It was morning already and Amber was still
sleeping. I checked the time and it was 10:43am
why is she sleeping like a pregnant woman, I
have been watching her like. Almost
immediately I got a call from Williams.
“Say it”I said obviously am annoyed, why is he
calling me this early morning.
“Boss the goods is in the warehouse come
check it out”he said through the phone.
“Okay I will be coming in the next 30 minutes”I
said and I looked at Amber and she was still
sleeping like a baby.Of course she is my baby. I
called Betty to come and stay with Amber which
she agreed. Then I took my bath and left to the
warehouse.

I woke up with a ray of sunshine seeping
through the window curtains, I looked next to
me and found the bed empty, where is Hex, I
looked at the night stand and found a latter, I
opened it and read.
BABE, SORRY I LEFT COS SOMETHING CAME
UP, I KNOW YOU WILL BE LONELY SO I CALLED
BETTY TO SAY WITH YOU AND ANITA WILL
BRING YOU FOOD AND DON’T GO ANYWHERE.
LOVE YOU
I read the letter with a smile on my face and
almost immediately I heard a knock on the door
and I told the person to come in and it was
Anita.
“Good morning Amber your food is ready” Anita
said and dropped the food and almost
immediately Betty came in then Anita left.
“Hi Amber, Good morning”she smiled to me.
“Ummm hi”I said.
“Hex said I should come stay with you” she said
again.
“Yeah Henry told me you are coming”
“Wait you call Hex by his name and he didn’t do
anything to you, guess you are so special to
him” she said and I just smiled.
“I want you to tell me how you meet Hex, cos the
Hex I know before doesn’t sleep in the same bed
with a girl and now you are now in the same
house with him” Betty said.
And I took a deep breath, I don’t know but I feel
like I trust her.
“Well we have been dating for three years now” I
said and she opened her mouth in surprise.
And I explained to her how every thing
happened.
“Ohh am sorry for what you passed through, but
have you bothered finding the mask man” she
asked.
“No, and I don’t want to, he told me that he will
be monitoring my every move, and I know he
doesn’t know am in Italy now” I said.
“No Amber, the person might know because,
how can someone come to your house to kill
your parents and R@PE you and tell you to stay
away from Hex, that means that that person is
either very close to you or Hex” she said.
“You mean the person knows me and Henry??” I
asked.
“Can’t you see it, he called your name and Hex’s
name, so how did he know your name, try and
understand my point” Betty said.
And I was looking at the space thinking of what
Betty just said now, what if I use to see the
mask man everyday, what if he laughs with me.
Then I felt a hand on my shoulder
“Don’t think deeply about what I said, maybe the
person is Dead sef and we are here saying
rubbîsh, I don’t want you to think too much,
come let’s go”she said and dragged me up.
“Where we we going” I asked her.
“Let’s go help Anita with some chores”she said
and we went downstairs to help Anita with the
house chores.
We talked about many things, then after some
hours Hex came back and Betty left cos Hex
sent her for an errand.
I entered the room and found Hex on the bed
operating his phone that he didn’t even know
when I entered.
I stayed at the door staring at him.
“Will you stay there forever” he said still focused
on his phone.
“Wait how did you know am here”I asked
Stupîdly.
“Tell me why I won’t know when my girl entered”
he said and my cheeks turned red immediately.
“Come here” he signaled me to come which I
did. Then he dropped his phone and sat up then
made me sit on his leg.
“How was your day with Betty” he asked.
“Cool she is fun to be with”I said and
remembered the discussion we had some hours
ago.
“Henry can I ask you a question” I asked him
and he gave me a nod telling me to continue
with the question.
“Ummm what if the mask man is watching us, I
mean what if he is planning another evil.”I said.
Henry kept quiet for some time and then finial
spoke out.
“It will Better if that so called mask man hide
him self cos if he mistakenly show his self then
that is the end of him, you don’t have to think
too much because I already said I will protect
you even my last strength because I failed the
last time”he said and pècked me.
“Come let go look around the city”he said and
made me stand up from leg.
“Wait let me change”I said and he looked at me
from head to toe obviously looking at my dress.
“But there is nothing wrong with the dress, come
on let go” he said and dragged me like a baby.
Then came out of the mansion and entered the
car not knowing where we are going.
After some minutes we arrived at a big
restaurant. It was boldly written THE GALAXY.
We entered and went straight to the VIP section
and sat down and almost immediately the
waiter came.
“Hi welcome to THE GALAXY what are your
orders” the waiter said and handed us a menu.
“What will you like to eat”Hex asked me.
I looked through the menu and saw nothing
interesting.
“Macaroni and cheese”I said and the waiter
wrote it down and face hex.
“Just vodka”hex said and the waiter left.
“Why are you drinking alcohol, you are meant to
eat”I said and he smiled.
“I just feel like drinking”he said and almost
immediately the waiter came and dished out our
order and I started eating.
“Why don’t you like fried pork again”he asked
and I laughed.
“Wait you remember”I asked. Well fried pork was
my favorite back then but no more.
“Yes I remember when you steal money from
my bag just to buy fried pork” he said and I
smiled, am happy he never for once forget our
sweet memories.
“Well I eat it and I started having a running
stomach and since then I h@tëd it and for your
information I don’t steal your money” I said
pretending to be angry.
“Don’t lie you use to come to my class back
then, go to my bag just to say search for money
to use and buy pork but if I ask you, you will
deny it, so my classmate told me you where the
person coming to my bag, instead of cautioning
you about it I started putting extra money in my
bag” he explained and I opened my mouth in
shocked.
He laughed.
“Wait you think I don’t know, I just allowed you
to fool me” he said.
“Fine, fine you won”I said.
We discussed about many things and I after we
are done we left the restaurant.
But wait Hex did not pay for the food.
“Hex you didn’t pay for the food, let go back
before is late”I said thinking that his mind
skipped it.
And he smiled”what if I tell you am the owner of
this restaurant”he said and I looked at him.
“Yes baby girl am the owner so no need of
paying”he answered as if he read my mind.
Hex must be a billionaire for having this
expensive restaurant and am sure this is not the
only he has.
We entered the car and drive off, Hex was
behaving somehow maybe he is tipsy.
We arrived at the mansion and we came out of
the car and entered our room.
And I was forcely pushed to the wall.
“Hex what are you doing”I muttered but he didn’t
even say a word but started kissing me.
That enchanting kiss.
He pulled me close as he smooched the lips and
I felt him bit my tongue.
We unlocked from the kiss but I could see so
much desires in him so much desperation.
He cupped my cheeks in his hands.
I felt my heart beating rapidly.
“I want you, Amber” he said in deep breaths
which touched my face.
“I wanna get tight with you. Please…tell me
you’re re-ady”.
He reached for lips- and k!$$£d me so tenderly –
like he’s never done before.
He dipped his hands into my w@!st, ma-king me
shiver.
Then, suddenly he unlocked and stared at me in
the face, probably waiting for an answer.
I couldn’t say a word and he left me and started
walking away.
“Henry” I found myself calling out to me.
He stopped and looked at me, his eyes
drooping.
I gulped dryly and felt so nervous.
His eyes bored into mine, searching for
answers.
And in a shaky tone, I replied:
“I’m ready”.
