“Now, where were we?” Alice asked with a dangerous grin, her eyes glows the more.

The dragon release more fire, intense than before. Fear kicking into it. When the fire stops, the dragon was surprised not to see her there anymore.
Its eyes dart around quickly, finding her.
“Over here” Alice voice sounded below it.
Before the dragon could look down, Alice fist collided with its jaw. The lightening made her hit dangerously strong.
The force pushed the dragon backward and if it fell over. Just one hit from her?
The dragon roared in pain as its back hit the ground hard with shook as if an earthquake just occur.
Alice landed before its face, her eyes and skin still glowing and the streaks of lightening still sorrounded her.
The dragon growled in fear.
*Don’t kill me*
Alice face dropped when she understood its language. “Huh?”
*Please don’t kill me, I was only doing what I was ask to do*
Alice anger dissipate, her body return back to normal. She was now staring at the dragon with an unreadable look.
“Even at that, you still don’t have the right to put one’s life into your hands” She said, her voice still filled with power.
*I was forced to. She’ll kill me if I don’t*
Alice stared at it for long while. Just then something clicked in her mind.
“I’ll spare your life if you serve me” Alice said.
The dragon’s eyes lit up with hope.
*Of course. I don’t like my current master and I’ll be delighted to serve you*
Alice took slow steps towards the dragon. Reaching it, she placed her palm on its forehead. The dragon slowly closed its eyes and a huge wind began swirling around them.

(PALACE)
Saverina ran towards the barrier with the aim of going in but it pushed her back. She fell hard on the floor, but stood up almost immediately. She ran towards the barrier and the same thing happened.
“Stop trying, it’s pointless, we can’t go in” Derek said.
“I can’t and I won’t. Not until I see my friend” She said. Groaning, she ran towards the barrier hitting it with much force than before. The barrier threw hard against the wall.
“Hey, you’ll kill yourself” Derek said. He sighed worriedly remembering Delilah’s word.
‘No human has ever survived’
Saverina tried to stand up but her aching body made her groan in pain. She felt a warm liquid trickling down her nose. Touching it, she saw blood.
Saverina sighed, she must have overused her power. Her body might break down if she doesn’t rest.
She looked up to the barrier which was still there before her. The barrier would have disappeared if Alice died. At least she has some hope.
“You better survived Alice” Saverina muttered.
Just then a crack sound could heard. Saverina face lit up as the crack continue. Derek stood up right and he walked close.
Barrier broke and Alice body fell to the floor unconsciously.
“Alice!” Saverina exclaimed as she ran to hold her body.
“Her body burning” Saverina exclaimed when she touched Alice skin.
Derek walked towards them and carried Alice in a bridal style and took her to the bathtub. He asked to maid to fill cold water into it.
“I’ll take it from here” Saverina said.
Derek nodded and went to search for Zameil. He found him asleep. Pheadra was dozing off already.
“Hey mate” Derek called softly as he pecked her cheek, her eyes met with his as she opened them. “C’mon you should go and rest”
“No, I want to stay here with you” Phaedra said.
“But I’m all bloody, I’ll…”
“I don’t care. I was really scared, please” she said.
Without another word, Derek nodded and sat beside her. He made her head rest on his shoulder. Phaedra felt inhaled his scent and slept off that way.

The sun was rising up already. The guards and maid were busy cleaning up the palace and its sorrounding. It’s is going to take at least two days before they could finish.
Saverina woke up from her sleep, her eyes fluttering open. As she look back at Alice she saw Zameil sitting beside her while staring at her face. Saverina eyes widened with surprise.
“When did you…” She stammered.
“I just got here” Zameil replied before she could finish her question. His eyes erw
“How’s your chest?” Saverina asked lightly after a while.
Zameil’s face squeeze little as he touched his chest.
“It still hurt but not like before” He stared at Alice’s face as if studying her “She survived”

(NEXT DAY)
In the large luxurious room bathed in gold. Queen Delphine pour a cup of wine for the king. Before them was Augustus, he stood with his arms behind him.
They all had their rest yesterday. The wounded ones are been currently treated.
“Thank you dear” The king said to Queen Delphine. He reached for the drink and took a large sip, a satisfying groan exuded his lip.
The king raised his head to look at Augustus. “The war was really rough and hard. I’m so proud on how you had bravely led your men to overcome the enemies”
“It’s my honor your majesty” Augustus bowed.
The Queen let out a proud smile.
“However, I was expecting more from you. It seems your brother Zameil took most of it under control with Derek and the pack by their side. They killed many men and even invented another weapon.. haha” The king laughed, his mood was bright.
The Queen’s smile disappeared as she slowly turn her head to the king.
“Isn’t that a good news. There are talks all over the palace that Zameil was the one who made Delilah retreat. He had surprised me so well. You should call him. I’d like to have a word with him” The king said to Augustus. Winning this war was like a trophy to the king. He can now flaunt with his victory in other kingdoms.
Unknown to the king, each word that he had just said Pierced through Augustus’s heart. The Queen was boiling inside already.
“He is with his bride. His bride haven’t woken up since the war” Augustus said.
“Oh..” The king blinked, he had no idea about Alice. “Then I’ll reach him once his bride wakes up”
He slowly stood up. Queen Delphine stood before him.
“Your Majesty.. I…”
“Don’t interfere” The king said, pushing Queen Delphine aside gently and walked out.
Queen Delphine faced Augustus with an angry look.
“Look what you’ve done” she spat.
“I tried my best mother..”
“Quiet!” She cut in. “How could you have made Zameil win more point? The ministers even testified that you allowed so many soldiers to head east instead of trying to protect the palace. And what the hell were you doing when Zameil was busy creating a weapon to destroy the enemies? With your darn mistress?!! Don’t be surprised when Zameil takes everything from you” she said with gritted teeth and walked out to follow the king.

The physician just finished changing Eleanor’s bandage. She was healing too fast which got the physicians a bit curious.
“I’ve never seen a human healing so fast”
“The burn is almost cleared, that’s strange”
The physicians whispered among themselves as they walked out.
Eleanor could hear them. She sighed and look over to Mirabel sit around the corner while Macbeth stay beside her.
“Mirabel, come closer” Eleanor said, her voice weak.
“No. Is your body feeling alright?” Mirabel asked.
“Yes, please come closer sweetheart” Eleanor same calmly.
“Not after you’ve been lying to me” Mirabel said hurtfully.
“I.. I couldn’t tell you about it Mira. You’re too young” She said.
“Then why does Macbeth has powers too?”
“Macbeth” Eleanor was shocked as she looked down to the second twins. “You were the one who stole the book”
“I.. I.. can explain” Macbeth stuttered.
Mirabel yelled again. “What are we mom? What’s in that book? What..” Mirabel took a deep breath. “What really happened to father, I feel like you’ve been someone else the whole time”
Eleanor eyes teared up. “Y..you won’t understand. Please give me more time Mirabel.. please”
Mirabel shook her head and ran out of the place.
“Mirabel!!” Eleanor yelled after her. She broke down in tears afterwards.
Macbeth could only bite her lips.

Alice eyes finally flutters open. Her head hurts a little and her sight blurry. She look down and saw Zameil sleeping with his head on the bed. His hand holding hers.
Alice’s lips curled up to a smile, her sight observing his calm face. Come to think of it, what the hell happened to her that made her unconscious?
She tried to think for an answer but Zameil soft groan caught back her attention. He slowly looked up to her, and his eyes opened wide.
“Alice?” He called, drawing his face closer. His face was paled, his hair messy and eyes red resulted from lack of sleep.
“Zameil” Alice called, her voice a bit weak. She watch him let out a sigh of relief.
“What happened huh? How come you’ve been sleeping since yesterday morning” he asked and Alice blinked in surprise.
“Since yesterday?” Alice gasped. “Why have I been sleeping since yesterday?”
“I don’t know. What happened with you and Delilah’s Pet?” He asked lightly.
“Huh?” Alice frowned. Right, the war. Delilah caught her and then she disappeared before finding herself waking up here. “I just found myself here” Alice said.
“You don’t remember what happened in where she had sent you?”
Alice tried to remember but nothing came up.
“Okay, it’s alright” Zameil said raising his finger to her chin.
“What happened with Baal?” She asked.
“I kinda control it but Delilah escaped unfortunately” Zameil replied. Alice breath out in relief.
“You must hungry” Zameil said. Alice stomach growled afterward.
“Yeah, I can eat the whole palace” she said and they both chuckled.
It took a while before the maids could finally serve the dishes before Alice. Zameil haven’t tell the others so she won’t be bother. He wanted her to eat first.
Surprisingly Alice was eating slow.
“Are you not hungry?” Zameil asked.
“I am but I do not feel like eating”
“Are you not feeling well”
“I’m fine, I just feel full” Alice said.
A guard came into the room and bow. “The king asked for you your highness”
Zameil sighed and look back at Alice, “I’ll be right back”
Alice held his arm. “I’m coming with you”
“Uh, no you’re still weak” Zameil refused.
“I’m fine, I feel strong.. look” Alice said lifting up her sleeve. She tighten her fist showing up her small muscle.
Zameil chuckled at her action. His smile was handsome.

Getting to the large hall, Zameil’s hand was holding Alice’s tightly. They saw the king talking to Derek and Phaedra.
“You’ve just proven yourself Derek. You can now have my daughter” The king said.
“Really?!” Phaedra exclaimed. The king nodded, and Phaedra immediately hugged him. “Thanks grandfather”.
Hearing, the word ‘Grandfather’ The king felt touched. Phaedra has never called him that before.
He looked at Derek as soon as the break the hug. “Take care of her”
Derek pulled Phaedra. “I will.. and I’ll protect her no matter what” His eyes went straight to Augustus standing not far away. He gave Augustus a victorious smirk.
“Thank you your majesty” Derek bowed deeply to the king. The queen only scoffed.
Riya was watching not to far away. Seeing Zameil and Alice hand intertwined, she felt irritated.
“Alice, you’re awake” Phaedra said when they saw Alice.
“I’m glad you’re alright” Derek said to Alice and she nodded.
Zameil walked towards the king and made bow to him. “You called, your majesty”
The king’s face got brighter. Zameil couldn’t help but wonder if the king was drunk. He had never smiled to him this way.
The king walked towards Zameil and placed both hands on his shoulder. “I was so proud of what you did at the war and I’m going reward you”
Reward?!
“From now my son, you are now the Duchy of Ammon” The king said and Zameil felt all of these was a dream.
Did the king just call him son and then offer him a high position. The only person who going to be superior than him will be the king and the crown prince, Augustus.
“Huh?”
Is the king really drunk?!
“You heard me right. The kingdom need someone smart and high intelligent to protect them. I’m sure you’ll be a great person to be on your brother’s side once he ascend the throne” The king said.
“Father.. I don’t think that’s necessary.. there are more people who can do..” Augustus speak.
“Are you saying my decision is wrong?” The king asked.
“I dare not your majesty”
“You should learn from Zameil instead. It’s going to make you a better king” The king said.
The word struck Augustus hard, his breath became hard for him.
The Queen whose face look like a ghost quickly said. “I also don’t think this is necessary. You should think about this over my dear”
The King ignored her. He had realized he mostly follow her words.
“Your Majesty..” Zameil couldn’t believe the man who had been ignoring his talent the whole year now acknowledge him all of a sudden.
“It’s okay if you don’t want but I wish it to be you” The king said.
Zameil looked back at Alice who gave him a nod. Accepting it would mean, he will now be respected in the whole kingdom. He’ll be the leader of the kingdom’s political and military affair.
“Your Majesty… I..” Zameil looked up to Queen Delphine and Augustus. These two mostly find a way to torture him right from when he was a kid. Maybe this is meant for him.
Their eyes were begging for him to say no.
“I accept the reward you” Zameil said. The king smiled widely.
“A feast will be holding tomorrow evening for your success. Congratulations” The king said.
The Queen could’nt help but almost explode. She rushed into her room and let out her anger.
Her room caught fire instantly!
