“Jeremy” Freddie called, his shock reflecting in his eyes.
“Your phone” Jeremy muttered, stretching the phone to Freddie but his mind wasn’t there.
“Jeremy” He called happily and hugged him but immediately Jeremy pushed him away.
“Who are you?” He asked blankly.
“Jeremy, stop joking” Freddie said and hugged him again but this time he pushed him away violently.
“Do you know me, why are you hugging me, who are you?” He yelled and tears trickled down Freddie’s cheeks.
It hurts that his own friend is claiming not to know him.
Is he pretending not to know him or what? How can Jeremy say he didn’t know who he is?.
“Jeremy….
“My name is not Jeremy, please stay away from me” Jeremy said.
“Jeremy it’s me, Freddie” Freddie said and Jeremy looked at him as the name rang in his head immediately.
“Freddie” He muttered, getting a feeling like he had heard of that name before.
He scrutinized his face and just suddenly Mandy’s voice echoed in his head.
“Don’t step out of this house ever, cos your enemies are everywhere, don’t let them see your face”.
“Sh|t” Jeremy muttered, he turned and started running away.
“Jeremy!!” Freddie called him and started running after him.
Jeremy kept running till he got to the gate he opened the gate and went in, he was about to close the gate back when Freddie entered with him.
“Jeremy…
“You were sent to kill me like you tried before right?” Jeremy asked.
“What are you talking about, I’m your friend, have you perhaps lost your memory?” Freddie said.
“Stay away, I don’t you, get out now” Jeremy thundered.
“I’m not leaving here without taking you home” Freddie said and moved to Jeremy but immediately Jeremy punched him and his eyes widened madly.
This will be the first time Jeremy will ever raise his hand on him.
Freddie looked at Jeremy who began to imagine him as a killer, his hatred glaring visibly in his eyes.
“He lost his memory” Freddie muttered sadly.
Jeremy turned and started running to the house but Freddie followed him.
He grabbed Jeremy from behind.
“Jeremy, what is wrong with you? ” He yelled and Jeremy started trying to free himself.
“Leave me, why are you people against me?” Jeremy yelled.
“What people are you talking about? everyone is waiting for you at home, the whole of Mexico is waiting for you, your fans, your customers, your girlfriend Mõ@nna”.
Immediately Freddie mentioned Mõ@nna’s name, Jeremy’s body softened in his hands like magic.
“Mõ@nna” he muttered.
“Yes Mõ@nna, your girlfriend, you need to remember Jeremy please” Freddie said and started crying.
“You know her?” Jeremy asked.
The name sounds familiar, he heard the name the very day he came back from the hospital and he could remember the voices he was hearing.
Could it be that he knows the lady?.
Immediately Jeremy started getting the sparks again and his head started hurting.

Freddie!!
“Ahhh” He groaned and held his head.
“I’m hearing voices in my head” Jeremy said.
“Yummy restaurant” Freddie said.
“You need to remember Jeremy please”.
“Ahhhhh!!!”.

“Gosh, ahhh, my head, Ahhhh”.
Freddie took out his phone and clicked on the picture of Mõ@nna and showed him.
“Look at her, don’t you know her?”.
“Please…. take the picture away, I’m in pain” He said as his head hurt badly.
He started seeing the blur visions again.
“Remember when someone mixed your bath with pepper”.
“I will never get married”.
“Bunny”.
“Who gave you the permission to drink in my house”.
“Don’t you remember?”.
“Ahhhhh” Jeremy screamed out loudly and fell on his knees.
He was sweating profusely and his eyes turned red.
“Arrrrrrrgh” He shouted as he bled from the nose.
The voices began echoing louder in his head.
Freddie was in tears but seeing him struggling he kept saying things that triggered his memories. He learnt that when someone loses his memory, if it’s not severe the only way to make the person regain the lost memories is by bringing back the person’s past life and memories to him.
The blur visions in Jeremy’s head started getting clearer.
“I love you bunny”.
He started seeing the day he met Mõ@nna, how he confessed his feelings to her, he started seeing his childhood moments with Freddie, all the memories started coming back in full and he held his head tighter as he bled more from the nose.
His brain processed everything and all his memories came back.
Freddie was looking at him, hoping he would get his memories back.
“Margaret”.
“Victoria”.
“Joanna”.
“Mõ@nna”.
“Freddie”.
“Yummy restaurant”.
“My name is Jeremy Wealth”.
“Freddie Cassius” Jeremy muttered and more tears fell from Freddie’s eyes.
Jeremy slowly looked up and stared at his friend.
“Best friend” He called, the redness in his eyes started fading away.
He stood up and wiped the blood on his nose with his back hand.
“Mõ@nna, my girlfriend, my addiction, I had an accident on Tampico bridge and my car fell into the river, that’s all I can remember from that day” Jeremy said and Freddie hugged him.
He kept tightening the hug that Jeremy was beginning to suffocate.
“Jeremy, I thought I was not going to see you again” He cried.
“I’m sorry, I lost my memory” Jeremy said with tears coming out.
Freddie kept hugging him trying to make up for the times he missed him and cried.
“What are you doing here? How do you find yourself here” Freddie asked.
Jeremy broke the hug and explained the whole story to him.
Freddie’s eyes were burning with anger as he finished narrating the whole story to him but his anger couldn’t be compared to Jeremy’s own.
“She lied to me all this while, making me to believe we were married, no wonder I feel no emotions towards her” He said and took out the ring from his finger.
“She even prevented me from watching TV and getting access to the internet, cos that I saw Mõ@nna on the TV and my memories got triggered, she’s a devil”.
“So she’s trying to go to Korea with you?” Freddie asked.
“Yes, she wants to leave with me but her lies make me believe her. I’m sorry for punching you. I took you as one of the bad guys she told me about”Jeremy said.
“I understand buddy”.
“How’s Mõ@nna? Wait, she was due to give birth that day”.
“She gave birth to a boy, it hasn’t been well with her since you left but she’s trying to be strong, hoping you will return one day, I never stop praying and hoping you will come back one day” Freddie said.
She has given birth to a boy!

His happiness elevated and he smiled widely.
“I’m sorry for not remembering so fast, forgive me” Jeremy said.
“It’s not your fault, what matters is that you are alive and healthy”.
“What if her visa ticket wasn’t delayed?, I would have been in Korea now and I would have totally forgotten about my baby and you” Jeremy said and tears started coming out his eyes.
“Stop crying, time to teach Mandy a lesson” Freddie said with a vicious look on his face.
Jeremy wiped his tears away and his face changed to a poisonous one.
“I have a plan” He muttered with a smirk.
ONE HOUR LATER**
Mandy’s car drove into the house and she smiled, tomorrow they will be leaving for South Korea.
Finally she will be free from fear of anyone seeing Jeremy and recognizing him.
She has already booked an early flight to Korea.
“Soon he will be mine completely” She said dreamily and came out of the car.
She looked at the tickets and grinned.
“You’re mine Gary” She said and walked to the door, she inserted the key into the keyhole and opened the door.
She walked in and saw Jeremy in the sitting room.
“Darling” She said and rushed to him.
“Guess what, I booked us a flight to Korea tomorrow in the morning” She said happily.
Jeremy smiled fakingly.
“We will be free from the bad guys, we won’t be afraid again and I will have no fear walking around” He said.
“Yes darling”.
“Let me cook something delicious for you” she said.
“Mandy” He called and stood.
“Yes darling”.
“I love you” He said and she gasped with widened eyes.
Did she just hear him correctly?.
Did he just tell her that he loves her?
Is she hallucinating?.
“I love you” He repeated again and her heart beat crazily, screaming madly.
Jeremy looked at the happy look on her face and he almost laughed out.
He glared at her secretly, she disgusted him so much.
He took some strides to her and grabbed her by the waist.
“Wifey, I love you so much” He said, looking into her eyes.
Mandy was melting in his arms, her heart doing a marathon, gushes of emotions washing through her.
If there’s another word to replace happiness, it would have been better to use it.
“I love you too” She finally found her voice.
He started bringing his lips closer to her lips, Mandy swallowed hard in anticipation, expecting those pink lips to land on hers.
Her eyes went shut on their own.
Jeremy was laughing inwardly at her foolishness.
Instead of his lips touching her lips it went to her ear.
“Do you know why I said I love you?” He asked.
His breath on her ear was sending wetness to her middle sister.
“No, no” She almost Mõ@ned.
“Cos it will be the last time you will be hearing it from any guy” He said and she opened her eyes to see the vicious expression on his face. It was different from the expression he had on his face when he told her, he loves her some minutes ago.
“Gary” She almost stuttered
“Gary, what a silly name” He smiled.
“My name is Jeremy Wealth, the sëxy chef, owner of yummy restaurant, one of the biggest, famous and popular restaurants in Mexico” He said and her eyes widened.
Wait!! What!.
Did….Did he just say his name is Jeremy?.
