Madison couldn’t concentrate on one thing. Her mind was in disarray and that’s because of hearing so many shocking things in one day.
She tried to hold it in but she couldn’t lie hearing of the pain crash made her feel scared.
What if Neil was part of the victims?
What if she was insisting on following him and she would have been part of the crash.
Just when they were trying to get along something had to disrupt it and it had to be this.
She could hear her name from different angles but she just kept quiet. She wasn’t ready to see anyone or talk to them.
She’s well aware that she’s back in Texas. Precisely, a private hospital owned by the Armstrong.
They were all in the ward but she acted like they were irrelevant but that was what they were from the start.
Well except from the few she had good relationship with……
She felt a pair of soft calm eyes on her and then the warm hands finally convinced her to look sideways and it was Lora.
Madison didn’t know what to say but the woman looked pitiful like she had so many things to say but she kept them all to herself.
Her face was pale close to white like blood had been drained from them and she had a little cut on her lips.
Madison guessed she had a little accident or she bit her lips too hard that resulted to that.
“How are you feeling?” That was the first question she asked her and Madison felt a little calm.
It was so pacifying and nice that at least someone cared about her to ask about her feeling.
“I know you’re going through a hard time but it’s all gonna be okay” It gave a little relief to her and slightly she nodded.
“The baby… It’s his right” Lora nodded a drop of tear falling from her eyes and Madison nodded again.
She the woman continued to caress her palm and slowly Madison rested her head on she woman’s shoulder and she flinched.
She winced and Madison creased her forehead. Did she make her uncomfortable.
She tried to remove her head away but the woman gave her a reassuring smiled and placed her head back.
Madison could sense something. The woman was not comfortable. She had taken slight notice of that since she came in but had ignored it.
Madison brought her hands to that particular spot and she pressed her thumb there catching the woman by surprise.
“What’s…” Before she could finish she went out of the ward hurriedly.
Madison was looking at the path she left the ward and she felt unease. She had never seen Lora like this.
Something must be up with her.

Reed dropped Amelia in front of her apartment and then she got down and waved at him.
“It’s my pleasure” Reed smiled and Amelia scoffed.
“Stop praising yourself” She hissed and then walked into the apartment while he drove off.
Amelia rang the doorbell and Amanda came to open the door panting as Amelia smiled walking in.
“Where were you all night. I tried calling you but it kept saying switched off. You made me restless” Amanda said but Amelia didn’t reply.
“And the car that drove you off. Who was in there?” Amanda asked.
“Oh!! You saw that” Amelia said.
“That’s it? You won’t say anything after giving me sleepless night. You’re acting nonchalant” Amanda said.
“What do you want me to say? And you saying I’m nonchalant. Who are we supposed to be saying is acting like that cause to me you weren’t restless. You’re just faking it. You didn’t try to search for me all through the night tho the heavy rain so save me the explanation” Amelia said.
“And who told you I didn’t” Amanda whispered.
“It didn’t look like you did to me” Amelia said and walked further into the house.
“What about the person who dropped you off” Amanda yelled from the living room.
“Just a new friend I made” Amelia yelled back.
BACK AT THE HOSPITAL*
After Lora left, Madison refused seeing anyone but then someone opened the ward and came and she turned to yell at the person.
It was Aunt Marie.
“What are you doing here, you witch?” Madison raged.
“Easy there little girl. I heard you’re pregnant first of all congratulations” Marie faked a smile but it didn’t move Madison.
“Get out of here. I don’t wanna see anyone for now especially you. Your face sucks” Madison squeezed her face.
“Awwn baby girl you’re sucking over the death of your useless husband. Isn’t that what you’ve always wanted. To get rid of him but think fate did you a little job” Marie whined faking a sorrowful face.
“Get out of my ward. Get out…. I don’t want to see your face” Madison yelled her voice trying to get out of the bed.
“I’m not here to harm you and nevertheless no one is going to hear your scream so just respect yourself and keep your voice low. Anyways congrats once again” Marie said and smiled naughtily before leaving the ward.
“That witch…. I guess she’s behind it all. A mind is telling me she had a hand in this” Madison said to herself.
GEORGIA MANSION
Georgia walked into the living room and kicked off her heels from her feet. She rubbed her neck before letting out a sly smile like she was up to something.
She walked up the stairs going to a particular room in the mansion but she saw a doctor coming out from the room.
“How’s he and how did the surgery went” Georgia asked.
“Ohh it went well. He’s in a stable condition. Gladly it didn’t have any side effects” The doctor replied smiling.
“That’s good. I already wired the amount into your account” Georgia said and the doctor smiled again gladly.
“Thank you ma’am I will take my leave now” The doctor bowed and walked away.
Georgia then twisted the knob to the room and then walked in. She walked to the unconscious person in the room who had tons of wires connected to his body.
She found a place to sit beside the bed and then she brought her hand to touch his pale face and she caressed it.
“How good does it feel have you back to myself again” Georgia said.
“I’ve always wished for this for ages but it had to be her. She had to get what I wanted for years. To have your seed in me, to be your legal wife but she had to steal it all without even trying” Georgia chuckled.
“But I forgive her. She can enjoy the moment while it lasts.”
“Now I have you to myself. You would only know me and no one else. I would be the only one you recognize. Feels good right and then I would be called Mrs Georgia Armstrong” Georgia laughed.
Then she leaned close and kissed Neil cheeks before standing up.
“Now everyone would believe that you’re dead and gone”
HOURS LATER*
“How are you doing Madison. As soon as we heard that you’re back. We came immediately” Amelia said.
They both came to the hospital after Lora put a call across to them that Madison was back but was in the hospital.
“I’m happy that you’re doing good but what about the baby, what are you going to do with it” Amanda asked but Amelia smacked her head from behind.
“What sort of question is that? How would you ask her that in this kind of situation. Do you want her to get rid of the baby or what” Amelia said.
“I didn’t mean it that way”
“Well that was what it seemed to me” Amelia rolled her eyes.
“Hey you both should stop arguing. I’m keeping the baby” Madison finally said then they heard silent whimper from the door and they turned to see Anastasia crying at the door.
It was like an unasked question cause she finally said,
“It’s been confirmed, Neil is dead”
