THIRST FOR MARRIAGE !!!
Episode 4.
As the days passed, Toby’s advances and the incident at Wendy’s house lingered in my mind. I found myself constantly thinking about him and questioning his intentions. Could it be that he was genuinely interested in getting to know me as a friend, or was there something more behind his actions?
One evening, while sitting alone in my living room, my phone buzzed, indicating a new message. I glanced at the screen and saw it was from Toby. My heart skipped a beat as I opened the message.
“Hey Grace, hope you’re doing well. I enjoyed our little conversation the other day. How about we grab a coffee sometime and get to know each other better? Just as friends, of course.”
His message surprised me. Despite my reservations, I couldn’t help but feel a slight curiosity about him. Perhaps meeting him outside of the context of Wendy’s impending marriage would shed some light on his true intentions. After some contemplation, I decided to accept his invitation.
We agreed to meet at a local coffee shop the following afternoon. As I walked into the café, I noticed Toby already sitting at a corner table, sipping his coffee. He looked up and smiled as he saw me approaching.
“Grace, you made it!” he said, standing up to greet me. “Please, have a seat.”
We engaged in casual conversation, discussing our hobbies, interests, and life experiences. Toby seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me better, and I started to let go of my initial doubts. As the conversation flowed, I began to feel a connection with him that went beyond mere physical attraction.
Hours passed by unnoticed as we delved into deeper conversations about our dreams and aspirations. Toby opened up about his concerns regarding his upcoming marriage to Wendy, confessing that he had reservations about the union.
“I care for Wendy, but I can’t shake off this feeling that something is missing,” Toby confided.
