Soon Sophia was in the emergency room with Alaric pacing the hospital halls. He rubbed his forehead in anger looking at the light which was still red.
Lucas who was beside his boss stood like a statue not dareing to say a word.
“Leave no stone unturned, Lucas find them in every Fuçking way you can. I want results” Alaric glared at the poor Lucas who gulped before looking down to make sure he didn’t wet his pants.
Ah, it wasn’t his fault, he is just a mere worker.
“Understand!”
“Understood sir”
Alaric looked at the emergency room whose light finally turned off.
Sophia was wheeled out and Alaric rushed to her side with a straight face.
“She is in perfect health with the baby but with the state of things, it seems she might enter a depressed mode, the only way to get out of this state for her is a trigger for her to come back or… taking it slow to pick up her brokenness” Ronald insisted. They never advices people on the first part as it is very risky but due to Ronald knowing Alaric would do just fine with the two options, he said them fully.
“Is the first option very risky?”
“She could easily die if the trigger hits her wrong”
Alaric said nothing in reply and instead walked to the side of his wife with a frown on his beautiful face as he rubbed her hair.
The door was pushed open by Mrs Quinn who looked at her daughter in-law with tears in her eyes.
“I told you to protect her, if you want to protect her it alco means protecting her family. Is this how you do your job of protecting your wife?” Now the woman who always held a smile on her face had anger written as the bottle in her hand was squeezed with a great force.
Alaric looked away glaring at the wall knowing he didn’t dare to glare at his mother.
“Answer me you Fuçking eggplant” Mrs Quinn screamed stumping her feet on the floor.
“You are making noise”
Now Alaric deared to glare at her but instead he was hit hard accross the face. His face became tense and his muscles clentched as everywhere suddenly sounded silent but before he could recover he felt a sudden pain down south and he held his manhood, dropping to the floor.
He looked at his mother who raised her leg again to hit him right in the chest, knowing he won’t dodge her attack and how strong his system and hold for pain was she couldn’t help but hit him harder than she wanted to.
Watching him fall to the floor holding his chest, she flipped her hair like a superhero sighing in content.
Looking at her son who was still lying down in a daze she felt so frustrated she pulled her shoes off and stoned her son with it.
“Ah” Alaric groaned covering his face with his hand to make sure he wouldn’t be hit on the face.
Finally feeling more pleased Mrs Quinn walked barefooted to caress her daughter in-laws cheek’s softly.
Her gentle mother gaze would have made the girl cry with happiness if she was awake but sadly she hadn’t woken up.
The heart monitor was the only thing making a sound in the silent room, alaric had stood up already and he was now wiping his body with h@të in his eyes.
His cleaniness obsession made him feel like drowning himself in sanitizer or wetwipes.
Mrs Quinn looked at her son who was cleaning his glasses and a hint of sadness flashed through her eyes. If only his eyes were perfect, he wouldn’t have been so insecure around Sophia.
Thinking because he was partially disabled she could leave him anytime, but she knew according to her findings about their every day routine her daughter in law could never leave her son.
The silly woman doesn’t even realize she has feelings for Alaric.
“I have to go, your father mustn’t get a whiff of me coming to look after your wife”
“And how is he?”
“Same as always, but be careful…it seems he is planning something big, I’ll tell you about the details later afterall the walls have ears”
“I’d tell two guards to escort you off”
“You don’t need to do that I’d leave myself, just make sure she is fine. Let’s meet some other day, I’ve obviously extended my stay enough”
“Where did you tell him you are?”
“Someone is putting on my exact clothes and impersonating me at the Grand Dulez mall, I should be there in the next five minutes and exchange with her”
“Seems you’ve gotten smarter”
“I was always smart, else who did you get your genes from?” After Mrs Quinn chuckled she left quickly.
Alaric looked at the girl one last time before going outside the hospital to smoke.
He stood under her window looking at her window while smoking under the tree. With a puff he looked around before casually looking back at the window to notice the figure standing at the edge and his heart dropped.
“Stop, Sophia please” Alaric yelled rushing towards the window as the girl fell.
His hand wrapped around her int time as he rolled on the floor, his head his the decorative stones while he used his frame to cover the little girl in his arms.
Everything stopped.
Sophia whose hazy eyes finally cleared looked at the man who was lying unconscious beneath her with blood oozing out of the back of his head.
