Shots can be heard and four dummies fell in front of Bernie who clapped impressed.
” You are learning well” Bernie exclaimed and Emily smiled.
She placed a hand on her little bump before tucking the gun in the waistline of her jeans.
” I had a great teacher” She said and The second guy in the room laughed.
” You made Bernie proud” The guy clapped.
” Stop it, Oscar” Bernie Said and Emily giggled.
” Let’s get prepared for boss coming” A lady said as she walked in.
” Welcome back Hilda” Emily waved and Hilda blew a kiss at her
” Hope Bernie gave you no stress?” She asked and Bernie touched his heart looking like someone who has been hurt.
” Of course not” Emily defended and Bernie face brightened.
Just then two guys walked in.
” Boss is here” They called and Bernie nodded.
” Let’s go” Hilda said before walking out.
Emily walked out and smiled when she saw the boss lady. She was very friendly and giving gifts.
When the boss walked in, she felt some kind of familiarity with him. He look so familiar. Where did she know him?
Then she remembered the story Bernie told her and nodded.
Of course! He looks familiar because he saved her.
Dan walked towards Emily and held her two shoulders.
” Guess i will be a grandfather soon” He announced and everyone laughed.
” Am glad you are safe” Dan said smiling.
” D…D…” Emily stammered, she doesn’t know what to call him..
Dad? He wasn’t her father. Uncle…?
” Welcome back Uncle” She blurted out and Dan looked touched.
” She called me uncle” He shouted and everyone clapped.
Emily smiled before moving over to Bernie who helped her seat on the couch.
” I did well?” She asked and Bernie nodded.
” Don’t feel awkward. I called him Dad” Bernie confessed and Emily laughed.
” I called him Mom” Oscar said and They gave him weird looks.
” What? He makes me remember my mom” Oscar defended and Hilda chuckled.
” Uncle D. That’s what i always call him” Hilda said smiling.
” Abbreviation… Wow, what’s yours?” Emily asked turning to Bernie.
” Beer” Oscar replied instead and Bernie threw a grape.
” It’s Ben” Bernie replied and Emily smiled.
” Mine is Hil. While Oscar…” Hilda started but Emily stopped her.
” I think i know” Emily said and they turned to her.
” Horse!” Emily exclaimed.
Oscar’s smiling face turned to a sad face as Bernie and Hilda laughed at the nickname Emily gave him..
” That’s was nice.. but mine is scars” Oscar corrected.
” No , horse suits you better” Bernie argued laughing.
” I don’t blame you beer” Oscar snapped but They could not stop laughing.
” Time for Dinner!” A guy shouted and they all walked to the large dinning.
” Horse, Horse..” Bernie sang as he sat down.
” Stop calling me that Beer” Oscar warned as he threw a biscuit in his mouth..
” First bite, say the grace!” Hilda shouted.
” House rules man” Bernie reminded him and Oscar sighed.
” Okay, Oscar bless our table” Dan said smiling.
Everyone held hands as Oscar started his prayer.
” Thank you lord for bringing our Boss home safely, thanks for protecting Emily on her way here. Thanks you for the food and most especially thanks for the unborn child that’s about to come. Amen” He concluded.
” Amen” They chorused before digging into their meals.

√ IN BRIAN’S MANSION √
Brian sighed as he watch Allie sleep soundly. He remembered what she told him at the cemetery.
” Don’t leave me, Brian”
He held hand and Smiled..
” I won’t leave you Allie, i will stay by your side..” He promised.
A knock was heard and Brian went to open the room door.
” Sir, there are two ladies outside who address themselves as Allie’s friends” The guard said.
” Lead the way” Brian said moving out.
The guard lead him to the living room where two ladies sat.
” Are you Talia and Lia?” Brian asked and the ladies nodded.
” How is she?” Lia asked and Brian smiled.
” She is fine” Brian replied and Talia sighed in relief.
” What’s wrong?” Brian asked.
” Today is the death anniversary of her parents” Talia pointed out and Brian quickly rushed back to the room.
He couldn’t find Allie so he went towards the stairs leading to the roof, there he saw her staring at the sky.
” They were good parents to me and Emily. They loved is so much that they promised never to leave us” Allie said sadly and Brian sat beside her.
” But they couldn’t keep their promise” Allie added sniffling.
” They still love you Allie” Brian said smiling.
Allie nodded, she took Brian hand and placed it on her head.
” Promise me you won’t die on me” She muttered tearfully.
Brian held her gaze, he then looked at his hand which was on her head and sighed.
” Promise me, Brian” She pleaded.
” I promise” Brian said
