CALM STANCE
“Sha.. Shane” She called shockingly.
Her eyes widened madly as she stared at his face.
The mask fell from her hand and her head made a straight spark.
She was shocked, surprised and confused at the same time, three things in one.
Shane is her savior, so all these while she has been close to him without knowing. His scent had been giving her a clue but there was nothing she could land her hands on to say it was him. He had been with her.
Her shock was reflecting in her eyes as she kept staring at him, Shane was expecting her to react this way, he wasn’t surprised at how she was staring at him. He expected it already.
“You were the one that saved me that night?” She asked carefully.
“Yes, Rona” He replied.
“You killed those guys?” She asked again and he nodded.
“So you have been aware?” She asked.
“Yes, I have been aware that you are the girl I saved that night, the bracelet on your hand and the jacket” He said and she took her eyes to the bracelet on her wrist before looking back at him.
Shane has a calm stance on his face as she stares at him, shock evident in her eyes.
“What are you? Are you a killer and how did you know how to use a gun? You even have one” She asked curiously.
Shane scoffed, he knew she was obviously going to ask him that.
“Are you now afraid of me?” He asked, his eyes intently piercing into hers.
“I’m not afraid of you, those guys deserve what they got but I don’t understand why you will be using a gun”.
“It’s for protection, satisfied now?” He said.
“How did you know I was here?”.
“Let’s say my instincts directed me here” He said and slowly began walking away. Rona followed behind him.
She quickly took his hand and he looked back. She smiled.
“I’m happy you turn out to be my savior that I have been wishing to see again, you were right before me but why didn’t you tell me you were the one?” She pouted.
“You seriously expected me to do that?” He said gently.
“My savior turns out to be my handsome lecturer, my Shane” She said cutely and hugged his arms, playing her head on his arm.
“Hey Rona” He said and she laughed.
“You should be careful, walking all by yourself at night is dangerous” He said.
“I will, I’m sorry, savior” She said.
“Stop calling me that”.
“I won’t, come to think of it, calling you savior and Shane feels so good, my Shane”.
“You won’t listen” He said as they walked home.
If Shane can use a gun would he help her kill her uncle if she decided to tell him about what he has been doing to her? No, that’s a bad idea. Stanley is dangerous and she doesn’t want to involve Shane in her mess. What if Stanley hurt him? She would never forgive herself for that, maybe she will continue enduring the pain and suffering.
Shane felt the silence between them and turned to look at Rona, she was still hugging his arm but the look on her face was indicating she was thinking about something very important.
“Why are you suddenly silent?” He asked and woke her up from her thoughts.
“It’s nothing, just thinking about how my life in school will be” She smiled.
“I love your perfume” She said.
“I don’t use perfume, it’s my body scent” He said and she gasped.
“Jeez, I can’t get enough of it, if I was sharp I would have detected you as my savior” She said, placing her head on his arm till they got to her house.
“Your uncle’s not around?” He asked.
“Yes” She replied.
“You wanna come in?” She added.
“No, you should sleep early” He said and released his arm from her hold.
“Good night crybaby” He said and stroked her hair.
He turned and started walking away.
“Shane” She called and he stopped in his tracks.
“Yes” He replied as he turned back.
Rona took some steps to him and hugged him so tight, burying her face into his chest.
Shane was about to hug her back when she broke the hug and looked at him.
“Good night, Savior” She said cutely and rushed away.
Shane watched her till she went out of sight before going to his house.
<LUTHER’S HOUSE>
Jessica entered the room and Mandy sat up on the bed when she came in.
“Baby” Jessica called lovingly and settled on the bed.
Mandy smiled and dropped the novel she was reading. She smiled and shifted closer to Jessica, she widened her arms and hugged Jessica.
“You’re so cute” Jessica said, patting her back.
They broke the hug and Jessica started smiling knowingly at her.
“What mom?”.
“You won’t talk to me about the guy that bought the clothes for you” Jessica winked.
“Uhh! Mum” Mandy said and covered her face with her palms.
“Tell me is he your boyfriend?” Jessica said playfully.
“He is not my boyfriend, he’s my senior, he is just nice and kind to me” Mandy replied.
“You deserve to be loved, I hope you get a boyfriend soon” Jessica said.
“Mum..
“I love you baby” Jessica said and kissed her hair.
“I love you too momma” Mandy giggled cutely.
Jessica stood up and walked out of the room.
Mandy smiled and lay on the bed before she took the novel and started reading again, slowly getting engrossed in it.
<THE VULTURE’S CLAN>
Thunder walked into Shaw’s chamber and bowed before him, Shaw looked up from the cocaine he was sniffing.
“Why are you here?” He asked huskily.
“I got information, there is an exchange between the black axe empire and the hell dog in Spain, location: Xly forest, I got an informant there” Thunder said.
Shaw smirked poisonously.
“How much is the goods worth?”.
“10 billion dollars” Thunder replied.
“Get the men ready, we will strike, I will teach Luke a little lesson” Shaw said darkly.
“Yes boss” Thunder bowed and walked out.
<NEXT MORNING>
Valentino was already waiting downstairs when Angelique came downstairs.
“Hey pretty @$$” He said warmingly.
She looked at him and immediately their eyes met, she gave him a cold and distant look before taking her eyes away.
“What are you doing here?” She asked coldly.
“Are you okay?” He asked, noticing the cold aura in her voice.
“I prepared breakfast” He said.
“You should stop doing all these, it really doesn’t make sense” Angelique said.
“Bestie” Erica shouted as entered the mansion but she halted when she saw Valentino.
“Tino” She called surprisingly.
“Erica” Valentino replied.
Erica looked at Angelique before looking at Valentino, her eyes caught the breakfast on the table.
“Wow, breakfast” She said and rushed there.
Valentino looked at Angelique but she avoided his face.
Without saying a thing he left the mansion.
“Wow! Don’t tell me you prepare this cos I know you can’t boil water” Erica said, eating relishly.
“Wh@tëver, Tino prepares it” Angelique said.
“What!! The playboy can cook?” Erica said and looked up.
“Where is he?”.
“He left”.
“Are you two having issues?”.
“No” Angelique replied.
“Why did you run out like that yesterday?”.
“I don’t want to talk about it…please”.
“Füçk this is delicious” Erica Mõ@ned.
Angelique bit her lips, partially regretting talking harshly to him but maybe she did the right thing.
<SHANE’S PLACE>
Rona meets up with Shane who was already waiting for her beside his car.
“I thought you would stay there forever” He said.
“Is that all you are going to say?” She pouted and he raised his brows.
“What am I supposed to say again?”.
“Don’t I look cute?”.
“You look ugly” He replied and she frowned.
“I h@të you” She said and entered the car.
Shane entered the car and his eyes fell on her wrist.
“Why don’t you return the bracelet now that you know who I am?”.
“No, I’m keeping it” She said stubbornly.
“You’re stubborn, no doubt” He said and drove out.
<CLINTON UNIVERSITY>
The students kept their mouths shut as Shane walked side by side with Rona. She’s the same girl he defended a week ago.
Rona was smiling as she walked beside him, she couldn’t believe she finally got into her dream university. She felt the students’ eyes on her but she wasn’t shaken anymore, she’s special. Her Shane told her that.
Shane was observing her and the way she was smiling, that only brought joy to his heart, he can’t help her directly but he’s happy that her dream is finally becoming a reality.
Shane faced her when they got to his office.
“Are you planning to go in with me?” He asked.
“You should go to your class” He said.
“I’m afraid, what if the students will not like me?” She puckered her lips.
“Then that’s their problem, I got you covered, now go to your class, I will see you later” He replied.
“You’re the best” She said and hugged him.
She broke the hug and rushed away.
“Such a cute baby” He said and was about to go into his office when Prof. Veronica appeared.
“Who’s she?” She asked.
“None of your business” He said and walked away.
“Who’s she to him? I haven’t seen a lady hug him before”.
<1ST YEAR CLASS>
Rona walked nervously into the class and all eyes fell on her. She became more nervous as they gazed at her.

?️But her dressing style is so gross, who wear long sleeves and gowns nowadays
?️She’s a student here
?️Is Shane your boyfriend
“Can you guys allow the poor girl to breathe?” Mandy yelled.
“Hi class” Rona waved nervously and saw Mandy smiling at her.
She walked to Mandy’s seat.
“Can I sit with…” She hadn’t finished her sentence when Mandy pulled her down.
“I like you, I’m Mandy”.
“Jimin Rona”.
“Korean?” Mandy asked.
“Yes” Rona smiled.
“Don’t mind the students, you are already trending in the university girl, can we be friends?”.
“Yes” Rona replied.
“Feel free, I will introduce you to my other two crazy friends, they are our seniors though” Mandy said and Rona smiled.
“Why did you resume late?” Mandy asked.
Rona bit her lips hard.
“It’s fine if you don’t want to talk about it, I will understand” Mandy said.

“That Bîtch again” Charlotte said h@tëfully as she watched the video. Her eyes were rolling with anger.
“But who is she really to Shane?” Stella asked.
Rose was about to say something when she saw Valentine passing there.
“I’m coming girls” She said and ran away.
“I will make this school hell for her, Shane is mine and no girl is allowed to go close to him” Charlotte ranted.
“Valentine” Rose called after valentine but he kept walking without looking back.
She finally caught up with him and grabbed his hand but he roughly yanked her hand away.
“What?” He glared hard at her.
“Valentine…” She said and swallowed.
“Avoid me Rose, I h@të bullies” He snickered and walked out.
Rose bit her lips so hard that she felt blood in her mouth.
“I h@të bullies,” She muttered, his words playing in her head.
<CAFETERIA>
“Babies” Mandy said cheerfully and settled down with Rona.
“The cutie that’s trending” Erica smiled, staring at Rona.
“Korean?” Angelique asked and Rona nodded.
“I love your baby lips, you are so cute like a baby” Erica said and Rona smiled.
“Rona, these are my friends Erica and Angelique, the craziest girls in Clinton university, the baddest Bîtches” Mandy introduced.
“I like them” Rona smiled.
“Who wouldn’t like us, luckily we like you at first sight, welcome to the crew” Erica said.
“Are you Shane’s girlfriend?” Angelique asked.
“No, we are neighbors” Rona replied.
“You’re lucky, you will be seeing that angel everyday” Erica said and they laughed.
Rona felt so much happiness within her, today has to be the happiest day of her life, in less than a day she has made friends with three amazing people.
Valentino entered the cafeteria and girls swooned around him, he kept winking and waving at them till he settled down with three girls.
“Him” Rona said, pointing at Valentino.
“You know him?”.
“He saved me two times when I was bullied and the other time when I was caught by the security” She replied and told them the story.
“That must be that Bîtch and her friends but don’t worry we are here for you” Erica said and Rona smiled.
“That’s Valentino” Mandy said.
Rona looked at Angelique and saw her looking hard at Valentino.
“Your crush?” Rona asked and she stopped looking at him.
“No, let’s eat girls” Angelique smiled.
<AFTER CLASSES>
“See you tomorrow” Rona said, smiling as they stepped out of the lecture hall.
“You understood everything that was taught right?” Mandy asked.
“Yes and even if I don’t understand my Shane is there to explain everything to me” She said before she knew it.
“Huh! Your Shane?”.
“Nevermind, bye-bye Mandy” Rona said and started walking away.
“She is funny”.
Rona was walking to Shane’s office when she saw Valentine coming at her front, she smiled.
“Valentino” She called loudly and Valentine looked up from his phone, and his eyes widened.
“Rona” He said and hastened his steps till he got to her.
“I finally see you again” He said, smiling.
“I’m a student here now” She smiled.
“Woah!! I saw you in the cafeteria but girls were all over you” She said and he smiled. She’s obviously talking about Valentino.
“That’s not me, it’s my twin brother” He said and she gasped.
“You’re a twin?” She asked.
“Yes, my name is Valentine” He replied.
“Sh|t, I remember now” She said prettily.
“Can we be friends?” He asked.
“You wanna be my friend? For real?”.
“Yeah” He said.
“Okay fine” She said and he surprisingly hugged her.
That moment Shane came out of his office and saw them, the distance was far from where she was with Valentine. He was actually heading to her class when he saw her hugging someone.
He stood there staring hard at them, his jaws hardened.
“What was that?” Rona asked.
“It’s a friendly hug” Valentine smiled.
“Bye, see you tomorrow Valentine” She said and walked away.
Valentine smiled.
Rona grinned when she got to Shane.
“You’re already waiting for me?” She asked, smiling but the hard look on his face made her smile fall, not like he has ever smiled with her but the look on his face was indecipherable.
He started walking away and she followed behind.
“Shane” She called, trying to get his attention but he practically ignored her.
“Get in the car” He said and entered the car.
Rona entered the car and faced him but he didn’t even spare her glance.
He started the car and drove out.
Throughout the drive, he didn’t say a word to her, she was expecting him to ask her about her first day in school. And why is he angry with her?
His snubbing almost caused her to shed tears but she controlled it till they got home.
Immediately he stopped the car, he got down and walked inside his house, leaving her in the car.
She came out of the car and entered his house, his shirt was gone from his body, leaving him in his vest.
He was going to the bedroom when she ran and blocked him.
“What is wrong with you? Why are you snubbing me? What’s my offense?” She asked softly.
“Leave the way” He said calmly.
“I’m not leaving till you tell me why you are snubbing me, do you know how much it hurts for you to snub me?” She said and surprisingly tears started falling from her eyes.
“Why did you allow another guy to hug you? Do you know how annoying it’s?”.
