“Okay…. it all started when Iris was born, I mean your sister ” He shrugged uncomfortably rolling his eyes.
“We found out that Jarden’s mom had blood cancer, it was very heartbreaking because she was given a limited time to live, it was really painful for us to bear and besides we just had Iris, was I going to take care of Iris and you all alone” my glance turn to Jarden whose expression seems to soften.
” let’s just skip to the main “Jarden said.
“Okay I know I was the reason why your sister died and I swear I still blame myself every day for what happened that day, so after your sister’s death your mom was devastated she wished she had died too”.
” she told me that since she was going to die any moment, she told me to turn off the hospital monitor imagine what she just said, she was practically telling me to kill her, why would I do that? I rather die, I told her. She used every word she could find so I could just turn it off, she even called me a cheating bastard like I was a cheating bastard so that didn’t affect me.” I couldn’t deny the sincerity when tears rolled down his cheeks.
” I was devastated when I turned it off, she told me she didn’t want her kids to know that she had cancer instead she died because of the accident but Jarden saw me when I turned it off, I couldn’t tell the little boy that he mom had cancer and she told me to kill her he would just laugh and continue hating me”. He stopped talking and then turned to Jarden.
“Why did you threaten to kill Kiara?” Jarden asked still not satisfied with his confession.
“When I found out about your relationship with Kiara, I was quite angry because I was getting married to her mother, I am a wealthy man and the media knows me, they have seen you both multiple times kissing so what would it be like if it came out to the world, I know I was selfish for separating you both but I had to, since you already knew me as a killer, I had to do that”.
” When I found out about Kiara’s pregnancy I tried to look for you but didn’t find you, I regretted what I did so I made sure I was there for your kids, I made sure they never lacked anything, I loved them so much”
“Did Jake know?” Jarden asked.
” yes he did, he somehow found out” jarden nodded before turning me around to hug me. I was shocked at first but hugged his back.
” I’m sorry son” James said before walking out.
” I blamed him for years Kiara” his voice cracked. He was crying.
” I did not want to believe him but when he talked about how my mom begged him to it that, I knew he was telling the truth because my mom can be really demanding, and when she tells you something she always has a way to convince you to do it”.
His hands moved to my belly and he began to caress it.
” I know I have done stupid things but I want to be with you forever and with our kids too, it’s pains me every morning when I wake up but I don’t see you or our kids” he paused then pulled back from the hug. He touched my face and then pecked my forehead
” I want you to be my wife” I was caught off-guard. He wanted me to be his wife. His lips met with mine almost immediately. I didn’t expect it though, he was tender and slow. I kissed him back, I won’t lie but I have missed his lips on mine.
” is this supposed to be exciting to watch?” Jon’s voice made us shift from each other.
” that was disgusting?” I gasped when Iris said that. She was supposed to be sweet all the time.
” That’s not fair” I winced and they all laughed.
“So Mom and Dad I found out that we won’t be going to school today because…. the time is 10 already” Jon smiled saying.
“What?” Jarden exclaimed.
“Yeah Dad so you can’t take us to school anymore, and besides you love school too much it’s annoying ” Jon whined.
“Well, how do you think I became rich?” Jarden asked him.
“Because you’re handsome ” Iris chipped in.
” That’s a lie” Jon groaned. “Mom he is ugly right?” Jon asks looking at me.
” of course not, where do you think you get your beauty from?” Jon scoffed.
” absolutely nobody “. Thank God Jarden was here to witness his son’s attitude that he didn’t get from me.
” Nobody uh, but your mom loved this handsome face so much” Jarden smirked when I glared at him.
” Sorry to say Mom but you kinda have a low IQ for Beauty” I gasped then looked at Jarden who stared at Jon.
” I was just joking, haha I wasn’t serious, I swear”.
” Better start running young man because if I catch you it is over for you.” Jarden threatened and then started pursuing Jon who had run away.
Iris nodded her head in disappointment.
” Oh boys” we murmured then laughed.

After we kissed, Jarden never brought up that topic, he has been trying to act like the good father that he was and I couldn’t be more grateful.
” How is my little peanut doing?” He asked then placed a kiss on my stomach.
” Stronger than his father,” I said and he chuckled.
” Where are my warriors?”.
” Oh yh, they are in the dining room trying to make my life a living hell”.
” Oh God,” Jarden said then walked into the dining room. Iris and Jon in seeing this they stopped the nuance that they were causing.
” Hi Dad” they chorused.
” I swear I’m not gonna get ice cream for this picnic” They didn’t seem bothered when I said that.
” We all know that you can’t do without ice cream for 4 hours so….. ” I was shocked when Iris said that. That was supposed to be Jon’s line.
” I didn’t teach her mom it was dad, it’s him” Jon pointed at Jarden then my glare turned to him.
” Wt…. Jon, your betrayal, I swear it wasn’t me, it was Jon”. Jarden denied
“Dad…. You’re such a Snitch, Mom it wasn’t me. Pls”.
Now I have to deal with these two morons.
We were having a picnic with friends. Although Jarden had talked with them. It was hard for them to adjust though but they did after all.
Driving to the place was something else, Iris and Jon wouldn’t sit in one place.
” Mom Jon held my hair”
” Mom, Jon pinch my pinky”. Mom this, Mom that. Like….. Who knew motherhood was going to be this stressful?
We got to the place for the picnic, it was very beautiful. It was just how to tame both Iris and Jon that was the problem.
The first person I saw was Sharon and I quickly hugged her. She was two months pregnant and I was excited for her. She always talks about how my kids and her’s are going to be besties.
Jerry wasn’t married yet, he and Aliyah have been on and off since then while Gerald and Patricia broke up like 6 years ago. It’s funny how these two said they were going to get married. I don’t know anything about Priscilla but I think she was dating someone.
Greg was married, and he has two kids now, I was happy for him.
” I missed you too” I hugged Aliyah.
” How is my favorite boy doing” Aliyah said pinching Jon’s cheeks.
” I might be your favourite but you’re not my favorite” I and Aliyah both gasped at Jon’s words.
” What?” Jon asked cluelessly as if he didn’t just say something offensive.
We were all having fun, we were surprised when Priscilla came. She was still beautiful. I could see her eyes lingering around Jarden and I wouldn’t lie I was jealous as hell. We all talked about our lives and when it got to Priscilla to talk she talked nonsense.
” So…. Are you two married?” She asked pointing at me and Jarden.
” No” jarden answered.
” Uh, why? She has like three kids for you” Jarden didn’t reply instead he just smiled.
” But you both are dating at least”.
” N……”.
” Yes” I cut Jarden short before holding his hands.
” We are dating do you have a problem with that?” Priscilla rolled her eyes and then continued sipping from her drink. I looked at Jarden who was staring at me agape.
” We are gonna talk about this when we get home” Jarden whispered into my ears and I nodded. Oh Lord help me.
Iris and Jon had a place to play with the other kids. Greg was nice and it was great that he didn’t like me anymore like how Priscilla wouldn’t let go of Jarden.
We got home feeling exhausted that night. Jarden decided to spend the night without the kids being in my room. I get he wanted to talk about what I said.
” Explain,” Jarden said immediately we were in the room alone.
” Uhm.. the thing is that she was obviously gonna hit on you if you had told her that we weren’t together”. I sincerely said.
” And why does it matter?” He questioned not leaving the position he was in.
” You’re the father of my kids so…. It does”.
” You said something Kiara that we should go our separate ways which means that we can date any other person so… Why does it matter to you Kiara, me and I aren’t a thing so I can date anybody that I choose to, I can even date Priscilla now”. I gasped at his words before walking to hold his hands aggressively.
” You wouldn’t dare” I muttered.
” So..what are you implying here” he whispered into my ears.
” You’re mine no one else”. Jarden chuckled softly before kissing my neck.
“This is how long it takes for you to admit huh” he murmured kissing my neck again.
” Jarden” I Mõ@ned out gripping his shirt.
” You don’t know how much I want to take you right now” his hands moved to my @$$ grabbing it when he finally touched it.
” Why do we always see this Iris?” I quickly pulled away from Jarden when we heard Jon’s voice.
” You know there is something called knocking right?” Jarden asked.
” Why should we knock?” Jon asked before running to jump on my bed.
Maybe I should start locking my door.
” What are you both doing here?” I asked.
” We came to sleep here”. They both chorused.
” No no, not today” Jarden quickly said. But they ended up spending the night with us.
