” Move a step and you’re out of the band” Harriet said seriously, angry at Maikel for questioning her leadership.
” What!” Zora exclaimed, shocked. She faced Harriet properly to be sure she didn’t mishear.
” And I don’t remember stuttering ” Harriet replied with an austere expression before walking away in anger. Zora’s eyes widened.
Was Harriet being serious? She wondered, but with the look on Harriet’s face, she could tell Harriet was màd. Elvire chortled softly.
” Serves you right” She said mockingly before following Harriet.
” Pinch me, Elvira. I must be dreaming” Zora said and Elvira did just that.
” Ouch!” She winced.
” It’s Fůçƙïṅg real!” She gritted out as she glared at Devyn who was taking slow steps away from the scene. Her smile kept getting bigger as she thought of Maikel’s hand on her hair.
” I’m not washing my hair today” She giggled.
” I h@të her ” Honesty made a Ṣūçƙing sound with her teeth.
” Not as I do. How dare Maikel do that to me?” Gemma said, staring at Devyn too. When Devyn noticed eyes were on her, she turned and looked around to see soul-piecing eyes on her. If stares could kill, then Gemma and Zora’s stares would have sent her 6ft deep down already. Devyn pretended like nothing happened as she continued walking.
” We’ll deal with her later” Zora told Elvira and like that, they headed to class.
” I don’t forgive easily, even if you lay your life as a sacrifice to be forgiven, I’ll definitely get back at you for what you did to me, so watch your back artificial doll” Gemma muttered, but someone knowingly bumped into her.
” Heyyy!!” She screamed.
Emerald and Belinda left the scene, leaving Honesty and Gemma behind.
” And who is this crazy bitçh?” Gemma spat and the girl who bumped into her stopped. She faced Gemma with a broad smile on her face.
” Lesley, I’m Lesley. A new student, and someone you wouldn’t wanna get on her bad side” She winked at Gemma before walking away.
Gemma balled her fist and stomped her leg on the ground before walking away in fury.

DIRECTOR’S OFFICE
Devyn got her ID card and a booklet to help her know everything about the school. She bowed and made to leave when the director spoke up.
” Your mom told me about your ordeal and after I went through the videos of you as a kid singing, I’m sure you’ll meet up in no time” The director said and Devyn just forced a smile.
If only they knew how horrible her voice sounds.
” Thank you ma’am” She bowed again.
” I’ll look forward to your achievement ” The director added.
Devyn smiled again and left the office. She checked the booklet with her and it contained some of the school principles and rules.
” SILVER CLASS? What’s that? Is that Maikel’s class?” She wondered, her eyes still fixed on the booklet with her. She looked up and discovered no student was in sight.
” Why is it so quiet?” She wondered.
” I see you’re also new” Someone said from behind, drawing Devyn’s attention.
” I actually made my research and discovered there are three most popular bands in this school. SUNSHINE, BEAUTIES, AND MARVINS… I also discovered these three bands have a special class called:- the silver class cos they’re best at what they do”
” One can only get promoted to the Silver class if you pass the audition of singing all the pitches and keys with your voice still intact. You know what I mean right? Your voice mustn’t crack like a choked frog who’s giving a bl0w-j0b” The girl laughed.
” Sorry, but you are?” Devyn asked.
” Oh sorry. I’m Lesley, from France. Came all the way here to study” She smiled and Devyn nodded.
” And you?” She asked.
” Devyn…” Devyn replied.
” “Enchanté(e) de vous rencontrer, Devyn” Lesley said in a Parisian accent as she smiled.
” What? What’s that?”
” I said nice meeting you ” She replied.
” Oh ” Devyn nodded.
” What really happened between you and that witch, Gemma?” Lesley asked.
” I’m not sure too. I thought you were new? How come you know all this?” Devyn asked and Lesley smiled again.
” Well, you don’t need to be careful around them. Just wink at me and everything is settled” She replied, and Devyn frowned confusedly.
” So tell me, can you sing well? Are you ready for the upcoming audition?”
” Audition?”
” Yeah, audition. It’s in a few days, though it’s not compulsory, but to participate, you have to… ” Lesley continued talking but Devyn’s mind was in wonderland.
‘ Since it’s not compulsory, I shouldn’t even bother’ She said in her head. Lesley noticed she’s been talking alone and smiled.
” You look bothered ”
” Huh? ”
” Sorry I talk too much ” She added and Devyn nodded. They got to class and everyone stopped what they were doing to take a look at them.

” Don’t let it get to you” Lesley said and held her hands, taking her to an empty seat behind the class.

MARVINS MANSION
” You’re back…” Valerie stopped playing the guitar after Maikel walked in.
” Yeah, I had to go Mrs Kim’s office on my way here” Maikel slumped on the couch tiredly.
” Did something happen? Okay, let me guess… Zora and Gemma again?” Ian asked and Maikel chuckled.
” Why were we born so perfect?” Alistair chipped in, leaving the bathroom in only his underwear.
” Wait, that’s mine! That underwear belongs to me!” Rema who’s been playing video games said immediately he noticed.
” Sorry, I’ll get you a new one” Alistair grinned, walking to where the standing mirror was.
” So what happened this time?” Valerie asked.
” You guys should know better” Maikel replied.
Ian and Valerie nodded in agreement.
Nash didn’t pay them any attention as he lay on the couch, unbothered by the things going on.
” I’m sure his mom was asleep when he was born” Sweetheart tutted, his eyes fixed on his phone and the other boys laughed. Yeah, Nash is the type of guy who doesn’t joke with his sleep.
” I’m sure he can even sleep inside water” Sweetheart added.
” Heard we have a class ” Rema said.
” A class? I need to get ready then. I wanna make the girls breathless” Sweetheart kept his phone and dashed into his room for a change of clothes.
” I’ll go change too” Alistair said. He’s a fashionista who’s obsessed with his face.
Maikel is their leader, the eldest. Nash follows, then Alistair, Rema, Ian, and Valerie before Sweetheart who’s the youngest among them. Seven of the boys are what you’d describe as perfection.
Sweetheart is very flirtatious. He doesn’t Fůçƙ around, but he likes girls a lot. In a day, he receives nothing less than 50 calls from different girls. He’s playful too and he has this cool unique voice.
He h@tës it when his fellow guy calls him Sweetheart, hence his slogan ” I’m not gay, so call me S.H”
Even his group members call him S.H.
The boys were done dressing and left their hostel. Students who already knew the exact time they go to class rushed out to see them.

The girls screamed and as usual, Sweetheart smiled cutely at them before throwing the girls invisible K!SSes. They clutched their chest tightly, staring admiringly at him.
” Sweetheart!” A guy screamed and Sweetheart stopped walking, a frown creased his forehead as he faced the guy who just called him.
” For our peace of mind, please don’t Sweetheart me” He cautioned and the rest of the members couldn’t help but chuckle at his silly attitude. He placed his hand over Valerie’s neck as they walked away.
” Aren’t They so cute?” Lesley facepalmed herself.
” Your parents or MARVINS?” Devyn asked.
” MARVINS” Lesley replied and Devyn shook her head in disbelief. Even though she liked Maikel, she’d never choose him over her mom, cos her mom is a jewel she never wishes to lose. MARVINS were finally out of sight and the students began going into their various classes.
” The mark on your face, how did you get it? I noticed you wore makeup” Lesley said, and Devyn’s eyes widened.
” How did you know?” She asked, shocked.
” I don’t know, maybe because mom is a makeup artist?” She shrugged, and Devyn forced a strained smile.
” Is it that obvious? Did Maikel also notice it?” She muttered lowly, already embarrassed.
” I see it’s your little secret, but don’t worry, it’s safe with me” Lesley smiled and held Devyn, taking her to class, but someone stopped in front of them.
” Hey, I’m Kate. Do you mind if we make a team for the upcoming audition?? Let’s sing together and then win the audition. I’m tired of staying in this class already” Kate smiled, but Devyn didn’t return it.
How does she tell them she couldn’t sing? Who’ll believe her?
She started walking to class, leaving them behind.
” Sorry… ” Lesley said and went after Devyn.
” Did I say something wrong?” Kate wondered before heading to class too.

A teacher walked in and the students settled on their seats, then silence followed.
Devyn just stared.
” Good morning babies ” The teacher said. ” I can see new students… Wow!” She smiled, surprising the rest of the students.
” Miss Rachel, you’re scaring us. If you’re here to scold us, please just do it. Your smile is frightening ” Kate said loudly which made the other students laugh.
Miss Rachel was tagged the strictest teacher in camp high. If she smiles, then the class will surely get it hot. If she laughs, the students will faint before she could even think of punishing them. No one wanted to get in her black book. It was always hell for her victims.
She chuckled, confusing the students the more.
” Are you sure we won’t die today?” Another student asked.
” Enough! ” Miss Rachel tried to keep her cool.” Well, there’s no lesson today ”

The students screamed excitingly.
” But, we’re gonna practice ” She announced, ruining the students’ excitement. Most of them grumbled before sitting down.
” There’s an upcoming concert in a few days time and I was wondering if any of you could… you know, register?” She said and the class went silent.
” Oh please, I know we aren’t that good in this class compared to the silver classes. I’m not also forcing you all to do it. It’s part of training and it will only help you with stage fright, so don’t get scared. I’m smiling because of this and not because I want to punish anyone” She made her reasons known and the students exhaled deeply.
She looked around the class till she sighted Devyn.
“What’s your name, new student? And let’s see what you’ve got” She said, staring at Devyn.
” Me? ” Devyn pointed at herself and Miss Rachel nodded.
” Yes, you. Let’s see what you’ve got” She repeated and immediately, Devyn felt hot.
How was she gonna sing in front of all these people when she doesn’t even have a voice? Slowly, and with trembling legs, she stood on her feet.
” Ermm… I’m… I’m Devyn Han” She paused, inhaling deeply as she looked down at her feet.
” Okay? Let’s see what you’ve got” Miss Rachel smiled.
Devyn bit her lower lips nervously as she stomped her leg gently on the ground. Lesley noticed her uneasiness and stood up.
” I’ll go first. I think she’s not in the mood right now. Maybe later?” She said.
Miss Rachel faced her with a smile.
” I don’t change my mind easily. So darling, get your bûtt back on your seat.” Rachel smiled.
” Right! I should do that ” Lesley sighed, staring at Devyn.
” I… I don’t know how to sing, I came to learn ” Devyn said, praying she’ll escape this one.
” Of course, every one of you here came to study and most of them don’t have the voice, but they gave their best. And that’s why I was assigned to help them. I’m here to lead the way, darling, so don’t be scared ” Miss Rachel assured.
” You can do it, fighting!” Lesley said to Devyn.
” I swear, I can’t ” She replied as tears began leaving her eyes, confusing the teacher. Some of the students stared confused too. Since they wouldn’t give up, she decided to disgrace herself. Today would be her last day in school anyway.

Before she could complete the second line, everyone burst into laughter. Kate immediately stared at Devyn who had tears on her face. No doubt her voice was the most horrible thing she’s ever heard.
” Was that the reason?” Kate wondered.
Lesley pulled Devyn back to her seat and engulfed her in a hug as she cried.

The ugly comments kept coming and Devyn cried loudly. When she couldn’t take it anymore, she picked up her things and ran out of class.
Miss Rachel just laughed briefly before facing the students who were still laughing and talking ill about Devyn’s voice.
” If you think you’re better than her, raised your hand… If you do, I’m registering you for the audition, and if you lose, not only will you leave this school, no other musical school will take you in” She said and the students immediately kept quiet.
She then faced Lesley ” You know her?”
” Just her name, we’re both new” Lesley replied.
” Try to get in touch with her, okay? Tell her to see me when you do ” She said and Lesley nodded.
” Now, let’s see what you’ve got ” She added, and Lesley bit her lips. She wanted to go after Devyn.
She sighed and began singing slowly. Rachel nodded as Lesley’s tiny voice filled the class.

9 PM
Devyn cleaned her eyes and left the dark alley after she noticed it was late already. She didn’t go home and had been crying ever since she left school in the morning. She held her backpack and started taking the route which lead to their house when a car stopped Infront of her, almost hitting her.
She shifted backward and two people came out.
” Hey, we meet again” Zora smiled and Elvira immediately walked towards Devyn and slapped her hard across the face.
” When next you see Maikel, you should run” Elvira yelled and pushed her. She fell to the ground, bruising her both arms and knees.
Her tears started afresh.
” Do you have scissors in the car? I need to cut off this hair Maikel touched” Zora said.
” I don’t, but teaching her a lesson will be great” Elvira said and went to Devyn. She grabbed her hair and pulled it while giving her countless slaps.
” Mom!” She sobbed as Zora joined Elvira. They tore her uniform and made sure she had bruises all over. Her forehead and mouth were bleeding profusely.
It was an isolated road so no one was in sight.
After beating her to their satisfaction, such that she found it difficult to raise any part of her body, they entered their car and drove off.
” Eomma! ( Mom!)” Devyn cried more as she struggled to stand. When she finally did, she changed directions and started walking into a shallow forest.
She sat on the ground and began crying loudly.
” I h@të myself! I h@të my life! I just wanna die… I wanna leave this cruel world!” She wept as she opened her backpack. She had a little bottle she always takes with her in case of situations like this. She got the bottle and stared at it.
She began reminiscing about her good times with her mom and her tears flowed the more.
” I’ll miss you Mom, I will ” She sobbed for a while before cleaning her eyes.
” I’m sorry I won’t fulfill my dream of becoming a superstar, but I’ll be a star in the sky. I’ll watch you every day so you don’t feel too lonely” She sobbed again and opened the bottle.
She placed it on her lips, ready to gulp it when she saw a light, in form of a shooting star or more like a meteor coming towards her directly.
” Is there a show somewhere?” She wondered, but the shining light kept coming in her direction. Her eyes widened. In fright, the bottle fell from her and the lightning landed right Infront of her, almost blinding her. A loud blast happened, sweeping her off her feet, landing her somewhere not far from where she stood before.
” Ouch!! ”
She winced and stood up with great difficulty to see what it was.
Her eyes widened more at the view.
A guy was standing stark Ɲ@kēɗ in front of her!
Her eyes scanned his body and it landed on his dîçk. Her eyes widened again as she felt nausea, breathlessness, dizziness, a rapid heartbeat, and a dry mouth as she stared at him.
She was seeing a Ďïčk for the first time in her life so it was giving her a panic attack.
” Arghhh!! ” She screamed at the top of her voice and fainted.
