CLUB RIO ~ FRESHMEN PARTY
“Thanks nurse, keep an eye on him and let me know every little detail” Andrew spoke into the reciever as he got out of the car.
As always, he stole the attention of most of the students there and that’s something he’s used to.
Ignoring the admiring looks sent his way, he walk into the club, talked to the organiser and went to join Donovan and Francis.
“We thought you weren’t going to come” Donovan said as he took his seat.
“I was at the hospital” Andrew replied.
“Hope everything is alright?” Francis asked and Andrew gave a nod.
“As always, he’s still in a deep sleep” Andrew said, referring to his older brother.
“Cheer up man, he’s going to wake up sooner than you expect” Francis said to comfort him but Andrew found it hard to believe.
“William is staying with him at the hospital” Francis asked.
“Sure” Andrew replied downing his Martini.
“Let’s stop talking about sad things and try to cheer up. This is a party and we should party” Donovan said in excitement.
“Have you figured out what to do?” Francis asked suddenly.
“Figure what out?”
“What to do about that Chinese chick. The one who confess her feeling to you this afternoon” Donovan remind him.
“We do nothing. I h@të girls like her” Andrew refilled his glass and was about downing it again when Donovan let out a whistle and said.
“I guess you won’t be able to h@të her when she’s dressed like that”
Andrew followed his gaze to the entrance and there was Lucy and her friends, all dressed to kill at the party.
Andrew mouth went open as he stared at Lucy’s long leg, clad in a black legging due to the shorts she was wearing.
“I really do like this Lucy, she knows how to fight for what she wants” Donovan compliment.
“And what she wants is right here. It’s best you give her a chance” Francis whispered into Andrew ear.
That made him look away from Lucy. He glared at his friends who gave him a naughty smirk in return.
On the other hand, Lucy felt a bit shy in her get up.
“It’s okay sis, you look perfect just like a seductress” Steve said.
“And besides you are dressed to impress someone. Speaking of someone, have you seen Andrew?” Mary asked.
“He’s at the fifth table with his friends” Bonnie who had also dress for tonight’s outfit looked more attractive than usual.
“What’s the essence of this dress when he wouldn’t even look at me” Lucy let out as she kept starring at Andrew who was in deep conversation with his friends.
“Don’t worry sis Lucy, you will end up being the centre of attention tonight”
“What’s your plan Steve?” Mary asked but Steve was already heading to where the MC was.
He whispered something into his ear and return to them.
“Hey, what did you tell that dude?” Mary demanded.
“Nothing that concerns you and also sis Lucy, you can sing, right?” Steve asked and she nodded in reply.
The MC took over, stealing everyone attention until it got to the karaoke part.
“Now a second year student will like to express her love to a guy by singing a song to him. Let’s welcome Lucy Bai on the stage” the MC said startling Lucy and Immediately, Steve got up to walk her to the podium.
“Thinkin Bout You by Ciara ” Steve mouth at her before going back to his seat.
Lucy stood on the podium feeling a bit nervous and when the song began, she found it hard at first but one look at Andrew brought out the brave part in her and she began to flow with the song.

She kept on singing and gyrating to the music, her gaze on Andrew who couldn’t look away from her.
“This girl is completely crazy about you” Francis said.
“And she’s hot too. I thought Chinese girls to be all stick and broom but Lucy here has proven me wrong. You will be missing if you let this babe go” Donovan added and Andrew mind which was going crazy with all sort of things finally breathe in.
“I need to use the rest room” Andrew got up and left the room wondering why it felt so hot inside.
“Do you think Lucy is really interested in Andrew?” Francis asked as they joined in the claps and screams for Lucy when she ended the song.
“Who cares? All that matter is that that hot babe is interested in him, I wouldn’t mind having one of Lucy friends either” Donovan said and Francis followed his gaze to see him starring at Bonnie who was screaming out in excitement.
“Never have I seen her smile like that… she’s beautiful ” On hearing Donovan say that, the smile on Francis face died.
“That Bîtch!” Giselle who was also present with her friends hit the table in anger.
“The school weirdo is slowly stealing into the hearts of everyone ” Stella, one of her close friend said.
“I think that she’s aiming for Andrew, she kept looking at him through out her little charade” Lorraine added jealously.
“If she’s going after Andrew then what about Giselle?” Stella asked.
“She’s definitely not going to take Andrew from me, I won’t let that happen” Giselle vowed and left her seat.

MALE RESTROOM
As soon as Andrew walk out of the rest room, he met Giselle waiting outside.
“Can I have a word with you?” Giselle asked as she stood in his path.
“Am busy”
“Are you dating Lucy?” Giselle said behind him and that made him stop in his track.
“What makes you think that?”
“The kiss and just a moment ago, she was singing for you. You like her don’t you?” Giselle asked.
“Do I owe you an explanation?”
“Yes. You’ve always been cold to other girls, you never give them a chance to get close to you but then… You let her do. That’s unfair and….”
“You don’t get to tell me what’s fair or not!” He shouted, startling Giselle.
“Then prove to me that you are not interested in her” Giselle said not giving up either.
She’s been in love with him for years now and she’s not going to give him up.
“Go to hell”
“I will right after I send Lucy first” Giselle said and that made him stop once again.
“What do you mean by that?”
“I plan on teaching Lucy a lesson and don’t worry, I won’t be killing her. I just want to scare her off your back and I promise that she’s not going to disturb you ever again” Giselle said and left him standing there…..
