” Val, can you please open up, huh?” Sweetheart pleaded and the others joined him in knocking on Valerie’s door.
” I want to be alone ” They heard him say from inside and Maikel faced the other four.
” I’ll be back ” He made to leave, but Rema held him back.
” Where are you going? Nash went out without telling us where he’s heading to, and now you too?”
” Valerie and everyone here is my responsibility. I’m sure Nash played his part as an elder brother. Let me go do mine” Maikel patted Rema’s shoulder before walking out of the house.
He got out and looked towards Valerie’s window and it was opened. He estimated the height of the window and how he was gonna enter through it before nodding.
Valerie raised his head which was buried between his clutched knees when he heard movements from his window side. Clueless of who or what it might be, he stood up and took slow steps towards his window. On the spur of the moment, Maikel’s face came to view and a scream left Valerie’s mouth, making him fall in the process.
” You okay?” Maikel asked with concern as he entered the room. Valerie winced and stood up again. He saw the blood leaving Maikel’s hands and he frowned.
” Yah, why is there blood on your palm? Don’t tell me you got injured?” He asked and Maikel nodded with a smile.
” It’s worth it though ”
” You can smile even after being injured? You’re unbelievable. I’ll get the first aid kit ” Valerie said, and made to leave, but Maikel hugged him.
” It doesn’t hurt… But you ignoring us because of some silly pictures hurts more” Maikel said, and Valerie sniffed tearfully.
” It’s okay to cry. Boys cry too, we’re all humans after all ” Maikel said as he patted his back gently. They stayed in the hug for a minute before disengaging from it.
He made Valerie sit on the couch before going to open the door. The rest of the boys rushed in.
” Valerie!” Sweetheart ran to him and hugged him tight.
” Why would you let such things get to you?” They heard a voice from behind them and they all turn to see Nash standing by the door.
” What did Maikel tell you the day we discovered you had freckles?” He asked as he walked into the room.
” Now that I think about it, he hid it from us for a month. A whole month! ” Alistair exclaimed which made Valerie chuckle.
” Wow, you have freckles? Gosh, they’re so beautiful” Valerie repeated what Maikel had said the first time they discovered.
” And what did he say next” Nash asked again.
” He said I’m the first person he’s seen with such a face which makes me special. He said I had all the stars disguised as freckles on my face ” Valerie replied in tears.
” That’s it! And never should you forget that. You mean the world to us, each of you means so much to me” Nash added.
” Hyung! ” Valerie called as he hugged him.
” Don’t be Sîlly, I belong to Maikel” Nash pushed his head away and Valerie laughed.
” Baby… It’s been long we K!SSed” Nash pouted.
” What! Stop that! It’s so gross!” Maikel shuddered and left the room.
Nash and the rest of the boys laughed at his expression.
” Thanks for coming around” Alistair smiled as he hugged Valerie.

SILVER CLASS
” Who could have done that to Valerie? It’s shocking to know he has freckles though” Emerald sighed.
” How would I know who did it when I was in another class hitting myself?” Gemma asked and Belinda burst into laughter.
” It’s so funny anytime I think about it” She said amidst laughter while Gemma glared at her.
” You’ve been quiet, Honesty. Hope you aren’t the one who did that? I mean the pictures” Emerald looked at her.
” Why would I do that when you all know I’m cràzy over him?” Honesty replied.
Emerald laughed shortly.
” You still have feelings for him? You should give up cos I don’t think those guys are ready to date”
” What can I do, Emerald? I’m helpless, but won’t give up yet, he might notice me”
” If I were a boy, I wouldn’t notice you” Emerald said and Belinda stifled back a laugh.
” That was harsh ” Gemma said with an eye roll.
” Same goes for you, you know why? Because you both are the bad eggs among us. I just don’t know why I haven’t kicked you both out of the group” Emerald tutted.
” Ah, maybe because no one else will take you two” She added. Honesty and Gemma rolled their eyes at her.
” I wonder why we are the only ones in class” Belinda said as she looked around.
” I know right? And it’s thanks to whoever uploaded those pictures” Emerald sighed again.

” You both aren’t responsible for what happened today, right?” Harriet questioned as she stared at Zora and Elvira.
” Why would I do a thing like that? Even you know I have eyes just for Valerie” Elvira replied and Harriet exhaled.
” I want to believe you both are telling the truth” She said and they both nodded. Harriet nodded too and headed to her room.

” What is he?” The man in a black outfit wondered aloud.
” Why is he so powerful? Where is he from? What’s his real identity? If I get his glowing soul, then I wouldn’t have to eat any more souls to renew my strength. I’ll be immortal ” The man said again as he walked around the small dark shabby house. The red candle in the center of the room, gave the room a little glimmer.
” The girl he’s always with, who’s she? Are they close? Could she be his weakness? If my guesses are right, then it’ll be so much fun” He smirked evilly.

DAYS LATER
Days passed, but still, no one had any idea who posted the pictures. MARVINS hadn’t been attending classes since then. They stayed at home and tried to make good memories so Valerie wouldn’t have even a single second to think of what happened to him.
Cecilia hadn’t been going to work too while Devyn took it upon herself to teach Blueberry how to sing and play the guitar she had no idea who sent it to her as a gift.
” You’ve only been listening ever since we started learning how to sing and play the guitar, and it seems I’m wasting my time Berry”
” Don’t you wanna join me when I eventually get my voice back? Don’t you want us to sing together someday?” Devyn asked.
Blueberry stared at the guitar with her, then at the piano before going to seat in front of the piano. He placed his hands on the keys and began playing them while Devyn listened solemnly. He played for a few minutes before stopping.
” Wow!!” Devyn exclaimed at how good he played.
” Should I try that too?” He pointed at the guitar and Devyn nodded quickly, handing it to him.
Blueberry took it and started playing it too. Devyn couldn’t help the numerous ” wows ” that left her mouth.
He played so well that she wondered if he was the same guy who always got scared at the sound of the guitar and piano.
He dropped the guitar and looked at her.
” Ever since I discovered who I am, I haven’t told you anything about myself, and I won’t tell you until my mission in your house is complete”
” Mission? Is there something you came to do at our house?” Devyn asked and he shook his head in denial.
” I didn’t come to do anything at your home. I only came because you needed me. You’ve always prayed for a miracle, and that night, I came. I’ll do anything you want as long as you ask for it. I’m at your service, always” He said and she burst into laughter.
” What? you some deity or what?” She asked, but he ignored the question as he stared at her in the eyes.
” Stop staring at me like that. I might fall for you if you keep doing that ” She said, but he didn’t reply.
” What is it you want the most right now?” He asked and she placed her hands chin as she thought.
” You need to be calm and think it through. You might regret it later if you don’t give it a proper thought”
” I would’ve wanted to be with Maikel, but I can’t right now cos I want to do that when I get my voice back, so for now… ” She trailed off as she thought again.
” Mom has been down ever since she lost her job, I would be happy if she gets her job back. Her happiness matters to me a lot ” She muttered.
” Why do you ask though” She asked.
” You’ll get to know soon ” He stood up and left her room.
” Why is he being strange?” She muttered.
” We should go to school tomorrow ” She said to his hearing, before lying on her bed.

NEXT DAY
Cecilia was still eating breakfast when her phone rang. She checked the caller, and when she discovered the number had no name, she ignored it, but the call didn’t stop coming in. Angrily, she picked it up.
” What? Who are you? if someone doesn’t pick up your call, doesn’t that mean that person isn’t in the mood to pick your calls? And again, I don’t answer calls from unknown numbers” Cecilia said and the person on the other end chuckled.
” Is it funny?” She asked.
” Hey Lia, make sure to resume work tomorrow” The person said and she removed the phone from her ears to stare at the number
” Please who are you?” She asked calmly this time.
” You really have anger issues, don’t you?” She heard the voice again and her eyes widened.
” Sir Jayden?” She asked.
” Don’t be late, and stop using a 19-year-old teenager as an excuse for coming late. See you tomorrow” He said and ended the call.
” Huh? Did I get my job back?” She wondered.
” OMG!!” She screamed as she jumped around the place happily.

Lesley was preparing for school when a message popped up on her phone. At first, she thought it was from Devyn so she hurriedly went to check it.
It was a photo. A photo of a family of three with her in the middle. Her head started banging immediately after she saw the picture.
” Lesley?” She heard a voice echo in the room.
She looked around the room with a frown as she tried to figure out where she was.
” Where am I? What am I doing here?”
” If you want to save your parents, Lesley then bring me your friend. Bring her to me, or your parents die tonight”
” What friend are you talking about? I don’t know what you’re talking about! ” She shouted.
” I know you don’t, but Caterina does ” He laughed.
” Who’re you? Who the hell is Caterina? I don’t know either of you ” She said in tears as she went on her knees.
” Please don’t hurt my parents, I beg you ” She pleaded.
” Then let’s strike a deal, Lesley. You’ll bring me Devyn, I’ll let your parents go ”
” I don’t know who she is, but I promise to bring her to you ”
” It’s a deal then ” The voice said and tears left her eyes.
” I’ll monitor your every movement. Any word from you to any of them, I’ll kill you and kill your parents. Their souls will also add to my powers cos they possess the seven-star channel ”
” Mom, dad ” She cried on her knees..

” Hey, dude ” Mu Yul threw his hands around Blueberry’s neck.
” I told you we aren’t close ”
” But you saved me” He replied and Blueberry eyed him before scoffing.
” That will be the last time” He said and started leaving while Mu Yul went after him.
” You’re making my heart beat so fast and I think I’m in lo… ” Before he could complete the last word, Blueberry landed him a blow.
” Ouch!” He held his lips.
” What did you do that for? ” He asked with a frown.
” Cos even if I’m to hear that word from anyone, it shouldn’t be from you. Now I feel like puking” Blueberry made weird faces before walking away. Mu Yul chuckled and ran after him. When he got to him, he placed his hands around Blueberry’s neck again.
” You’ve got a death wish?
” Let’s go somewhere tomorrow. A gift for saving my life” Mu Yul said as the left for class.
…..
” Lesley!” Devyn touched her shoulder and she turned swiftly with fear written all over her face.
” Who… Who’re you? Do you know me?”
” Is something wrong with you?” Devyn frowned. ” It’s me, Devyn ”
” Devyn?” She asked and Devyn nodded. ” My friend?” She asked again and Devyn nodded still.
” Is everything alright? Do you need to see the school specialist?”
” I’m… I’m fine ”
” Right… ” Devyn replied, not sure of what to say.
She held Lesley’s hands and started taking her to a bench in the garden.
” Can you believe it? Berry can play both the guitar and the piano. Gosh, he played it so well that I’m so proud of myself for being his teacher” Devyn boasted.
” Berry?”
” Yeah… The guy who’s always with me. You sure you’re alright?” Devyn asked and she nodded, smiling awkwardly.
” You asked us to meet yesterday, what’s it all about?”
” Oh, errmm… I…I’m having issues with playing the guitar too. A little help from you would do” Lesley said.
” You want me to come to your house?” Devyn asked and she nodded.
” Fine then, let’s go after lessons ” She said, and Lesley nodded again.
” Let’s go ”
They made to leave the place when they came across Maikel.
” Hey Dev ” He waved at her before turning to Lesley.
” Hey Lesley ” He smiled at her which she returned with a strained smile. He moved his gaze back to Devyn with a bright smile on.
” I waited for you to come take your gift but you didn’t come and when I came looking for you, you were not in class ”
” Oh, that… My mom instructed me to coach someone on how to play the instrument and sing. The instrument part got solved yesterday and this week, we’ll do the singing part” Devyn explained.
” Alright, don’t leave school early tomorrow. I’ll give you what I owe you” He said and she smiled at him.
” I hope you keep smiling brightly like this, even during tough times” He said and she blinked rapidly.
She kept reminiscing on his words as she watched him leave.
” What does he mean by that?” She faced Lesley.
” I… Don’t know ” She replied as they went to class.

The day went by in a blur, and Devyn was happy all through. She couldn’t wait for tomorrow she could see what Maikel got for her.
After lessons were over, she stood up and went to Blueberry who looked like he was in deep thought.
” Who could be making you think so hard?” She touched him, bringing him out of his reverie.
‘ Just wondering what will happen to me after the three wishes ‘ He said in his head. He then shook his head at her, signifying nothing was bothering him.
” You should go home okay? I’ll go with Lesley today. I’ll be back before you know it, so if Mom asks, tell her I went to a friend’s place” She said and Blueberry stared at Lesley who quickly looked away.
” Alright…” Was all he said and when Devyn made to touch his hair, he shifted backward.
” Stop doing that, I’m not a dog ” He muttered and she chuckled.
” Bye ” She waved and left the class with Lesley.
They both boarded a cab which took them to their destination. Lesley opened the door and they both entered.
” Wow.. this house is kinda big for just you” Devyn said.
” Yeah, my mom rented it for me ” She replied and Devyn nodded. Her eyes surveyed the house till she saw the fridge. She walked to it, and when she opened it, she found nothing.
” Nothing in the fridge?” She asked.
” Really?” Lesley asked back as she walked towards Devyn. When she saw nothing in the fridge, she sighed.
” Do you mind if I go get you something down the street? It’s not far from here ” She said, but Devyn shook her head.
” It’s fine, Don’t worry ”
” Why not, you’re my guest ” Lesley pulled her cheeks slightly with a smile on her face. Devyn nodded gently while Lesley left the house.
” I don’t know who you are, but I’m sorry ” She sniffed as she left the house completely.
” It’s so sad to see a human, trust another human so much” Devyn heard a voice, but she didn’t see who it was.
” Who are you?” She asked as she looked around the room.
” Me? You don’t have to know. I heard you can’t die, but that’s not totally true ”
” What do you mean?”
” Why the rush? Let’s wait for your boyfriend to come save you. I’ve prepared something that might kill him, and I hope it works. If he doesn’t come in the next 5 Minutes, you’re sure gonna dié before you become the superstar you dream of ” Laugher echoed in the room before a figure came to view.
He stretched his hands and an unseen force grabbed Devyn by the neck.
” Let me go!” she struggled.
” Don’t worry, until 5 minutes, you won’t die by the unseen force. I’ll wait for him to come take you, but if he doesn’t…” The man trailed off and stared at the sword with him.
” Lesley, what were you thinking?” Devyn said in her head as she coughed. The time was ticking already.
It went on till the 5 Minutes elapsed. Weak Devyn tossed on the bed and without thinking twice, the man stabbed her thrice on her stomach.
” Berry ” She called weakly with blood leaving her mouth. Slowly she went mute and her soul left her body.
” Now, I’ll get more energy from you ” The man smirked as he pinned Devyn’s soul to the spot it stood.
” Why am I two?” She asked, staring at her body. Her eyes widened when reality dawned on her.
” Please, I don’t want to die ”
” You already did ” The man said as he opened his mouth wide, and gradually, Devyn’s soul started to fade as he feasted on it.
