“The doctor said that Mom was poisoned and she might not make it”
“How’s that possible?” Neil asked immediately and then a doctor showed and he went hurriedly to him dragging him by the collar of his coat.
“What happened to her? Tell me she’s alright ” he said his veins popping out from his face and the Doctor sighed.
“Mr Armstrong you have to calm down. Thank goodness you brought her in time before the poison had spread to all parts of her body. So in a nutshell she’s safe now” The doctor smiled and Neil sighed in relief.
He loosened his hands on the doctor’s collar and rested on the nearest wall for support.
His heart was beating madly in his chest but it came down slowly and then he felt something hug him from behind.
“She’s okay now. That’s all that matters” Madison soothing voice whispered into his ears and it also helped in calming him down.
“Do you want to see her. She’s conscious?” The doctor asked and Neil nodded.
He held Madison hands while Anastasia was behind them as they entered in. When Lora heard footsteps her eyes brightened and went teary immediately.
“Mom” Anastasia squealed and went to hug her.
“I’m fine Ana. It’s okay” Lora patted her back and she sniffed before pulling away from the hug.
Neil caressed her hand and also hugged her. “I wouldn’t have survived it if I heard you didn’t make it” Neil said and she chuckled.
“Well I am glad I survived cause I wouldn’t want you going with me” she replied.
“But Mum who poisoned you. You don’t even eat what the maids cook ” Anastasia said as she stared at her mother.
“I don’t actually know. I went to the kitchen to make some tea and then my phone rang and I left the kitchen to pick the call but it was a spam call. I went back to the kitchen to finish the tea I made and then my body felt unusual… ” Lora explained.
“Did you see anyone going into the kitchen after you went to receive the call” Neil asked but she shook her head.
“Noo and I believe I was the only at home cause Marie left so early in the morning and your dad is not around so I was the only one at home” She said and Neil thought about it for a while.
“I’ll be back. I have to go somewhere” Neil said and left.
“Mum I have some assignments to do at home. When I am done I would be back” Anastasia said and also left leaving only Madison with Lora.
“Are you happy?” Lora asked and Madison arched her brow staring at her in confusion.
“Huh-”
“I mean with my son. Are you happy?” Lora asked again.
“Ummm… I don’t know. I think yes?” Madison replied more like a question.
Lora sat up and then gestured for Madison to come closer to her and she did so.
“You see I don’t think I have anytime more left cause this sickness is making me feel weaker by the days” Lora sighed.
“Should I call the doctor. If the poison is still having any effect on your system” Madison said about to get up but she held her wrist.
“It’s not about the poison. I have been suffering from an ailment for years and apart from my doctor you’re the only person in the family that’s getting to know about it” She said.
“Then why are you telling me?” Madison asked.
“Cause I feel that you need to know. You don’t have to feel pity for me because I have prepared for this day long ago” She said when she noticed the extra worried expression she had on.
“Is there no cure for it. Or can’t you undergo surgery. I’m sure there’s a solution” Madison suggested.
“There is but I choose not to because I know that no matter the amount of surgery I undergo I would still end up dying”
“Noo Don’t say that ma’am” Madison hushed her and she chuckled.
“There’s something else I want to tell you but you must keep this a secret. You mustn’t tell anyone. Just consider that as my last wish” She said and that Madison more interested to hear it.
“Neil is not my real son. He was adopted” She blurted and Madison eyes widened.

Pearl smashed her lips on Donovan but he didn’t reciprocate. She tried moving her lips on his getting him to repeat the action but he kept still and then she broke it.
“Are you still ashamed. I get it you can never see me like other girls that’s why you keep resisting cause I only look like a sister to you” Pearl said and got up from his laps but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back making her gasp.
“Who told you that? Huh that I don’t see you like other girls” Donovan asked and Pearl went speechless.
“Then the person was right” Pearl heart broke when she heard that..”My heart don’t beat for other girls. They beat for you cause you’re not them. You’re special to me” He said and she blushed.
“So tell me. Are you serious about it cause I h@të secrets and I would want everyone to know that you’re mine” Donovan said and she nodded.
“Words Pearl”
“Yes….” She said and this time he crashed his lips on hers hungrily and she reciprocated in the same pace.
“Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! Cheers to the newest couple in Texas” Sean clapped his hands disrupting their moment and Donovan glared at him as Pearl hid her face in his chest.
“What? Don’t blame me. I thought we were the single dudes here but when I went in. You started making out leaving me behind” Sean said faking a hurt face.
“Nobody would take you serious because you aren’t serious with your life” Donovan said and he held his chest.
“Your words just broke my heart Don.” He whined.
“Don’t worry when I finally get my girlfriend you would have to gift me a car” Sean said and he chuckled.
“Are you making a deal with me. Fine I’m in but if you don’t get a girlfriend in two weeks you’ll gift me a car also” Donovan and.

“Now can you excuse us. We’re having a couple’s moment”
“Yes. I’m going girlfriend hunting so enjoy your time together but Don please avoid getting her pregnant now I don’t wanna be a godfather yet” Sean joked and ran out.
“Madman” Donovan muttered.
After Sean left, Pearl stomach grumbled and Donovan laughed out.
“Have you been starving yourself cause of me” He asked and she nodded ruefully.
“Then let’s go make some delicious meal for you” And he carried her in a bridal style to the kitchen.
GEORGIA MANSION*
“How did it go? Did you do what I asked you to do?” Georgia was sitting on an armchair while a maid was kneeling before her.
“There was a ma’am. I couldn’t put it in the Boss’s food so I had to poison ma’am Lora instead” The maid replied shakily.
“You foolish ingrate. Who sent you to poison her? That woman is so useless I didn’t ask you to do that” Georgia raged and she dragged the maid by the hair.
“Arrrggghh! I’m sorry ma’am it was a mistake” She pleaded but Georgia hissed.
“So is your life a mistake” Georgia said and brought out a gun from her pocket and the maid’s eyes widened.
“Please don’t kill me. My daughter is ill and I need to take of her. Please she needs me” The maid pleaded with her but she paid deaf ears.
“Go tell the devil hi for me in hell” Georgia smirked and released two bullets straight into her stomach and coughed out blood before dying instantly.
Marie barged in and she gasped fearfully when she saw the dead body of the maid.
“What did you do Georgia? What has gotten into you” Marie asked.
“Obsession. That’s what has gotten into me. Dear Mother I promised you that anything that gets into my way in having Neil…. Gets killed and that includes even you mother” And Marie heart skipped a beat.
“So stay away from my decision. You’re no different from me. You killed your husband without remorse so who are you lecture me” Georgia smirked grazing the tip of the gun at her face.
“Scared aren’t you… Are you afraid of dying mother. I can kill you this instant and no one would get to know about it” Georgia laughed seeing how tensed Marie looked.
“Brace up Mum. We have to kill them all if we want to be the rightful owners of the Armstrong Corporation.” Georgia said and smirked and then she fired the gun at the wall of the room.
And Marie fell on her butts….
