° Episode 27 °
• The next day •
The first thing Dami did when she woke up in the morning was look beside her but of course he wasn’t there.
She stood up sadly.
It took a while for her to sleep last night because she couldn’t stop thinking about what she did to offend Miles.
Why was he so mad at her??
She shrugged and entered the bathroom.
Regardless of the fact that she didn’t want leave the room, she had no choice. They had to rehearse for an upcoming concert.
She freshened up and wore her clothes, then brushed her hair before leaving the room.
He wasn’t downstairs either.
Is he probably in his studio? Or he had left the house just like yesterday?, She thought.
Why am I even worried, I shouldn’t act this way, she mumbled and left the house.
Few minutes later she was in the practice room rehearsing with others.
But she did really badly, her mood affected her performance. She made a lot of mistakes to the point that Miss Kim had to make them go for a break.
Oh and our main character, Kimberly was there of course.
She looked so excited and couldn’t stop smiling but of course Dami cared less, she had her own problems to think of.
Dami wondered why Miles attitude affected her a lot.
Why the hell couldn’t she stop thinking about him?.
A tap on her shoulder brought her back to present.
It was Happy who tapped her.
Are you okay?, Happy asked looking worried. Dami forced a smile.
You kept making mistakes today, and it doesn’t look like you are in a good mood, Happy said.
She always cares doesn’t she?, Dami thought.
Dami chuckled.
I am okay, just some cramps, she lied.
Cramps? shouldn’t you go home?, Happy asked.
I am fine don’t worry about me, if it hurts too much, I will go home, Dami replied.
Kim why do you look so excited today?, Did something good happen?, They heard Lily ask.
Does it show?, Kimberly asked.
Of course you haven’t stopped smiling since morning and you have been so ecstatic, unlike someone, Lily said.
Kimberly laughed.
Well do you really want to know?, She asked.
Of course, do you need to ask me that?, Lily chuckled.
Well I had dinner with Miles and his family last two nights, Kimberly said. A bell sounded in Dami’s head.
And guess what?, Our parents agreed that we are getting married, she squealed.
OMG!!!, Lily screamed.
Dami’s heart stopped for a while, it was as if something was blocking her chest, she couldn’t also breathe.
I am so happy for you, Lily yelled. Kimberly laughed loudly.
Happy held Dami’s shoulder.
Are you okay?, She whispered but Dami didn’t reply or she just couldn’t.
Don’t believe her, all Kimberly does is lie. You trust Miles, don’t you?, Happy asked.
Dami looked at her.
Of course she knows Kimberly lies a lot and is very fake, she couldn’t answer Happy’s question.
After all, Miles had been behaving weirdly since the dinner. And how did Kimberly know of the dinner?.
Is Miles treating her like that because he feels guilty?, She thought.
Chelsea, Happy whispered.
I am fine don’t worry about me, Dami said.
Of course you don’t seem okay, you look pale and Kimberly is enjoying herself, Happy said. Dami looked at Kimberly and smiled.
Let her have fun, I am really fine, Dami said.
Happy’s phone rang just then and she left to answer the phone. Dami sat down quietly.

Kimberly was the first person to rush out immediately after the rehearsal.
Dami sat down to drink water.
Chelsea you need to get wh@tëver is bothering you out of your mind and concentrate, the concert is next week, Miss Kim told her.
Right. She needs to stop thinking about Miles, they aren’t even real couples anyway.
Lily laughed loudly and left the room. Dami rolled her eyes.
Later she went to change in the private room and made her way to the car park.
But just before she got to her car, she saw something that made her froze.
Miles and Kimberly were talking. She couldn’t hear what they were saying but it looked serious.
She clenched her fist.
So is it true? Was Kimberly saying the truth? Or was it the plan all along?.
They were friends and then all of a sudden, he offered to help her fight against Kimberly, isn’t that weird??
At that point she wanted to go there and scream her lungs out because at that moment she couldn’t control her emotions again but before she could move a step someone held her shoulder.
Huh??
She turned back immediately.
Ava??
Don’t think about doing that, be the bigger person, Ava told her.
Wait! is she talking to her?
Ava is like an invisible person in the group and loves being on her own, they haven’t even talked since she came, apart from singing, she hasn’t heard her say up to twenty sentences.
Dami stared at her blankly.
If you go now, you will cause a scene and it will be all over the internet. Don’t give Kimberly a reason to step on you, Ava said.
Dami looked away silently.
Ava smiled at her and walked away.
Dami looked at Kimberly and sighed. Then she turned around and entered the car.

She started pacing around the living immediately she got home.
She had tried to calm herself on her way back home but she couldn’t stop thinking about the possibility of it being true.
What the hell? Are you okay?, Ace asked. She totally ignored him.
Okay is this the new trend or what?, Ace asked. She rolled her eyes. He kept quiet and sat down.
Immediately she heard the sound of Miles’s car she went to the door.
Why do I feel like I need to grab a popcorn, Ace mumbled.
Miles entered the house, as usual he didn’t look at her, he started walking away but surprisingly to him she pulled him back.
Is it true?, She asked.
He stared at her.
Are you really getting married to Kimberly?, she asked. He furrowed his brows.
Answer the damned question for Christ sake!!, she snapped.
Why do I have to answer your rubbish?, he asked.
Rubbish?? I definitely saw the both of you together!!, She snapped.
So?? Am I not allowed to talk to others?, He asked.
Dami scoffed.
Others?? You said you didn’t want to talk to anyone, you said you want me to stay away from you. But you want to talk to others?, Dami asked.
I don’t want to talk you now, you are being unrealistic, he said and started walking away.
I get it now, Dami mumbled.
Did you really approach me to get revenge for Kimberly?, Dami asked. He stopped walking and turned to her.
What the hell are you talking about?, He snapped.
Then explain it to me!!, Explain everything to me so I will understand, she screamed.
Explain what!!!, He snapped.
Why you were with her!!, What the marriage talk about!!, She screamed.
Why the hell are you getting worked up? we are not even real couples!, he snarled.
Can you even listen to your self, do you know what you sound like?, He asked. She chuckled.
Then I guess I was right. why did you do it? to humiliate me?, She asked.
You are crazy!!, he snapped.
You are mad!!, She screamed.
We are not real couples, so I owe you no explanation, you can walk away if you want, he snarled.
You keep stressing the word real couples!!. Fine!!, I will walk away!!, I will leave your house!. I even feel suffocated here anyway!, She yelled.
Wait no you guys should calm down and talk about this, Ace said.
Dami hissed and stormed up stairs angrily.
Miles you…..
Miles scoffed and sat down on the sofa.
Seriously??.
He then brought out his phone and started pressing it
Few minutes, Dami came back just then with just a handbag.
Then she stormed off the house without looking back. Miles didn’t even look up.
She left!!, Ace said but Miles ignored him.
Are you even listening to me!!, Ace snapped. Miles stood up but Ace blocked him immediately.
What do you think you are doing huh? Are we even friends? I’ve been here since yesterday and you have been ignoring me. Even if you ignore her. What about me?? What am I?, Ace snapped.
I was…….
Shut up and tell me what happened, Ace snarled. Miles sighed.
Why are you treating her like that?, What the hell happened?, Ace asked.
It’s a long story, Miles mumbled.

Ryan drank two bottles of water within a minute. He trashed the bottles and fell on the couch heavily.
He has been suffering since.
After massaging her hand, he prepared dinner for her and fanned her to sleep.
Jeez that girl!!!!.
And since this morning he has been doing all she asked him too. He just slipped out of her room to take a rest.
She’s crazier than Dami, he mumbled.
He heard the front door opening and sighed in relief.
Granny is definitely back from the hospital.
Granny welcome, Dami injured herself and……… Dami!!!!, He gasped.
Jeez, she looked really angry.
Are you okay, Ryan asked.
Definitely, she replied calmly.
One might be deceived with how calm her voice is.
She threw the handbag she was holding on the floor and Ryan flinched.
Poor bag, he mumbled.
Granny, Chelsea called.
What the hell happened to your hand?, Dami asked.
Where is Granny?, Chelsea asked looking around.
Oh you thought it was Granny, so you wrapped your hand and neck, one would think you broke your neck, Ryan scoffed.
It’s Dami, Chelsea rolled her eyes.
Is my voice too low or what, Dami snapped.
She hurt herself when she tried to save me from falling, Ryan said.
Seriously??
Dami, who made you upset?, Chelsea asked.
Did I tell you I was angry??, Dami snapped
But you look angry and why are you here?, Chelsea asked.
Of course it’s my house, and I am spending a night here, Dami snapped.
What!!!!
You are kidding right?, You can’t……
I’ve told you and it’s final, Dami snapped. Chelsea looked at Ryan and he shook his head immediately.
I will go make cereals, she said and entered the kitchen but then she came back a minute later with an angry face.
Okay what happened???
Wait what did you say happened to my body?, She asked
I hurt my arm when…….
You injured my body for whatttttt!!!. What if I amputate your legs now, she screamed.
Ahhhhh. Their ears!!!
I am talking and you are silent??, She yelled.
He was going to hit his head, Chelsea said.
Shut up!!!, I am talking and you are talking!!, She screamed.
Ahhhh.
My mistake. No one can definitely dethrone the queen Dami from the throne of craziness, Ryan mumbled.

What the Fuçk!!!!, Ace gasped.
That’s quite a long and mysterious story, Ace said. Miles smiled dryly.
So what are you going to do now? Are you going to wait for the DNA results?, Ace asked.
What else?, Do I have a choice, Miles mumbled.
This is the craziest story I’ve heard in my entire life, Ace said
But do you really have to treat her that way, I understand how you feel but she’s innocent, Ace told him.
You don’t understand me. I know, I love her. I am completely in love with her, but how can I take it, if it’s my step sister I fell for, Miles said. Ace sighed.
My first love was… fate is really cheating me, I fell for my first love’s sister and I can’t even think straight because of that and now in addition, she might be my step sister, Miles mumbled.
It will be fine trust me, Ace told him.
Just then the door bell rang and they both looked at themselves knowingly.
Then Miles went to open the door.
It was a delivery guy. After signing the necessary stuff, he was asked to sign. He left.
The DNA result?, Ace asked. Miles nodded.
Should I check it for you?, Ace asked.
Nope I am fine, I will check it myself, Miles said and brought out the paper from the file but didn’t open it. He hesitated.
Then Ace suddenly snatched the paper and opened it.
