighs.
