“During the attack, she sprain her foot. With just enough rest, she will be fine” The doctor said to a worried Andrew.
“But why is she still unconscious?” Andrew asked.
“It’s the anesthetic. Once it wears off, she will wake up. But don’t you want to report this issue to the police? If you had gotten to her late, she would have been strangle to death” The doctor said.
“I will have to wait for her decision” Andrew replied and the doctor left.
Andrew pulled a chair closer to her bed, watching her intently.
After the kiss, Andrew had went after her and had got there to see a mask man strangling her.
The mask man ran off, leaving an unconcious Lucy.
If he had gotten there late, the darn mask man would have strangle her to death.
He took hold of her hand and press a kiss on it, hoping she will wake up a bit early.
But after an hour, he decided to go get something to eat at the hospital cafeteria.
A call to Lucy’s friend got their mind at ease and he also made a call to William,since he wouldn’t be able to leave Lucy’s side.
“I will relay your message to them though I still don’t think you have to spend the night there” William said down the line.
“Just as my brother is important to me, Lucy is important too. If you can’t understand then that’s your problem” Andrew said before ending the call.
After buying some snacks, he went back to Lucy’s ward but Lucy wasn’t alone when he got there.
“There he is dad. That’s the boy” Giselle said as soon as she saw him.
“Good evening sir” Andrew greeted, aware that the man glaring at him is none other than Lucy’s father.
“Save your greeting and do us all a favour by leaving” Lucy’s dad said abruptly.
“Sir I…”
“Giselle told me everything. Thanks to you my daughter ended up like this. It’s best you leave or I will call security on you!” He threaten.
Wondering what Giselle could have told Lucy’s father, Andrew put down the snacks before leaving the ward.
He stood at the hall way, knowing Giselle will come after him and she did.
“Tch! Staying out here won’t get you to see her. My father just hired a private security company and they will be here soon to keep watch over her and they definitely won’t let you see her” Giselle inform him.
“What exactly did you tell your dad?”
“Nothing but the truth. I told him you are the reason why Lucy is in that state and to spice it all up, I told him that that mask guy is after you but you being around Lucy got her hurt in your place. Isn’t that interesting ” Giselle mock.
“What do you gain by doing this?”
“Everything. With my father in the way, you won’t be with Lucy and Lucy won’t be with you, period!” She stated.
“Do you really think so?” Andrew asked and her smile falter.
“You will keep on seeing Lucy behind my father’s back?” Giselle ask slowly.
“Figure that out yourself” Andrew toss at her and was about to leave when Giselle yell at him
“Why go through all the trouble for Lucy? She’s not even being honest with you”
“She’s deceiving you, she’s pretending to be…. she’s not who you think she is” Giselle added slowly.
” You really are bitter. Your so bitter that you will make things up just to tarnish Lucy’s name but you’ve got the wrong guy since I will keep on believing her” Andrew said hotly and went off before she could stop him.

~ AN HOUR LATER ~
“It’s really isn’t his fault, Dad” Lucy said for the umpteenth time but her father refused to listen to her.
“Giselle told me everything. She said he bullies you at school which is the reason why you competed in a marathon race injuring your foot and that to get back at you, he payed some guy to hurt you”
“That’s not true dad. Andrew isn’t the one who tried to hurt….”
“Enough…you have no idea how scared I was when I heard you were in the hospital. I almost ran out of my mind, promise me you will never see this boy again” Her father said.
“But dad, I….”
“Just do as I say Lucy. Don’t make me more worried. If something happens to you, I will….die”
“There’s no need to die, dad. With the guards and I around, Andrew will never get to meet Lucy again, I promise you that” Giselle said as the walk into the room.
“That’s good to know. I need to get back home to prepare some docvments, stay with Lucy till I get back”
“Sure dad. Get some rest too” Giselle said,waving him off.
“How could say that about Andrew? You know he’s innocent” Lucy said, her anger plummeting.
“So what if he’s innocent. How much fun will I get out of it?” Giselle replied, starring at her nails.
“You really are the worse!”
“And you aren’t? I wonder what Andrew will say once he gets to know the truth about you” Giselle said.
“Truth?”
“Don’t play dumb with me. I know about your plot which is to make Andrew fall for you and then you dump him. I overheard your conversation with your friends. I didn’t know you were that Bîtchy! ” Giselle taunt.
“Don’t you dare tell him anything”
“Tch! I already hint a little to him but don’t worry, I will keep quiet for a while since I love having something against you. If you be a good girl, I might just keep it a secret forever” Giselle said.
“Okay. I need to get my nails done, if Dad returns before I do, just tell him that I went to a friend house to get a project done. You will keep my secret, right?” Giselle added and left the room.

Alexis walk into the restaurant and at that moment.
A message prop into his phone and he read the content.

Alexis spotted him and went to join him at his seat.
“It’s good that you can’t, I thought you were going to ignore me” the guy said.
“Why did you send me that letter?” Alexis ask, remembering the letter he met in his locker at school.
“The one where I told you that am going to help you win the girl you like as long as you help me in return?” The guy said.
“Why would you help me do that and do you even know the girl I like?” Alexis asked.
“I do. She’s Lucy Bai”
“So you’ve been stalking me, right?”
“I have and I will make it up to you by giving you the girl you want”
“What do you gain by helping me?” Alexis ask.
“A lot. What do you say? Will you accept my help or not?”

Feeling restless,Lucy got off the bed and went towards the window.
She open it and lean on the frame, enjoying the night view while thinking of Andrew.
The door open revealing a male nurse. He had a mask on his face and looked suspicious.
Lucy’s thought went to the mask guy and fear gripped her.
“You are not the male nurse who came earlier, right?” She asked and instead of him to reply, he began walking towards her.
“Don’t come close to me! Stay away! Is anyone….”
She didn’t get to finish her sentence because he covered her mouth with his hand.
“Shhhh….”
Lucy bit his hand and tried to pull away but he held her back, pulling her into his arms.
“It’s me, Lucy” Andrew said and immediately, she stop struggling against him.
“Andrew?” She called, moving back a little to stare at him.
“It is me” he replied and kissed her….
