Chapter 27
(Road Commotion)
Evans’ POV
“You will be driving the truck” Bruce muttered in his usual cold voice. It’s kinda surprising how I manage to know their names within the brief space of time. Yea, he is the one that always glare at me at any opportunity, more like he wants to strangle me.
The fact that I haven’t been killed by now still baffles me, but I’m sure that I’m being monitored as hell.
He smirked, closing up the space between us, leaving an inch
“You think you have the best driving skills?” He asked with a scoff, hitting my shoulder, while I gave him nothing but a stare. Though the little jab had an effect on my shoulder, I’m such a weakling.
“Don’t impress her too much.. because your head will roll soon” he stated, walking away just as the boss came closer. I don’t know why I h@të this guy, he is just too bossy, and acts like the boss himself, and aside that, he doesn’t look like someone to be trusted. Just like the others, the boss was dressed in a leather kacki outfit, with a bullet proof jacket on.
Her hair was held in a bun as always, revealing her sharp jawline, with her usual nose mask. At the sides of the outfits are pistol pockets, she also held an AK 47 riffle on one hand. Can I really hold that with one hand …not at all
“Get in” she ordered me. I was still dazed in my thoughts, not knowing when she came closer. Is she going to be riding with me? I thought, watching her climb up the driver’s seat. We left the clan with me blindfolded, sitting at the passenger seat, not until we got to the main town where we switched position. Though I was still clueless about what was about to happen, all I had to do was to obey her orders.
I was asked to park in a way that will obstruct any incoming vehicles from going through, while the other members stepped down, wearing construction outfit, bringing out some equipment to pretend to be working on the road. It wasn’t dawn on me what the drama was all about until another truck of the same model and colour of the one I’m in, drove towards us. The driver was asked to stop by one of the gang members, and the sound of a bullet followed
“Füçk it…who shot” the boss yelled into her mouth piece, pushing my head downward. The situation turned bloody after the first shot, perhaps they are here to fight with a rival gang, but why will try bring me along.
“Don’t step out!” Was the last sentence she spoke before alighting the truck. I bent my head low to avoid being hit, but the sudden thought to escape hits my mind

“BullSh|t…. bullSh|t…Jaguar is hit” Mercury yelled into her mouth piece, as she flung the door open, jumping off the truck. She opened fire immediately, shooting without mercy.
“Take position everyone” Kyla ordered into the mouthpiece, they all focused on their given task Bruce is to drive out the truck containing the vault alongside Autumn, while Kelvin will go with Moonlight on a bike and Kyla will deceive the police with the wrong truck. That was the plan from the beginning, but they never expect to meet another gang in the position of the police; the blood clan, their worst enemy
“Keep on shooting, don’t back out” Don yelled from afar, each gang member hiding behind the vehicles as they exchange bullets
The wolves were unable to go closer to the truck containing the vault, while the blood clan couldn’t move forward.
“Move Bruce, I got you covered” Kyla stated, fixing in a new cartridge.
“Ok boss” he replied, swinging into action. He fired two shot towards his opponent killing one of their trainees on the spot
Dodging the bullets that flew his way, he ran behind the large truck, about climbing up the driver’s seat but was stopped by a gun pointed towards his head.
“Move and get you head bursted” a female voice rang into his ear. He scoffed a little, gently raising his hand up. He knew she was being stupid, she should have shoot him immediately, perhaps she is a trainee, he thought.
“Get on you knees…” Amazon shouted. Just as he was about doing that, he turned sharply giving her a head butt, she staggered trying to regain her stance when another blow landed on her face. He kicked the gun off her hand, pulling her by her hair while hitting her head on the truck. She screamed bleeding through the nose.
“Get the Füçk off me…” She snapped, digging her teeth into his arm as she gave him a hard bite. He hissed in pain breaking free the hard grip while sending a kick to her stomach. She writhe in pain, kicking his balls. He groaned, lashing hard on her, pulling her up from the ground he pushed her with force, her back hitting the truck as he began to choke her, holding her neck firmly.
“Sh|t….help me here Kelvin” Autumn yelled, as the bullet rained toward her increased. It was coming from Mercury, whose aim was to kill any victim she lay her hands on. Kelvin, who seem closer to her fired two shot at Mercury, giving Autumn a chance to recover, but the bullet couldn’t pass through the thick bullet proof suit she wore. She took a hiding position and began her heavy shooting again
“Thanks” Autumn muttered to Kelvin
“Cease fire” Kyla commanded her members, as they all put their bullets on hold. The blood clan also ceased fire just after the wolves had. Evans, who had been in the other truck couldn’t help but pray for his head to be in good position, due to the amount of bullets that had hit the truck
“Donald” Kyla called with a loud voice, stepping forward, same as Don who could be seen sweating in anger
He spits out his saliva, walking with caution towards her
“The truck is ours….go home with your men or expect more blood shed” she yelled loud enough for him to hear. Donald laughed out, calling out his members to be on standby positions.
“You are nothing but a whore….do you think I will surrender what we suffered to get….this is bullSh|t. Why must you, of all people always try to ruin my game” he snapped, pointing his gun at her, same as his members, they all corked their guns
“We have been hiding behind the vehicles, shooting at each other….don’t you think it’s time to end it all” He seethed
Kyla chuckled, she knows he won’t let out a bullet, else his crew will go down in a second. They are yet to know that Jayden who isn’t on the battle field can attack them from behind. She had given him orders before agreeing to come out, she knows what she is doing
“Tell your members to drop their guns Don” she noted coldly, but he wouldn’t hear of it. Just then, Bruce walked out dragging Amazon along with him, with his gun pointed to her head
“Drop your guns or I blow her head off”he shouted. It became dawn on Don that Amazon wasn’t behind him all along, he was so furious to have noticed when she left the circle..
“Füçk this” he gritted, his fist hardened on the gun, as he watched her already beaten to pulp. She spits out blood, staring at him with a poutting face, fear was already written all over her.
The blood gang were waiting for Don to give them an order to retreat, but his hand didn’t move a bit, he felt angry and scared of losing the whole lives of his members at the same time.
“Kill her” Kyla ordered Bruce. Though it came as a shock to him, he didn’t know what Kyla was up to, he was ready to shot when Amazon screamed Don’s name, making him surrender
“Fine….don’t Füçking shoot” he yelled, dropping his hand, his members also dropped their guns except Mercury. Everyone glanced at her, she was staring directly at Kyla, with her gun pointed towards her
Bruce held his gun, not shooting, while Amazon shivered to the feet, she would have been shot if she didn’t screams out. Was Don really gonna let her be killed, she thought
Kyla smirked seeing Mercury’s determination. The two ladies glared at each other, before Don’s voice came up
“Mercury….”
“I ain’t gonna back out Don” she snapped, angering Don the more
“Get your Füçkin gun down” he yelled at her. She hesitated
“Come in Jayden” Kyla muttered
“On our way boss” Jayden replied; and in less than a minute, he drove in with two other trainees, on bikes, each. Well, Kyla later agreed to take two trianes along, but she choosed them herself, and they both happened to be Justin and Raphael. She didn’t want them on the fight ground, but took them along for emergency cases. They parked roughly, bringing out their guns in process.
On top of the car Jayden drove was an automated machine gun, all it needs to open fire is just one click. This time Mercury brought down her gun, they were already surrounded by the Wolves, there is no point fighting anymore.
They all heard the siren of police coming towards their direction. Don smirked, he believe the police will catch up with them while taking the truck, so he backed out
“The police are on their way…you can have the truck and give me my girl” he noted referring to Amazon who was still held under gun point
“No one leaves until after the truck has been moved” Kyla ordered. Don gritted, if not for the lives of his gang members, he wouldn’t mind blowing her head off
Kyla gave orders to Moonlight, to drive the empty truck out, while Kelvin will drive out the truck with the vault. They did accordingly, though Evans, who thought the game was over for a while tried sneaking out of the scene but met up with Moonlight, who was about coming for the truck.
“And where do you think you are going…get in and move this thing out of here” she snapped at him. He cursed silently, entering the truck as he drove it out, they went East while Kelvin drove the other towards the west.
This time the police vehicles had drawn closer, Amazon was released as the Blood clan took to their vehicles, driving out towards the north.
Autumn drove with Jayden while Kyla took Kelvin’s bike, heading towards the East where the empty truck went through.
“We are coming with you boss?”Bruce who is to ride with Justin spoke up
“No…we will split….I will go alone…the rest of you should go with the vault truck, the police won’t follow that direction, the server is still down, it will be up in a minute…so go”

“Boss…the police are after us” Moonlight muttered into the mouthpiece after citing a good number of police officers racing after the truck
“I know….I’m behind you, don’t shoot…just keep on driving” she replied
“Why the hell are they after us” Evans yelled, increasing his speed as he was told to do.
“Increase the speed, we need to lose them….” She replied, corking her gun. Though she wasn’t planning to shoot but there might be a need to
“What!!?” Evans exclaimed, he was already on a high speed. Kyla’s bike was far behind, the police vehicles. Pulling out her gun with one her, she fired at the vehicles’ tyres closer to her reach, making it screech causing a forced accident, but the others moved on, some began to fire at her
“I thought you are the best driver” Moonlight yelled
“Huh….yea” he replied
“Then show some crazy skills, we need to lose them” she stated.
“What??
“Do as I say and stop asking stupid questions” she snapped angrily
He stepped on the brake suddenly without warning, changing the gear to a reverse, as he sped backward, clashing with some police vehicles which were closer.
“Füçk it” Kyla exclaimed, almost losing focus as the truck drew closer to her. She changed direction, to avoid being hit by it. Some of the other vehicle drivers who had lost focus’s, ended up colliding into each other, some somersaulted into the closer by valley, causing a disray
Only few vehicles were left behind, but they didn’t back out. Just as Evans resumed driving the truck forward, swaying it sideward, they continued their pursuit.
Kyla decided to finish them off with an explosive. She increased the speed of the bike, raising the front tyre up while moving with the back only. She sped past their middle to the front, releasing explosive gases, into their vehicles.

The empty truck could be seen, parked along the road side while the trio walked down the valley into the woods. The area isn’t covered with surveillance cameras, so it will be difficult for the police to send more troops to get them.
“d@mn…I’m tired” Evans muttered, as they made their way into the forest. The ladies didn’t say a word, they kept their faces straight as they walk along, until they got to a river where they decided to take a break.
Bringing out her device from the bag they brought along, Kyla flipped through the Google map
“We have just 5km to cover, before getting to the main road, we need to change…to mingle with the civilians.” She stated. Moonlight nodded, taking off the bulletproof jacket and other piece, placing them in the bag as she was left in her underwears
Kyla left to check out something in the forest, as Evans saw it as an opportunity to leave their midst. Though he doesn’t know anywhere around here, but he never want to get into the mess of policemen if they eventually catch up with them.
Moonlight moved closer towards the river, dipping her body into it. Though she was conscious of Evans movement, but pretends not to notice. He wasn’t held under handcuffs or ropes, so it was his opportunity. He titptoed out of that arena, running wildly towards wherever his legs took him to.
His leg tripped on something as he fell over hitting someone in process. He writhe in pain, grabbing his leg, as Kyla’s figure surge forward. He could see some other men, dressed like Hunters, huge and scary behind her
“Going somewhere” Kyla asked, pulling him up. He steady his breathing causing his badluck
“I’m tired of all this…I’m tired…I want my life back…I want to go back home…haven’t I served you enough…huhn” he yelled, puffing. She smirked
“You haven’t begin your service at all”
“This is bulllSh|t…I didn’t do any wrong…why must you hold me captive…I’m tired of staying here…I wanna go..”
She sighed out…pointing forward
“Fine….you wanna leave….then leave….that’s the way…you are free to go” she stated. Evans heartbeat increased. Did he hear her well, did she just say he should go…like he is free to leave. He thought
His legs felt heavy to move at first, he stared at her weirdly, returning his gaze to the men who stood behind. They were holding bags and Hunter’s riffles; he stared at her one last time before turning to leave.
He was conscious of what will happen next, but he prays it never happens. Just as he takes his tenth step, she brought out a gun from her side pocket and fired a shot. Boom, its sound echoed round the whole forest.
