CHAPTER 45⚔️46
Charles stared at Evelyn as she sat on the couch pressing her phone.He wanted to cuddle her but he couldn’t because they had a human CCTV who wouldn’t let them get too close to each other.
It’s been a week since lady Alicia came back and she had made him inconvenient in every way. He couldn’t even hold hands with his own girlfriend and he couldn’t remember when last he kissed her.
He brought out his phone and texted to her.”Let’s go on a date”texted Charles and Evelyn looked up raising an eyebrow.
“Are you sure?”Evelyn texted back.
“Yes,meet me at the garage in 30mins”texted Charles and he went upstairs to prepare.
Evelyn also left the sitting room and headed to her room.
Charles dressed up a bit extravagant . It was going to be his first date with Evelyn and he was excited to see how things will turn out.He was a so happy because it was their chance to get away from Lady Alicia.
Evelyn sat in front of the mirror.She didn’t know what to do and she had searched online for different ways of dressing in a date. It was going to be a first date ever and she wanted it to turn out well.
After a small battle with her mind,she ended up putting on a simple white gown that stopped below her knees.She applied a light make up and walked down the stairs.
She felt like she was dressed too simple and Charles might not like it. It was their first date after all and she was meant to be dressed gorgeously.
She dragged her feet down to the garage nervously as she looked at the floor.Finally,she got to the garage and raised her head up meeting the piercing eyes of Charles.
“What are you doing?”asked Evelyn
“You look so captivating and beautiful”said Charles and Evelyn blushed.She was dressed so simple but her beauty was captivating and her steps were elegant and domineering.Everything about her spelt beauty and it felt like an angel fell from heaven.
“Let’s go”said Charles and they got into the car.He drove out of the house Gates and they breathed a sigh of relief. At last they were out of Lady Alicia’s sight.
They drove for hours before pulling off at a corner and they both got down from the car.
“Where are we going to?”asked Evelyn.
“My secret restaurant.”said Charles as he smiled and pulled Evelyn along.
They walked a few meters through a dark alley and Evelyn felt like they were being followed but she feigned ignorance.
“We are almost there.”Charles said excitedly as he pointed to the a small shop ahead and Evelyn smiled.He was not aware that they were being followed
“Can you go in first?I forgot something in the car.”lied Evelyn and Charles sighed.
“No problem, I will get it for you.”replied Charles but Evelyn nodded negatively.
“I won’t stay long while I am gone you can pick a table”said Evelyn and Charles agreed reluctantly.
Evelyn watched Charles get into the restaurant before going back to the middle of the alley.
“Show yourself.I know you are in there somewhere.”yelled Evelyn and a group of men came out holding different weapons.It was easy to tell that they were from a gang.
“Who sent you?”asked Evelyn and they all chuckled.
“We have no business with you,lovergirl.We just want him”said one of them and Evelyn sighed.She really didn’t plan on killing anyone before the date but it seemed like she had to change her schedule.
“Do you know who I am?”asked Evelyn as she cracked her knuckles and they all nodded negatively.She took in a deep breathe and wet her lips before looking back at them.
“Let me give you a hint.I am the only citizen in the country that doesn’t need a license to kill.I am the one who visits someone and death follows.I am the one whose laughter gives a free passage to hell and tears gives a torment ful passage to heaven.”she paused and chuckled”Is that enough hint?”asked Evelyn and they all moved back.
There was only one person that was always been referred to like that and that is the killing angel and anyone who saw her face never survived.
“Are you the killing angel?”asked another man and she ran her hands through her hair laughing.
“I really h@të it when I am being referred to that way so let me correct you”said Evelyn and her face expression turned into a dangerous one as she pulled out her knife.She had brought it along in case something happened.
“I am the ANGEL OF DEATH!”Evelyn said dangerously as she charges towards them slicing her their throats with her knife. In a few minutes they were all down and she was bathed in blood.
She sighed sadly as she stared at her white dress.
“I guess I will have to get another one”said Evelyn and she heard resounding clap behind her.
She turned slowing gripping her knife tightly and he eyes widened as she saw Charles standing behind her with his hands in his pockets.
The look on his face was cold and expressionless while she remained rooted and speechless at a spot.
