CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: THANATOS MANSION ( LOSING HER SIGHT )
Chloe slowly open her eyes, look around for awhile, close it right back and try to gather her thoughts while listening to the conversation.
” You got married!!!” Someone yelled, a male voice
” That is not the important part ”
” To two sisters??” That voice growl again ” without inviting me?”
” Asmodeus, that is not the really horrible part right now ” Thanatos voice break in ” I am married to Chloe!!”
Silence remain for few minutes before Asmodeus speak ” am I supposed to know this girl, right now she is half dead and why, why do she look so dark!!!!! The aura around her is too dangerous ” I frown at those words, what do he mean? ” I mean you getting married to humans? Do you know what hades will think?”
” Why should I be bothered about hades?” Thanatos growl ” the last person I need to think about right now is him ”
” Could this be a way of bringing you back?” Asmodeus voice got low ” back to hell?”
Hearing all these made me finally open my eyes, what do he mean by back to hell? Does that mean am sent to drag an angel to hell? All these doesn’t make sense, do Thanatos know who I am? What my purpose is?
” You’re awake ” I look left and notice him and right behind him, Asmodeus stood there….why is all these men that good looking, he literally has white short hair and blue Fuçking eyes.
” Do you feel okay?” Asmodeus move closer and touch my forehead, is it just me or is he oozing sëxiness , he shoot me furrow brows and I clear my throat.
” Do not touch her ” Thanatos grab his hands and pull him away from him ” you stay away from my wife ” he growl which made me frown, Asmodeus found it rather funny, I caught him laughing.
” I was just checking on her health ”
” I know all what you think about ”
” So can I touch the other?” Asmodeus smile ” just this night?”
” Indeed ”
” She is pure isn’t she?”
” That’s correct” I sit up and watch them talk about Freya like some object ” do me a favour and get rid of all the blood stain, I don’t do well with that ”
” I might as well claim her ”
” She will soon lose her young virtue”
” That will make her absolutely rubbish”
I couldn’t understand a single word, if he is not interested in Freya, why marry her? He seem so cold and less bothered with the fact that his friend will be sleeping with his wife.
Don’t tell me that he will also allow….I gasp and cover my body with my hands ” you wouldn’t” I mumble after Asmodeus left and he lift his brows high at my reaction.
” Do you really think I will let someone else touch you?”
” Yes ” I mumble ” I don’t see a reason why you will treat me differently ”
” Chloe ” he pull out a chair from the side way, close to the bed drawer, sit on it and look at me ” I told you, you belong to me, I never said so to Freya ”
” So why did you marry her?”
” To annoy you ”
” Why!!!”
” Because you fancy another man ” he frown ” I told you Chloe, you are not allowed to look elsewhere ”
” What are you saying?”
” From now on am the only one allowed to hurt you, I will protect you from everyone else but they is absolutely no one to protect you from me ” he isn’t smiling, not even the slightest ” when I say I would hurt you, trust me….I would ”
” I don’t understand what you mean” I frown ” why do you seem so angry with me?”
” Angry?” He scoffed ” what is there to make me angry, when you’re an absolute angel ”
” Lord Thanatos”
” One more thing ” he mumble ” we will not be sharing a bedroom ”
” What do you mean?” I furrow my brows ” we have to be together forever ”
” Forever” his eyes twitch ” that is a long time ”
” Okay fine ” I smile ” until I die ” I try to move closer but felt pain on my belly side, that accident must have been too much, the pains aren’t going away.
” And what if you’re to die in ten centuries time?”
” Then we have to be together” I smile and he frown
” Not happening ” Thanatos shake his head ” while we are together, you need to find a way to get rid of all those demons ”
” I have tried ” mumbling, I look at him ” they isn’t any other option than you, can’t you see that we are tied together?” He suddenly look distant, like I hit some kind of nail on his head ” so you have to let me stay with you, I don’t like seeing those demons, they scare me ”
” Hmmm”
” I will do anything” and after saying that, I completely regretted because his eyes light up.
” Anything?” He smile ” do I have your word?”
” Yes but if…”
He shake his head ” no buts ” I watch how he look at me strangely before forming his words, is he going to ask me not to touch him again? Isn’t that getting too old for this day, it’s obvious I will try to get under his skin ” you will stay ten inches away from me ” I nod my head but his next sentence shock me ” you will permit me to touch you whenever I feel like ”
I look at him ” that’s not fair ” frowning, he stood up, touch my forehead and immediately, I could feel all the injuries I had go away…. looking up to meet his gaze, I just couldn’t figure out what kind of person he is ” do you fancy me?” I ask
” You make me curious Chloe ” I watch him smile ” just like how I love your singing ”
” Lord Thanatos” I stand up from the bed and he drop his hands from my head ” why do you always act suspicious, why do you act kind one minute and then wicked the next?” I move closer and he didn’t step back ” why were you cold to me earlier, you left me all alone to die !!!”
” The truth do stink a little” he smile, is he back to his usual fake smiling nature ” what do you propose to do with you, since you’re my wife ” I watch him swipe the smile from his face ” that was exhausting ”
” Lord Thanatos ”
” I have been absent from work for awhile ” he move to his drawer and grab a cigarette, I had no idea he smokes, he light it up and place in his mouth ” I will be quite busy ”
” You smoke?” I look at him ” why?”
” It burns ” he look at me ” I have to be reminded where I come from ” for some reason why do he look so pitiful right now? Moving closer to him, I notice how he didn’t withdraw this time, instead, he just look at me with furrow brows ” do not touch me Chloe ” I stop moving
I bite my lower lips ” I just want a kiss ”
” Why?”
” My husband is going off to work ” I mumble ” atleast, I should give him a kiss ”
” Hmmm” he lean close and kiss my forehead, I was shocked for several reasons, I didn’t expect him to do that nor did I expect him to kiss my forehead, no body has ever done that to me before, it feels new and strange.
Watching him leave, I couldn’t say any words, move my hands to my beating heart, why won’t it stop beating ? Am I scared? Rapid heartbeat is horrible for my condition.
By the time I came back to my senses, I decided to walk out of the room, the decorations and items in his bedroom was normal, just a bed, white painted room, drawer, chair and a closet….like a simple man, someone who hardly use his room.
But I can’t help but to wonder what he means by work.
Walking out of the room, I stare at the hallway, doors to different room, paintings on the wall…..none of them seem human, creatures with horn and wings, they look somewhat like Thanatos real form.
Is this really how angels are?
I stop in front of a different painting, a lady with white hair, she has strange eye colours…..she really look pretty, who could she be to Thanatos? Since Asmodeus has white hair, could she be his sister ?
I doubt that.
” Don’t stare too much ” I step back at the sound leaving the painting ” you will ruin my beautiful appearance ” I blink and stare at the paintings and truly, the appearance started to change, eyes were becoming red ” I told you not to stare!!!!” She yell and before I could react, someone cover my face with his jacket.
” Forgive her miss Cindy ” the voice apologize ” she is Thanatos new bride ”
” Another one?” Cindy mumble ” the collection are starting to get full, this one is rather displeasing to the eyes”
What do she mean collection?
He took his Jacket off my body, i blink my eyes but everywhere is dark, i did it thrice and then realized that I just lost my sight.
