” Can you please stop beating your mother and forgive her for wh@tëver she did? Please, Mariano… That’s my second wish” She sobbed on his shoulder and he clenched his jaw as he balled his fist.
“Dora”.
” I’m begging you, Mariano” Her grip tightened around him.
Rose stared at them in tears.
Could a mere girl really save her from torture??
Mariano released Menodora’s hands around his body and left the room.
” Mariano” She called in tears, but he didn’t look back.
She squatted and started sobbing softly.
” Young lady” Rose called and slowly, she raised her head to look at Rose.
She was staring at Rose for the first time cos when she came in, she didn’t bother to see who it was.
” You shouldn’t interfere next time” Rose said.
” I’m paying for my sins and I know I was wrong. My son only wanted to live a happy and carefree life, but I was busy trying to ruin everything ” She sobbed.
” I don’t know what you mean or what you’re trying to say, but please, hang in there and I promise to make him change” She sniffed while Rose just stared at her intensely.
She looked familiar and she was trying to fathom where she’s seen her before.
“ Why do I feel like I’ve seen her before?” She wondered, still staring intensely at Menodora.
” Miss, you should leave now ” Camelot said and Menodora stared at Rose again before standing.
She faced Camelot, then held his hands.
” Can I come here everyday to feed her? Please don’t say no” She pleaded.
” I’m…”
” Don’t worry about Mariano, I’ll handle him” She said.
Camelot sighed, he stared at Louis who shrugged.
” Alright miss ” He replied and She smiled. She did a little bow to them.
She stared back at Rose who was staring back at her.
Menodora let out a small smile before leaving the room.
She actually found out when she woke up, she went to Mariano’s room to ask him what he wanted for breakfast but she didn’t see him in the room. She was leaving his room when she sighted Monica passing by. She asked her about the whereabouts of Mariano and Monica told her he was probably in his mother’s room cos she ( Monica) heard Rose’s screams, so she knew it wasn’t gonna end well. She had no choice but to tell Menodora cos she could see Mariano treated her differently.
Menodora sighed deeply when she heard Pauline’s Mõ@ns from upstairs.
” He must be màd at me” She bit her lips slightly. She gave his room one more glance before going to her room.
…..
” Leave!! ” Mariano shouted and Pauline ran out of his room naked.
He gulped nothing down his throat, his eyes getting even redder.
” Diè !, just dié and disappear” Rose’s voice echoed in his head.
” Mom… the food, you poisoned it” Little Mariano stuttered, holding his stomach as he coughed out blood.
” No!! no !! ” Mariano screamed, scattering and breaking everything his hands met.
Menodora sprang up from her bed when she heard the loud shattering sounds. She wore her flip-flops and left for his room at once.
She stood at the entrance, staring at him. He was crying profusely that, she didn’t know when tears left her eyes too.
She didn’t bother to enter his room fully, she turned back and started leaving.
” She wanted me gone, she wanted to get rid of me just because I discovered her dirty side” He sobbed gently, going down on his butt.
He buried his head between his thigh as he sobbed. His life turned miserable when he clocked 5 he was able to endure and turn a blind eye to everything happening in their home for four years. When he clocked 11 and got into a life-threatening incident, he left home completely and returned as a heartless guy.
The first person he looked for after his return was Rose. He built his house and held her captive. She was shocked to see the 11 years old she poisoned still alive and healthy.
All his life, he vowed he’ll make her regret not adding more poison to his meal, so he wouldn’t have survived that night.
“ Everything you did since I clocked 5 until the night you poisoned me, I’m gonna make you pay for them all, Everything!” He remembered the words he said to Rose the day they met again.
” I h@të you mom, I wish you nothing but death” he sobbed again.
She did even more horrible things to him in the past. He just didn’t want to think about it again, cos he just might end up getting a gun and blowing her brain off.
” How I wish Dad didn’t die too, it would’ve been a privilege to kill husband and wife together” He muttered again.
His life has been a mess since his childhood, but he was determined to live on to show his mother he could do great without her support.
He worked hard, sponsored himself, and built his company. Most people think he inherited his late father’s company and living a prince’s life, but the truth is, his father’s company went bankrupt years back before his death.
He met Eduardo while in high school, and it took a while before they became friends cos Mariano found it hard to trust people. He was offered a scholarship to Italy where he began leaving a good life. With Eduardo’s help, he was able to build his house and his company.
He sent Eduardo his savings since he trusted him. Eduardo was the only friend he had until he met Steve who happened to be Eduardo’s brother
Mariano came back to Costa Rica for his college when Eduardo told him about the completion of his ( Mariano) mansion.
No one knew how he came about his wealth except for Eduardo. When he came back, he became a different human who goes cràzy at the mention of pu$$ies. Eduardo had no idea why his friend suddenly became a sèx addict, but he didn’t pester Mariano cos he was sure Mariano would tell him if he wanted to.
Mariano was still in thought when he slept off in that position.

Steve had been on his knees ever since he came over to Eduardo’s mansion. Eduardo on the other hand didn’t even spare him a glance as he manipulated his laptop.
“Eduardo” Steve called.
He knew his brother so well, he knew Eduardo was doing nothing on the laptop. Yeah, that was his way of punishing him.
” I’m sorry” he said again, but Eduardo still played dumb.
” Fine, I’ll call Mariano and apologize to him” he added, taking his phone. He dialed Mariano’s number which kept ringing without an answer.
He tried again and again but Mariano didn’t pick up.
” Is he very màd at me?” He wondered, then clicked on the message icon.
? GOOD MORNING BIG BRO, YOUNGER BROTHER IS SORRY FOR WHAT HE DID YESTERDAY. PLEASE DON’T IGNORE MY CALL AND PICK UP” he sent, then called again yet, no reply.
” He’s not picking up ” He faced Eduardo. Eduardo stood up and started leaving for his room ignoring Steve. Steve quickly rushed to him and held Eduardo’s leg, preventing him from leaving.
” Fine, I admit… I did that because I’m in love with Menodora” He said and Eduardo turned to him, surprised.
” Yes, I’m in love with her that’s why I did that. I’ve been in love with her ever since she got admitted early this year ”
” You mean she attended the same college as you?” Eduardo asked and Steve nodded quickly.
” I knew it was my final year, but I still fell for her. I Loved her so much that I thought I was gonna go cràzy… I completely lose it when she dropped out of school”
” Huh?”
Steve began explaining everything to Eduardo without leaving a detail. Eduardo blinked non-stop when Steve was done talking.
He likes the same girl his younger brother likes?
Truly, Steve always told him about the new girl in his school and how he’s come to like her a lot. He was even the one coaching his brother on how to approach the new girl and now the new girl happens to be the girl he ( Eduardo) couldn’t get off his head.
What a difficult situation.
” You should stand”
” Am I forgiven?”
” No, you’re not ”
” Why? I told you everything already ”
” Apologise to Mariano first” Eduardo said, walking away.
” That strong-headed brother of mine” Steve sighed, standing on his feet. He sat on the couch Eduardo was and stared down at the laptop.
” I knew it, he was doing nothing… I wonder why he enjoys making me suffer anytime I come to apologize ”
” What’s wrong with Mariano? Was I too harsh? He’s someone who doesn’t really care about what other says, then why’s he not picking up?”
” Should I go see him in the evening? Nah, I can’t face Dora for now” He muttered, staring at the message he sent to Mariano.
He hadn’t even viewed the message.
< EDUARDO’S ROOM >
Eduardo kept pacing around his room as his brother’s words kept ringing in his head.
“ The girl his brother likes happens to be Menodora?” He just couldn’t believe it.
His mind drifted to how Menodora and Steve were talking back at Mariano’s place.
“They know each other, that’s why they were smiling at each other”
” Jeez, how do I do it?” He ran his hands through his hair before sitting on the bed.
” My brother and I like her, but she’s living with Mariano and they’re close. I’m sure Mariano doesn’t like her, he’s just being nice to get into her P@ntiës…What should I do? I just don’t see myself giving up on her” He muttered.
” F*ck!” he screamed loudly falling on his bed.
” What happened” Steve rushed in.
” Leave! ” Eduardo shouted again while Steve scoffed, but he immediately pick to his heels when Eduardo sat up, looking for what to aim at him.
Eduardo exhaled loudly as he laid back on his bed.

Steve sighed when he saw the text from his mom.

Steve chuckled.
” She’s such a headache” He said as he sat back on the couch.
