Chapter 1
“This is our next big hit” Thomas smiled broadly, showing the screen of his laptop to Natasha.
“Oh, he’s handsome”Natasha grinned,staring at the photo on Thomas’s laptop’s screen.
“And super rich” Thomas said “unlike those men we’ve been swindling, this guy is seriously loaded” He brought his laptop closer to himself and pressed some keys on it.”I’ve been doing a lot of research about him for the past month. His name is Erik Zander and he’s the CEO of one of the most biggest and famous tech producing company named TECH BUILDERS”
Natasha folded her lips.
“I don’t know…”She sighed.
“What’s wrong?What do you mean you don’t know”
“You know I’m still dealing with Martin Clark”
“This is the thirteenth year you’ve been married to him and you’ve still not gotten any of his money” He said “Listen, I’m tired of waiting”
“You think it’s easy waiting for his daughter to turn twenty four so I can take the money from her after she gets access to it?”
“Wait,how do you even plan on getting the money from her after she gets access to it?”
“I’m her stepmother,I stood by her all these years since her father’s death”She said “Not that I wanted to”She muttered and rolled her eyes”Still, she loves me. Do you know how much she wants for me to treat her like she’s my own daughter,I can use that to trick her into giving me the money and if that doesn’t work, there’s always plan two” She smirked.
Thomas grinned,understanding her.
“But,” He said “You told me she’s still twenty one years old. We still have time to dupe Erik Zander before she turns twenty four”
“You’re sure this is going to be a fast job? I don’t want one that’ll take me more than a decade like this one”
“Trust me”
“Okay,so…have you thought of a plan already?” She asked
“Yes”
“Nice” She smiled
“But um…”He cleared his throat
“Is there a problem?”She asked through gritted teeth.
“Well,uh…Erik Zander, he’s young and you’re… older than he is”
She glared at him and scoffed.
“Did you just call me old?”
“Of course not. But you understand what I’m trying to say, right”
She looked away,still pissed.
“Come on” He held her face and made her turn to face him. “You may be getting older but you’re still beautiful”He buried his hand in her hair.
She smiled, biting her lip seductively.
“Always beautiful”He muttered and smiled before taking her lips in his,fondling her hair as he kissed her.
Natasha smiled into the kiss, holding his shirt to bring him closer to herself as the kiss continued.
Her hands caressed his chest and that made his head spark.
He hardened the kiss and loosened his hold around her hair before roaming it around her body and it wasn’t until his hand got to her zip that Natasha came to her senses, remembering they were in her office.
She broke the kiss.
Thomas stared at her,giving her a questionable look
“We don’t want anyone walking in on us,do we?” She pushed his chest, allowing his back hit the couch.
He groaned frustratedly before sitting up and wiping the lipstick stain in his lips.
Natasha brushed back her hair into place.
“So,what do you propose we do then since I can’t do the job?”She asked
“I was thinking maybe we could bring someone new into the business,a young lady” He said “But, it’s just that I can’t seem to trust the ladies I find. They might run off with the money after doing the job”
“So,we need someone we can trust then” She said “Someone naive” She smiled
“It’s going to be hard finding that kind of lady”
“There’s no need to. I know the girl for the job”
“Who?”
“Kiara”
“Your stepdaughter?”
“Yes and I think she’s the perfect girl for the job. What do you think?”
“Well, she’s pretty enough” Thomas said “But I don’t think she’s not going to agree to help us in swindling Erik”
“No,but I think I know a way for us make her help us. She’s won’t even be aware that she’s helping us swindle him”
“How?”
“Leave it to me” She said with a smirk.
“You know you have to make it quick right?”
“Of course I know that”
“If you’re able to succeed into convincing her to help us, I’ll tell you the next course of action but until then…”He closed his laptop and stood
“You’re leaving already?”
“Is there a reason for me to keep staying in your office?” He asked “Or you want us to finish what we started?” He smirked, staring at her lips.
“How many times do I have to remind you that we’re in my office?”
“Then let’s go somewhere else” He shrugged
“Your house?”
“Wherever you choose”
“Wait in your car outside, I’ll join you in a few minutes”
Thomas grinned and kissed her before leaving her office.
Natasha stepped out of her office after picking her bag.
She walked to the counter where three ladies stayed, attending to customers.
“Where’s Kiara?”She asked when she saw Kiara wasn’t with them.
“She’s in the bathroom”One of the girls responded.
“When she gets back,tell her I left already and she’s to close the supermarket at eight pm” Natasha said
“Yes ma’am” The girls nodded.
Seconds after Natasha left,Kiara joined the girls.
“Boss wants us to close early”Daphne,the only girl Kiara was close to among the three girls said to her.
“Really?” Kiara asked, surprised “Why?”
“Why? You should be happy”
Kiara was about to respond when her phone beeped.
She brought it out and stared at the screen,it was a message from Natasha
*Did the girls deliver my message? Close the supermarket early,I have something important I have to tell you* Kiara read inwardly.
“Important?”Kiara mouthed.
