Chapter 75
(New Regime)
One Week Later
The whole clan member of Wolves Clan,
dressed in all black stood in the place
considered as cemetery for the desease clan
members. Three white coffins lay ahead, each
bearing the corpse of the dead members except
Kelvin, whose body was taken by the police, his
favorite sniper was placed within. They stared
at with sorrow in their heart, sadness in their
eyes, loosing three strong members of the clan
is disheartening.
“Everything that happens in this world happens
at the time God chooses. He sets the time for
birth nd the time for death, the time for planting
and the time for pulling up, the time for killing
and the time for healing, the time for tearing
down and the time for building.”
“He sets the time for sorrow and the time for
joy, the time for mourning and the time for
dancing, the time for silence and the time for
talk, the time for love and the time for h@të, the
time for war and the time for peace.”
Everyone watched in silence as one of the clan
member recited these verses, having different
thoughts in their minds. Evans glanced at Kyla
who was standing few feet away from him, he
could behold the sad look on her face, not just
sadness, but mixed with anger. She fold and
unfolds her fist each time a verse is noted.
Moonlight sniffed in, trying to hold in the
threating tears about leaving her eyes. She
decided to leave the scene, not holding it any
longer. Autumn and Jayden looked her
direction.
“Go after her” Jayden whispered to her. Autumn
nodded, going after Moonlight.
The corpse were laid to rest after the normal
rites, as the coffins were placed into each
graves. The members came to pay their last
respect, dropping a handful of sands into the
graves before it was finally covered.
Kyla heave a soft sigh, turning to address them.
“Its a great loss for the Wolves Clan, such as
this haven’t happened in a long time, may their
souls rest in peace.” She paused, and
continued.
The Blood Clan had done this, they wouldn’t
leave our death book, we not attacking yet
doesn’t make us foolish, we need to mourn the
death of our comrades, but when the time
comes for the clan to be erased off this earth,
we the Wolves will strike again. Donald won’t go
scott free, he never will”

Jade watch as some maids arrange few clothes
into a small bag, preparing for her trip. She
doesn’t feel quite good about all this, the fact
that they are being in a rush is giving her chills,
like she is about doing a wrong thing. They left
after few minutes; she sighed, walking towards
the mirror, checking herself out. She looked
beautiful, truly.
She touched her tummy trying to feel a slight
movement of the baby but got none.
“It’s still three weeks” her subconscious mind
noted. She pressed her lips together, laughing at
her stupidity. The door opened as Amazon
stepped in. One look at her, one will think she
just recovered from a dreaded sickness, she
looked pale from pain and depression.
“Hi” Jade muttered, waving with a smile.
Amazon’s face looked familiar to her, but she
simply ignore that fact. The latter frown, glaring
hard at her.
“You’re so dumb, I hope you recover your
memory in time” she snarled, though not
harshly. Jade’s lips felt heavy to speak, she
couldn’t understand what she meant by that.
Amazon walked out without saying more words.

Don’s Suite ★
“Is the jet ready?” Don asked, holding his phone
to his ear as he continued the conversation he is
having with one of his men
The door opened revealing Mercury, she
stepped in, waiting for him to end the call before
speaking.
“Hey” Don noted, Turning to face her. She
sighed. “Why are we still keeping her?’ She
asked with folded arms. “How is your leg now?”
He asked, referring to the bullet wound which
was yet to heal up properly, slightly ignoring her
questions.
“I know you are trying to wave my question”
she replied, working towards his desk where he
keeps his cigarettes. He smirked
“You should know why I want her alive, she is
of great use to our clan against the Wolves.” He
noted
“Then why do you want to take her out of the
country, isn’t she safe here?”
“No she not…you wouldn’t know what Lady
Mafia have in store”
Mercury scoffed. She isn’t in agreement with
this idea, she doesn’t want to set her eyes on
any of the Wolves clan members, she feel
disgusted by them
“What if she regains her memory, she had just a
slight crack, there is a high tendency that she
will regain her memory soon”.
Don chuckled
“What do you take me for…a dumb boss, nope.
She has been injected, and it will continue that
way, her memory will forever be lost, cause with
that liquid injected into her body, she will never
regain her memory” he replied, wearing a jacket
over his shirt. He placed a soft kiss on her lips
“Don’t miss me too much, take care of the clan
while I’m away”
She nods. “Trust me…when will you be back?”
“Perhaps in too weeks time…I got other things
to do though…my dad’s company is at stake,
some bastards are trying to snatch it…gotta
show them who Don is, a lion wouldn’t bore a
goat.”
He winked, leaving the room.

“Where are you going” Raphael asked, as Evans
took off his shirt changing into another one.
“To see Kyla” he replied, taking out his shoes
“You wouldn’t give her a break…kinda strange
how you both got this close” he stated. Evans
smirked.
“It’s kinda strange how we got to talk this way..
we don’t talk much before so?”
“You know what I’m talking about Evans”
Ok
“Yea I know..” he shrugged. “Let’s say it’s what
it’s meant to be..and I ain’t stressing her by
going to see her. She needs someone to be there
for her, especially this trying times. Just
because she is the boss doesn’t mean she isn’t
human…she is.” He noted. Raphael nods.
“You’re lucky..,” he simply noted. Evans smiled
in response before going out.
He walked into Kyla’s suite meeting her room
door slightly ajar. She was sitting on the floor
still in the cloth she wore earlier on, backing the
door. He saw her stiffen when he entered
“I want to be alone” her voice stopped him from
going further.
“You shouldn’t be…you need to be with
someone… someone you love” he added. She
tilted her head sideward, not looking at him but
saw his figure from the side of her teary eyes.
She sniffed in, exhaling.
“I feel like a failure..all my life I have never felt
this way” she stated. He saw this as a welcome
note, going further to sit beside her. “You
shouldn’t say that…you are a strong lady, not a
weakling…” He sighed, thinking of what might
have triggered that expression from her
“Is this about Jade?” She gulped in, frowning.
“It’s been a week”
“I know…I know you miss her…you will get to
see her again…trust me, she’s gonna come
back for us…”
“This is not about her coming back…I just..
don’t know what I did wrong..I have been good
to her, trying to please her at all cost…I just…I
don’t wanna talk about it” she sob, sniffing in.
“Here..just let it out” he drew her into a brief
hug, patting her back. She seems to cry freely
only with Evans present, she wouldn’t do this
around her men.
“It’s ok” Evans whispered. She pulled out of the
hug. “Thanks”
He nodded “You are welcome” Silence took in
for awhile, not until she broke it.
“Perhaps I’m the cause of all this…of Wizard’s
death..I feel worst than Luna, she made rules, I
broke it..now I see the reason behind her rules.
“What happened to Luna…how did she end?”
He asked. Kyla hesitated for a while before
replying.
“I killed her” she replied icily. “It’s..just…I didn’t
know what possess me that day..I couldn’t
control myself. Luna is a b!tch..she always get
what she wants but couldn’t get it that
day…cos I ended her wishes and dreams,
making her blood drain. I was such a monster.”

Flash Back★
Luna scoffed, folding her arms as she stared
fiercely at Kyla, who stood opposite her, with her
hands down.
“Did you just hiss at me…huh” Luna snapped,
her eyes depicting anger. She laughed out
hilariously, turning to stare at Jade who was
also in the same room. Jade looked away,
trying not to avoid her face.
“Wh@tëver….just know that you will be
punished later on, for that act of disrespect..get
prepared, you are going on your next job
tonight…we gat two clients, you will take Jade
with you” she noted. Jade shivered, she knew
the kind of job Luna was sending them to do.
“I’m not doing it” Kyla voiced out, trying not to
act nervous. Her voice shook at the first
sentence, her palms got sweaty as she folds her
fist, loosing them afterward.
“Did you say something?” Luna asked taking
menace steps closer. She thought she heard
wrong. Kyla looked up to her this time, regaining
courage.
“I said, I would not do it…neither is Jade” she
snapped. Luna scoffed. She felt a pang in her
head which shouldn’t be. Her fingers made way
into her hair ruffling it a bit, her eyes didn’t
break contact with that of Kyla.
“Did you just disobey my order…huhn… Kyla”
Luna roared. Kyla looked away
.
“You wouldn’t shout this much if you ain’t deaf,
you heard me right…not I or Jade will carry out
such unholy act anymore…we are done..” Kyla
raised her voice.
“Kyla please…” Jade pleased, with fear clearly
visible on her face. She knows the implication
of what Kyla is doing, and wouldn’t want to get
on Luna’s black book. She gulped in.
“Did you just raised your voice at
me…huhn…you good for nothing bas***d”
Luna snapped.
“I am not a bas***d” Kyla gritted, she couldn’t
control herself anymore. She felt this surge of
anger she hadn’t felt in her lifetime running
down her veins.
“What did you say?” Luna asked, closing up the
remaining space. “You heard me….” Kyla was
yet to complete her statement when a striking
slap landed on her face.
“You are such a whore, a disrespectful one….”
Luna gritted. A little blood tickled out of the
wound on her lips, caused by the slap. She
could taste the sour taste of the blood in her
mouth, sending dagger glares at Luna.
“You slapped me” she noted in a deadly tone.
“And I’m gonna do that over and over again if
you don’t learn to keep your silly mouth shut. I
am your boss, you should take all my orders
and never in your lifetime complain of any. It’s
not like your body is a Virgin…you are a small
little ratty whore, and your job is to pleasure our
client..get that” she snapped, speaking loudly
into her face.
Kyla’s rage grew to the highest point, she grip
Luna forcefully by the throat, choking her. The
latter sent a quick kick to her stomach, sending
a blow to her jaw with her arm. Kyla staggered
backward regaining her stance. She strike again,
kicking Luna’s chest with force, making the
latter crumble into a pile of books.
“Kyla!” Jade exclaimed, getting scared of the
whole fight. Kyla shouldn’t have ignite a fight,
she thought, not wanting to get involved in the
fight.
Picking Luna from the ground, Kyla threw her
across the room, but the former was quick to
retaliate, punching her jaw hard, her lips bled
again. She used the opportunity in beating up
Kyla, who dodges each blows sent across her
face. Luna being the one dominating, was
above her, giving Kyla no chance to retaliate.
On realizing the fact that a little dagger was
stuck behind her pant, she pulled it out,
stabbing Luna in her tummy.
“Kyla…” Jade exclaimed, taking few steps
backward. “Die b!tch” Kyla growled, stabbing
her further. Luna grip Kyla’s hair with the last
strength in her, pulling it. “You murderer…” She
whispered deadly to her, before strength starts
leaving her. Kyla pulled out the knife with force,
making her body drop to the ground.
“Kyla…what have you done?” Jade asked in
panic. They both stare sat Luna’s almost
lifeless body.
“This is what she deserves…she has ruled
enough..now is the time to end it all” her voice
sounded different, more like a gentle monster.
Jade shivered staring at her.
“We are gonna be killed for this….let’s rush her
to the clinic…”
“Shh…” Kyla stopped her. “I’m not done yet”
she noted, bending towards Luna’s head as she
grip her hair tightly. “Don’t tell me it’s what I’m
thinking” Jade mumbled, Kyla smirked, placing
the sharp knife on Luna’s neck.
“Goodbye to forever land Luna…it will be nice if
you kiss the devil’s a$$ for me..” And with her
last statement, she slit Luna’s neck, chopping
her head off
“Arghh…Kyla ..” Jade snapped out, about
running out.
“You wouldn’t take another step” Kyla voiced
out….her voice sent chills into Jade’s system
making her stop.
“The boss is dead… there is no much need to
panic” Kyla’s assured her
“Her men will ki*ll us…they surely will”
“They won’t….cos I, Kyla Leonard will be the
next boss..so as from today, you will address
me as boss” Kyla seethed, Jade gulped in,
nothing giving a reply at first.
“Are we cleared, Jade” Kyla asked, as she nods.
“Yes Boss” she responded.
“Good…now, we are gonna go out there in the
open square and announce the murder of
Luna…as I take charge over what has always
been mine…the Clan.” She exclaimed, holding
up the bleeding head to her face level, staring at
it with disgust.
