{WEDDING VENUE}
Nathan is already at the alter waiting anxiously for his bride, the big hall of Chicago was crowded with only the rich, ambassadors from different cities and countries came, ministers were invited and business tycoons were not left out
It was a classy wedding and once you step in you will know that money is the only thing speaking there, classy ladies and men that deal with money were present
Everywhere was filled with billionaires who came to witness the wedding ceremony of the Brooks family, one of the richest families in town, and the Greenwood family another rich family in town
The big door opened and Dr. Greenwood came into view, beside him was his daughter Danica in her wedding gown, looking all gorgeous
Everyone stood on their feet to welcome the bride
She stunning that Nathan find it hard to close his mouth, he was lost staring at her, she was just perfect, so beautiful like the morning sun
“d@mn,” Donovan said out loud, he didn’t know when the word left his mouth, like mehn!! she was Fůçƙing charming
Danica and her father walked down the aisle, she could feel many gazes on her but she didn’t bother much, her eyes met with that of Nathan but she looked away

Nathan and Danica stood facing each other with the Notary in front of them
“Does anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace,” The Notary said, staring at the crowd
Everywhere was silent
“Last chance for you to declare any objections, else, remain silent forever,” he added, his eyes scanned the whole crowd and they everywhere were silent.

“Dear beloved, we are gathered here today this evening to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony,” The Notary said, taking his gaze to Nathan and Danica
“Your name?”
“Nathan Brooks,” Nathan replied sharply, he couldn’t wait to eat her up, she was just too pretty
Nathan won’t stop stealing glace at Danica from time to time
“Do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony? To love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?” he asked, staring at Nathan
Nathan looked back and his father Mr. Brooks smiled at him, he could feel the whole crowd gaze at him, taking his gaze to Danica he smiled lightly and nodded
“I do,”
The Notary looked at Danica
“Your name,”
“Danica Greenwood,” she hesitates before replying
“Do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?” Notary asked staring at her
Danica was silent
Everyone exchanged glances, she looked at her mother who was nodding for her to accept her marriage vow, taking her gaze to Nathan she could hear his heartbeat, his hand shaking, it was as if he wanted to say something but she was the only one meant to talk at that moment
“I’m sorry Nathan,” she mumbled and looked at the Notary
“No,” she replied, her eyes already clouded with tears
Everyone gasped in shock

Mr & Mrs. Greenwood stood on their feet shocked also
“Danica,” Nathan called more in a whisper
“I’m sorry I love someone else,” she replied, her head turning around as she scanned through the crowd, her eyes landed on Donovan who was not far from them
Lifting her gown she started going toward him
“Baby, I’m sorry I have to tell them, it’s you that I love not him please don’t keep quiet and allow me to marry him,” she said, tears rolling down her cheeks
“Look we gonna have a baby,” she added and took his hand, placing it on her flat tummy
Donovan withdraws his hand from hers, he looked confused, he don’t even know this girl then why is she accusing him? He could see the disappointed look on Nathans’s face, the crowd was all staring at him
Everyone started murmuring
“Baby, you said you loved me, right? You told me that I mean the whole world to you, you said we could run away and be together with our baby, I know he’s your friend that’s why you’re his best man but we love each other and we are gonna have a baby,” she added trying to hug him
Donovan pushed her away lightly, both parents were already beside them and Danica’s father caught her before she could fall, followed by a sudden slap from Mrs. Greenwood
“How dare you push my daughter away after putting her in a family way? Do you know how hard it is to carry a child?” she snarled angrily
Donovan gently touched his burning cheek, he looked at the woman who just slapped him and gulped nothing
“What are you talking about?” he asked confused, trying so hard to keep his cool but he was losing it
“baby I love you very much, I can’t marry another man while carrying your child, our baby, you were happy last night when I told you about it but when you remember the wedding your expression changed, you said if I could tell them that we are in love that you would come clean, baby please don’t let me marry him, it’s you that I love,” she added, tears streaming down her eyes, she sniffed and continues crying
“How dare you betray my son?” Mr. Brooks thundered in his deep scary voice
Nathan couldn’t find his voice, he couldn’t even process what was happening, his best friend got his woman pregnant, he was going insane

“You’ll marry her…” Mr. Greenwood was still saying but that was interrupted by Donovan
“I will not marry your daughter!” Donovan cut in sharply
“I said it, I have always known that he is nothing but a loser, look at him,” Mr. Winfrey shouted, standing on his feet
“It’s not me,” Donovan shouted, he was trying so hard for them to understand him but no one was even looking at him
“Shut up!! you’ve always brought nothing but disgrace to my family, just look at him. he is not even man enough to stand up for his own responsibility, just look at the person that calls himself a man already willing to let his friend marry his lover with his very own unborn child, shame unto you,” Mr. Winfrey shouted, pushing his palms on Donovan’s face
“I can take care of my responsibilities and believe me when I say I know nothing about this child and I don’t even know this lady,” Donovan said sincerely, wishing that someone could just believe him
Mr. Winfrey scoffed
“Story that touches the heart, oh, am so touched,” he mumbled, placing his hand on his chest
“Young man, are you saying you’re not the one that put my daughter in a family way….” Mr. Winfrey didn’t let Mr. Greenwood finish before cutting in
“It’s him, hold him tight, he’s a very good lier, a thief, a prodigal son, he is capable of denying himself, hold him!” Mr. Winfrey shouted cutting in
“Mom, I’m sorry,” Danica hiccupped still in tears, hugging her mother tightly
Alex on the other hand, was more than shocked, she knew Danica wasn’t pregnant but why she is pulling this stunt is what she can’t explain so she just kept quiet and watch
The paparazzi covered the whole place all thanks to the guards at the door
“If it was David I would say David will never try such, I know my son, but this one! This rascal, it’s him, I know him more than anyone else, hold him tight,” Mr. Winfrey added pacing around
“Mom, did you think I did this mess?” Donovan asked staring at his mother, he has that pitiful look on his face wishing she could just say know
“It’s not a mess son, it’s a baby, your baby, and my grandchild,” she replied gently

“Mom!!!” Donovan yelled, he nearly cried out
“It’s a baby honey, I believe you but it’s a baby,” she added softly, going over to him, she made to touch him but he moved backward
“Why can’t anyone just believe me? Why am I always being accused? I don’t know this lady,” Donovan shouted sadly, tears fighting their way out of his eyes but he was fighting back
“That’s because you’re a loser, thief, look at the pretty lady that opened her legs for you to shoot your shot, and at the end, you deny her in the presence of millions of people, do you have any idea who many people that are watching this?” Mr. Winfrey yelled at him
Donovan looked behind to see Nathan
“Buddy….”
“I’m not your buddy you punk,” Nathan yelled with a punch
Donovan staggered back and another punch landed on his face bursting his lips
touching his bleeding lips Nathan punched him again but he blocked it with his fist and returned the punch
“I said I didn’t do it, why are am I always being accused!!!!” He yelled loudly, Giving Nathan an uppercut which sent him flying up
Nathan fall heavily and everything went black
