β Yes, Iβm insaneβ He blurted out. Mu Yul nodded in agreement too, feeling proud of his great interpretation. Miss Rachel laughed lightly and the students joined in the laughter.
Blueberry and Mu Yul exchanged confused glances, wondering why everyone was laughing.
β Mr. insane, you can go take a seat β Miss Rachel said, and Blueberry nodded. He looked around and left for an empty seat while Mu Yul sat next to him.

The students murmured, staring at the two boys who were glaring hard at each other as if a fight would break out soon. between them.
Devyn noticed and left her seat to meet him.
β Blueberry?β She called and he looked at her.
β Iβll be on my way and good luck to the particiP@Εtsβ Miss Rachel said and left class. Immediately she did, the girls rushed to Blueberry and Mu Yul pushing Devyn out of their way. She fell to the ground and bruised her arm.
She winced gently while Lesley ran to her and helped her up.
β Devyn β Blueberry called when he saw her fall and she looked up. Even her name sounded sweeter in his mouth. He made his way through the crowd of girls to her. After he left his seat, the girls surrounded Mu Yul.
β Why are they so many like bees?β He wondered in his head as girls brought out their hands to touch him. His face was starting to get red from all the constant touches.
β Stop!β He suddenly screamed and they all stopped. He stood up and released a breath.
β You should leave, Iβm not what you think I am. Iβm very wicked and I feel pity for no one so be careful β He said meanly and the girls stared at each other and then back at Mu Yul. This time, he had a frown on, so quietly, they all left for their seat.

β Iβll be out for a while β Devyn said and left class. Lesley made to leave too but Blueberry held her back.
β Who are you? Youβre not what you show her to be β He said and she eyed him.
β I donβt have time for your talk. Seeing how you glow, Iβm sure youβre not human. Excuse me. Lesley snatched her hands and ran out of class.
Blueberry stared at her then back at Mu Yul. He went back to his seat and the two boys kept staring at each other not knowing what to do. Everything looked strange to them. The class and everything in it.
β Why are you here, grim reaper?β Blueberry asked and Mu Yul stared at him again.
β How do you know that? Is it so obvious? Did the human girls notice?β Mu Yul asked, but Blueberry ignored him.
β Why is this place so boring?β He pouted as he stared at the class, paying no attention to Mu Yul who was asking him questions.

Lesley met Devyn seated on a bench in the garden. She sat next to her and held her hands.
β Is something wrong? Is he the Blueberry you said was dumb?β Lesley asked and she nodded.
β Does that bother you? I mean the fact he talksβ She asked and Devyn shook her head.
β I was just shocked thatβs all. I mean, for days now Iβve been talking to the walls at home, then one morning, out of the blues, he just talked β
β Heβs still naive, I mean which normal human will say heβs insane?β Lesley laughed. Devyn laughed too.
β I know right?β Devyn laughed while Lesleyβs mind drifted to what Blueberry said to her and she scoffed.
β What does he know?β She muttered.
β What?β Devyn asked.
β Nothingβ¦ Iβll be on my way now, okay? Donβt stay long in school and I wish you good luckβ Lesley K!SSed her cheeks before running off.
β Did something happen?β Devyn wondered loudly.
β Donβt worry about her. Sheβs harmless, but donβt get too attached to her β Someone said from behind. Devyn turned to see who it was.
β Blueberry?β She called while he sat next to her.
β Since when did you start talking?β
β Cecilia thought me and I learned from watching TV shows too β He replied and she stared at him, confused.
β My mom? Then why havenβt you spoken to me since you knew how?β
β I didnβt want to bother you β He replied, staring at the sky. Devyn chuckled.
β You sure are so naiveβ she muttered.
β Naive? Is that a curse word? Cecilia said βNo curse words β
β No, itβs not a curse word. Itβs some sort ofβ¦ compliment?β She said, not sure of the explanation to give and he nodded.
β I donβt find anything bad with using curse words. When youβre mad, curse at whoever made you mad, okay?β She said and he nodded again.
β I wish I could sing tomorrowβ She hissed loudly. He stared at her for a long time before moving his gaze to the ground.
β Go prepare for tomorrowβ He said and Devyn stood up gently and began following him behind. She kept staring at him but still couldnβt believe he was the same guy who couldnβt even walk properly.
β Insane β Someone called from behind. Knowing who it was, Blueberry didnβt bother to face him. Devyn almost laughed.
β See whoβs being CΓΆΓ§kyβ She chuckled as they headed home.

Devyn got home and met her mom setting the table. She had made so many dishes that Devyn began to wonder if there was a party in the house.
β Youβre back so early today β Cecilia said.
β Yeahβ¦ And I have a lot to ask you Momβ She dropped her backpack and walked to the dining. She took a chopstick and began eating directly from the beef sauce.
β This is nice β She said.
Blueberry sat on the couch, his gaze on the TV.
β Why was I sent to this strange place? What am I?β He was in thought until he felt a hand on his shoulder.
β Letβs eat. Mom made a lotβ Devyn held his hands and pulled him up. They got there and she made him seat.
It was like a complete family now.
β So Mom, why did you come back home early? Itβs still 11 amβ
β I took permission. I needed to make something delicious for you as my way of saying good luck β Cecilia replied and Devyn smiled widely.
β Thanks, Mom, but how did Blueberry know my school? And heβs now a student too? Isnβt that a mistake? I mean heβs not used to being around people. Like today, Miss Rachel asked if he was insane, and guess what? He proudly and confidently said yesβ Devyn said and Cecilia laughed.
β What? He said heβs insane? Gosh, that was too much for Miss Rachel to ask β Cecilia said amidst laughter. Blueberry paid no attention to what they were saying as he ate gently.
β Heβll get used to it as the day goes by. I didnβt want him to stay alone at home all day so I had to register him today. Immediately I did, I asked to take the day off and my boss accepted without arguing. Who knows, he might be our lucky charmβ Cecilia faced him.
β Devynβ¦ β Cecilia faced her. β You should teach him what he should know, okay?β She asked and Devyn nodded.
β Berry, make sure to be a good guy hmm?β Cecilia said and Blueberry nodded.
β Cute β She touched his hair gently before she started eating again.

Lesley was still thinking about the audition when she felt someone sitting next to her on her bed. She turned swiftly and she saw him.
β Itβs you again. Who are you and why are you bothering me?β She asked.
β Me? Iβm all powerfulβ¦ and β
β Thatβs great then. Use your powers to kill for yourself. I didnβt come here for joke, I came to fulfill my dream of becoming a superstar one day, so please stop bothering meβ She said and he laughed.
β A day will come when Iβll be your only optionβ He said and vanished. Lesley sighed as she looked around.
β Should I just go back to France?β She wondered.
β Itβs a bad idea, I canβt β She closed her eyes and fell back on the bed.

β«· AUDITION DAY ~ ALL-STAR MUSIC SCHOOL β«Έ
Devyn marveled as she got into the auditorium. It was big and the interior design was captivating. The blue curtains on the stage gave it a unique color. The floodlights added to its uniqueness.
β Letβs go meet MARVINSβ Miss Rachel said, leading them out of the hall to a room where they met the boys seated, playing games on their phones except for Nash who had his head placed on Ianβs lap with his eyes closed.
β They arenβt nervous?β Devyn wondered.
β Good morning Miss Rachelβ Maikel greeted and she nodded.
β Who are those performing first?β She asked and Alistair shrugged.
β Alright. I want the girls to stay with you until itβs your turn. Iβll go meet the other teachers β She said and smiled slightly before leaving.
β Hey, Dev β Sweetheart waved and she smiled.
β Youβre singing?β Maikel asked, but she quickly shook her head.
β Iβll only play the piano while Lesley singsβ She replied and he nodded.
β Thanks for the guitar β She said and that was when Nash opened his eyes.
β What did you just say? My baby got you a guitar?β Nash asked, his gaze on Devyn. Maikel gave a confused stare before pulling her to a corner.
β A guitar?β He asked and she nodded.
β Someone said you sent it and it looks exactly like the one I had but itβs of great quality than mineβ She said but Maikel didnβt seem to know about it.
β It wasnβt from you?β She asked and he nodded.
β I wonβt take credit for what I didnβt doβ He said and she began wondering who got it for her. No matter how she thought about it, she couldnβt think of anyone.
β Your gift is still with me. We should meet after the auditionβ He said and she smiled before nodding. He held her hand as they went back to meet the others. Immediately they got in, everyone looked at their interlocked hands.
β Are we dating now?β Rema asked and that was when Devyn noticed she was still holding onto Maikel. She quickly withdraw her hands.
β We shouldnβt stay here. Letβs go watch others performβ Ian said.
β Nah, a nice and quiet place like this will help your throat heal β Valerie said and Ian nodded slightly. Devyn and Lesley got themselves a place to seat as they await the program.

βΉβΉ A FEW MINUTES LATER βΊβΊ
Mu Yul and Blueberry looked around confusedly, wondering why the place they called school was so crowdy. They were still looking around when Mu Yul noticed someone who looked strange.
β Isnβt that a crab? Whatβs it doing on land? Do they walk like humans too?β He asked, staring at the person who had a crab costume on.
β Thatβs a costume. Youβre too clueless for a grim reaper β Blueberry scoffed as he continued his walk.
β Costume? Whatβs that?β Mu Yul asked but Blueberry didnβt give a reply until they got into the auditorium.
β Give it up for sparkling girlsβ The host screamed and six numbers of girls came in. The crowd cheered loudly.
β Oh my!! β Blueberry and Mu Yul held their ears at how loud the auditorium was, yet the noise didnβt stop.
β What are they doing?β Mu Yul asked.
β Shouting I guessβ
β Should we shout too?β
β Should we?β Blueberry asked back and in seconds, their voices became the loudest.

The girls kept singing but then Blueberry and Mu Yulβs voices became so loud that, nobody heard the girls singing again, just the two boys shouting with their eyes closed.
The securities were asked to kick them out. When they got to them, they began to run around the auditorium still shouting their lungs out. Another group of securities went after them, making a number of 20 securities and finally, they were caught and kicked out.
The crowd turned back to the group singing, but then, the girls lost the zeal to sing already cos they werenβt smiling as before. After singing for a while, they left the stage.
Another group was called in and they began to perform. And so it went onβ¦.

β Let us go. Fine, itβs our mistake. I thought it was part of the song they were singing cos everyone else was doing itβ Mu Yul said, struggling with the security men that held them.
β Let me go! How dare you harass a grim reaper of the highest order? Iβll make sure you all never enter Nirvana when you die. Iβll make sure youβ¦β¦β Mu Yul kept whining on and on but the security men ignored him.
β Let me go β Blueberry said and immediately they were released.
β How did you do that?β Mu Yul asked.
Blueberry looked at him with a frown.
β Wait a moment, are you insane?β He asked.
β Yeahβ¦ I am, since you areβ Mu Yul answered and Blueberry shook his head in denial.
β Youβre the only one insane, dude. Iβm not amongβ Blueberry said as he walked back into the auditorium.
Marvins got on stage and the crowd went crΓ zy.

π₯ Valerie, I wanna hear you sing with that voice of yours.
Their fans kept shouting and screaming while Mu Yul and Blueberry just watch without a word. They didnβt want to be thrown out again for screaming too loud.
Nash held on to Ian so he wouldnβt feel sad about his voice. Ian smiled at him as they faced the crowd.
π€ Calm down babiesβ Sweetheart smiled and the girls shouted more.

β Why are they screaming more than before?β Blueberry wondered as he stared at MARVINS.

When it was Ianβs turn, Rema sang his part while he lip-synched to the song.

The screams continued and for some strange reason, Ianβs vision became blurry and it felt like the crowd was screaming directly in his ears. He covered one of his ears with his free hand and tried to hold it in until they were done singing.
β Evil aura? β Mu yul muttered and immediately, Ian fell on stage.
β Ian!!β Nash rushed to him. Maikelβs mic left his hands as he turned to take a look.
βIan!!β Valerie rushed to him too, his eyes glistening with tears.

The crowd began murmuring and the murmuring became louder when all the lights on the stage went off, leaving the auditorium in total darkness.
