Ethan and Beatrice had their eyes buried on the floor, as both Xiaomi and Xavier looked at them.
“So he’s your boyfriend?” Xavier asked, and Beatrice quickly nod her head.
“Since when have you two been dating?” Xiaomi asked.
“A… a week” Beatrice stuttered.
“A week? And you didn’t tell us about it? Where you planning on hiding it from us, forever?” Xavier asked.
“I’m sorry kids. I didn’t know how to tell you both”
“Hey, you” Xavier and Xiaomi said at the same time, and Ethan quickly looked at them.
“Uh-huh”
“You talked her into this, didn’t you? I’m sure you told her to keep her relationship with you a secret so you will break her heart one day, right?” Xiaomi asked, with her hands wrapped around her chest.
“No… I didn’t” Ethan answered in a low pitch voice. The way he was trembling, you’d think he was being interrogated for a crime he didn’t commit, but on a second thought, who wouldn’t be scared of two kids who were acting like they’d kill him if he made one slight wrong?
“Then if you didn’t tell her to keep her relationship with you a secret, why are we just finding out now?” Xiaomi asked.
“He was even trying to kiss her when she resisted” Xavier added.
“Well I… I.. em… ”
“I was the one who told him to keep our relationship a secret” Beatrice said, cutting Ethan short.
“Huh?”
“Why?”
“Because I didn’t know how to tell you two that I was in relationship. I needed time to let the cat out of the bag, but you both caught me before I could do so” Beatrice said.
“Even still mom, you could have told us about it. In regardless of the situation, we’d have understand. You are still very young so there’s room for you to still be in a relationship” Xavier said.
“I’m sorry for keeping it a secret from you both”
“Do you love him?” Xiaomi asked.
Beatrice looked at Ethan before nodding her head. “Yes, I love him”
“What about you? Do you love my mom?” Xavier asked.
“Yes I do. Very much” Ethan answered.
“My mom means the whole world to me. I don’t joke with her, likewise my sister too. If you ever make my mom cry, I’m going to kill you” Xavier said.
“I won’t ever hurt her, Xavier. I promise” Ethan said with a smile.
“I don’t have a problem with you dating my mom, all you have to do is take proper care of her. Make her feel like she’s the only one you’d love forever, understand” Xiaomi said.
“I do”
“Is it settled then?” Beatrice asked, and both Xavier and Xiaomi smiled at her.
“We’re so happy for you, mom!” They said hugging her at the same time. Ethan looked at the twins and smiled.

≤ GRACE’S CONDO ≈ SAME NIGHT ≥
Grace came out from her room after having her shower. She tied her hair in a messy bun, and she was wearing a chiffon PJs.
“What are you smiling at?” Grace asked Kathryn, who was sitting on the couch watching TV.
“I’m watching a movie, Grace, and it’s so interesting” She said, giggling. Curious to know what she was watching, Grace walked the living room, and she frowned when she saw the couples on Tv, kissing.
“So this is what’s making you smile? Kiss?” She asked.
“Of course Grace. That’s why K-dramas are the best. There’s no K-drama without a kissing scene, and handsome dudes” Kathryn said, smiling.
“Give me the remote”
“Why?”
“Because I loathe romantic movies a lot. Apart from the twist, we already know the leading characters are going to end up together. Let’s watch something different, a new action movie will be show today, so give the remote to me”
“I know this is your house, but I am not giving the remote to you. Is either you watch this movie with me, or go to bed” Kathryn said and laughed because of a funny scene being shown on TV.
“I love this guy, he is so handsome. He used to be a teen actor back then in 2023. He’s all grown up and getting lead roles. We’re of the same age” Kathryn said smiling.
Grace looked at the TV screen and hissed. “Make sure you leave my house first tomorrow okay. Because I won’t harbor you watching K-drama or wh@tëver in my house, understand”
“Save your saliva my dear friend, because I am not leaving” Kathryn said, and resumed smiling at the romantic scene between the leading characters.
Grace sighed. “I forgot you are the owner of this house and not me” She said, and Kathryn giggled.
Grace was about going back to her room, when her phone chimed. She checked it, and it was a message from Craig.

Grace looked at the message again and sighed.

≤ CHICKEN RESTAURANT ≈ SAME NIGHT ≥
“Why did you call me out here? It’s late” Grace said with her hands tucked in the huge coat she was wearing. It was snowing in Los Angeles, so it was kind of cold.
“Sorry to have called you out in the cold. Have a seat” Craig said smiling.
Grace looked at him for a few seconds before sitting down, and Craig did the same. “What kind of chicken do you want?”
“I’m not hungry. Just go straight to the point on why you call me here” Grace said.
“Well I just want someone to be with today, and you were the only one I could think of”
“You don’t have friends or family, why bother to call me?” She asked looking around the restaurant.
“They died”
“Huh?” Grace uttered, looking at him.
“Today marks a year when my family died. Just like how it’s snowing today, it was snowing that way a year ago. I had just a kid brother and my parents”
“How did they die?” Grace asked.
“Food poisoning”
“They were poisoned?” Grace asked.
“Not really. It turns out that they ate an expire product, and they died on the way to the hospital. I’d have died with them if I didn’t argued with them that night”
“What did y’all argued about?”
“You” Craig answered.
“Me? Why will you and your parents argue about me, when we just met recently?” Grace asked, looking confused.
“I told you before, right? That I did a background check on you. I couldn’t focus on any other lady because I was determined on seeing you again. My parents always set up a blind date for me, and when they found out that I turned down their friend’s daughters because of a woman I met just once when I was a kid, they got angry. They stormed into my apartment and lashed out me for being stupid. They called you names, Grace and I got angry. I told them to died so that they could leave me alone. I left my apartment, and I didn’t come home that night, only for me to find out the next day that they are dead. I still blame myself for their death, because if I haven’t said awful words to them, they’d be alive” Craig said, sniffling.
“Why didn’t you h@të me after that?” She asked.
“Huh?” Craig muttered looking at her with tearful eyes.
“I was the reason you argued with your parents. You’d have hold a grudge on me, so why did you come all the way to Los Angeles, after what happened?”
“My parent’s death have nothing to do with you, Grace. You didn’t even know who I was at first, I’m the foolish one to long for someone who doesn’t care about my existence”
“Of course I cared about your existence, Craig. You said you are going to make sure I fell in love with you, right? So I’d advise you to try harder” Grace said and Craig smiled a little.
“There, you should smile, else you’d give your family a heartache because of your tears. Why do I feel so hungry all of a sudden” Grace said, making a funny face and Craig laughed.
“Thank you, Grace”
“For what?”
“I know you’re trying to make me smile. That’s what I needed today, and you fulfilled it. Thank you”
“Stop looking at me that way, I might fall for it” She said, looking somewhere else, and Craig smiled.

≤ THE STARS ACADEMY ≈ NEXT DAY ≥
Loud screamed filled the school field as the students watch the boys playing a football game.
“Go Richard! You got this woah!!” Xiaomi said in a loud voice and she screamed loudly when Richard score a goal.
“You’re a genius, Richard!” She said and Richard threw a flying kiss at her, and Xiaomi laughed. Xavier frowned his face after he saw what transpired between Xiaomi and Richard, but he had to stay focused so his team won’t lose, since he was the goalkeeper.
“I didn’t know you were friends with Richard Lawson. He’s a teen soloist” Kayla said.
“He’s my classmate and since I am his fan, we are kind of closer” Xiaomi said, and Kayla smile.
Isa was with them, but she was busy staring into space. The thought of what her mom said to her hasn’t left her memory.
“Isa, do you want to have some cheesecake?” Kayla said, but Isa didn’t reply her.
“Isa?”
“Isa!” Kayla said, tapping her, and Isa flinched looking at her.
“Are you all right? You seem lost” Kayla said.
“I’m fine, Kayla. Do you need anything?” Isa asked in a voice that wasn’t audible.
“Xiaomi and I want to get cheesecakes at the cafeteria, I was asking if you’d want some”
“No, I am good”
“Do you want to go with us?” Xiaomi asked.
“I think I should remain here, cheering for our classmates”
“Are you sure you are okay? It seems like you’re troubled about something”
“I am okay, Kayla. You both should go without me”
“Alight…. If you say so” Kayla said and turned to leave.
“Kayla!” Isa called her name preventing her from leaving.
“Hmmm”
“Well I… Em… I… Just be careful” She said smiling, and Kayla smiled at her.
“I will” She said, before leaving with Xiaomi.
“Sorry for not telling you what my mom has installed for your mom, Kayla. I am sure she means no harm” Isa muttered, taking in her bottom lip.

Richard came out from the restroom and sees Xavier waiting for him.
“Who are you?” Richard asked.
“That should be my lines. Who are you and why are you flirting with Xiaomi?”
“Who are you to Xiaomi?”
“I am her twin brother. I saw what you did during the football game, don’t do it again”
“Take a chill pill, dude. You’re not the one that will marry your sister” Richard said, and Xavier pinned Richard to the wall.
“Look, I don’t care if you are a celebrity, but I am going to break your legs if you go close to my sister again. Stay away from my sister, this is my first and last warning” Xavier said with all seriousness.
He let go of Richards shirt and walked out of the restroom.
“Why are all brothers overprotective of their sisters? It’s not like I have bad intensions towards Xiaomi” Richard said and sighed.

≤ LUCAS’S MANSION ≈ SAME DAY ≥
“You have been on your phone for so long, are you expecting a call?” Julianna asked, sitting on his lap.
Lucas sighed and dropped his phone. “I’m trying to call Jane, but she’s not answering her calls. Ever since Stephanie started working in her company, I have been restless”
“Why?”
“I don’t trust her, Julianna. I told you before, that she almost killed Jane fifteen years ago”
“That was years ago, Lucas. Maybe she has changed”
“Or maybe I am the one being suspicious for nothing”
“If you’re worried, you should check up her”
“Is that ok with you?”
“Sure, while you are at it, I will check up on the best wedding gown to wear on our wedding day”
Lucas smiled and kiss Julianna.
“What’s the kiss for?”
“I just want you to thank you for being so understanding”
“I should be the one thanking for coming into my life. I made have done lots of wrongs in the past, but I was able to change because of you” Julianna asked.
“What happened in the past?”
Julianna smiled and hugged Lucas. “It’s not important anymore” She said, hugging him tightly.

≤ STARLIGHT FASHION INDUSTRY ≥
Stephanie could be see moving a trolley, as she walked inside the hallway of Jane’s company. She had an earpiece on, and she was having a conversation with Debra and Rebecca.
“It’s everything ready?” Rebecca asked.
“Yes. All that’s left is to inserts the bombs” Stephanie answered.
“Bombs? What the hell is she saying mom?” Debra asked, with widen eyes.
“We are going to explode Jane’s company” Rebecca answered.
“But this wasn’t part of the plan, Mom. All I want was for Jane’s company to be sabotage, not inserting bomb in her company. What if she or anyone dies in the explosion. I know I am not a righteous person, but I don’t want blood in my hands. I’m not capable of murder” Debra said, getting scared already.
“You don’t have to be scared, Debra. No one is going to die. Stephanie and I already planned it out”
“But it’s still cruel, Mom”
“Are you feeling sorry for Jane?”
“Of course not mom. She’s trying to take Adrian from me”
“Then let her suffer Debra. It’s going to profit you, if her company is no more. Think straight and stop having guilty conscience”. Rebecca said and Debra took in her lips.
“Stephanie, begin the plan”
“I will ma’am” Stephanie said and ended the call. She continue pushing the trolley until she arrived at the store room. She opened the trolley which she had earlier covered with a white sheet and brought five bombs.
She placed the bombs on the wall, and set the timing for it to explode. She smirked and went straight to the fire alarm clock and she hits it so hard.
Loud scream filled the company as everyone began running out of the company. Stephanie also went out with them. She watch from a distance as everyone was running out of the company.
Jane just arrived with Joyce, and she’s surprised to see everyone running out from the company. “What’s going on?” She asked.
“I don’t know ma’am, the fire alarm clock was turned on” a worker answered her.
Stephanie looked at her phone screen, and when she saw the company was empty, she pressed the bomb button and a part of the company exploded, and everyone screamed in shock, running for their lives.
“No, this is not happening!” Jane said with a crying voice, trying to enter her company, but Lucas held her back. He just arrived at her company.
“What’s going on Lucas? Why is my company exploding? Why is it exploding!” She said in a crying voice trying to enter her company again, but Lucas held her hand.
“It’s dangerous, Jane!”
Stephanie smirked and pressed the bomb button again, and the whole company exploded, collapsing at the same time.
“My company!!!” Jane screamed out crying, as Lucas did his best to prevent her from entering the burning company.
