β’βββΏ His Real MomβΏβββ’β¦
Everyone was dressed in black in a church as they laid Lora to rest. She was dressed nicely and was confined in an expensive coffin.
Anastasia wasn’t crying but her face was so gloomy. With the little time she’d spent with Lora , she knew that she was a sweet woman.
Sadly, she wasn’t Neil real mom. She closed her eyes reminiscing how Neil took the news about being adoption.
Anastasia went to the front and she dropped a flower on top of the coffin. Madison was beside her and after she did that she broke into tears while Madison consoled her.
Neil also dropped his own flower and shut his eyes from dropping tears. He didn’t want to look weak. He has to be strong. He looked around and he couldn’t find his father.
He clenched his fists. That man never took anything serious apart from anything that concerns himself.
Now he doubted if he ever loved his Mom or he just watched her suffer without doing anything.
Something was hurting one of his palms and he opened it. It was the locket Madison gave him in the hospital.
He doubted her when she said that but when he saw how the baby in there was him, he had no other choice than to believe her.
He couldn’t h@tΓ« on Lora because even though she wasn’t his biological Mom she showered him with so much love than even the mother who gave birth to him.
GEORGIA MANSION*
Georgia woke up with a terrible headache and excruciating neck pain because she just woke up to find her self still in the dining room.
The dishes were still there and the wine opened just the same way it had been before she dozed off.
“Arrrggghh” She said holding her head when she tried to remember it all.
She stood up from the chair and then walked to the kitchen fridge and took a bottle water. She uncapped it and took a long gulp calming her nerves.
The dropped the bottle water on the kitchen counter and walked out of the kitchen.
Her head banged and then the memories came in. How Neil made a fool of her and drugged her.
“What the!!” Her eyes widened and went to pick her phone wanting to know if he got any file from it but a trending news on the television caught her interest.
πΊ POPULAR BILLIONAIRE IN TEXAS, NEIL ARMSTRONG GRIEVES OVER THE DEATH OF HIS MOTHER. SHE DIED OF BRAIN TUMOR.
ACCORDING TO….
The rest were irrelevant to her as she already heard what she wanted to hear and she smirked.
Finally that stupid woman was dead and gone…. She thought.
She couldn’t feel less happy and she smiled to herself. She would make Neil pay for drugging her.
Maybe her obsession for him had gone to the extreme.
Her phone rang and she saw Marie on the caller id but she ignored it. Marie continued calling severally and she groaned before picking.
“You finally answered. I am on my way to the airport. I don’t wanna leave Texas Georgia you have to help me, I’m trapped” Marie said anxiously over the phone.
“How’s that my business? You’re the least of my problems so if you’re leaving Texas I wish you a safe trip Bye” Georgia said.
“I don’t….” Georgia hang up before Marie could finish and she hissed before tossing her phone on the couch.
“Finally another mad woman gone” She ruffled her hair before going into the room.
ARMSTRONG MANSION*
Neil decided to confront Chairman Armstrong. He couldn’t just overlook the fact that his father failed to pay his last respect to his Mum.
“Where were you all day Father?” Neil asked as he stormed into his study.
“Can you leave I am busy with some things?” Chairman replied and Neil scoffed.
“You’re busy. Mum was poisoned you didn’t show up, she had been suffering from brain tumor for years and we all failed to know. Now she’s dead and you couldn’t even come to pay respect” Neil yelled and Chairman looked up.
“Are you done?” He asked with a raised brow and Neil’s eyes widened.
“About the poisoning I already took care of that and about coming to the church, I had a lot of things to take care of” He replied.
“Is that all you can say. Wasn’t she your wife? Did you love her at all” Neil said and tears were coming out of his eyes.
“She’s my wife but her death is not supposed to make me weak just like you’re now. How do you wanna face competitors when you act like a puppy at all times” Chairman said.
He already stood up and walked over to where Neil was standing while the other looked at him with…..
h@tΓ«… Contempt…. Disdain.
“You’re rivals will always look for when to strike so you have to stand firm at all times” Neil slapped his hands off his shoulder.
“Thanks Dad but no. You’re still thinking of business even now and that’ll make me h@tΓ« you more. Even Mom would h@tΓ« you wherever she is” Neil said and turned.
“And do you think she was a saint either?” Neil hands tightened on the knob as he was about to go out.
“She had a secret she had been hiding from me for years no matter how I got her to spill it” chairman said.
“Her secrets doesn’t matter. Everyone have a secret they don’t wanna tell even you Dad” Neil muttered and walked out of the study.
He rested his back on the door after closing it and he ruffled his hair before breathing out.
It really took him a lot to say that to his Dad and that was because he was tired. Tired of hiding behind the shadows.
Maybe that was the reason why his marriage with Madison didn’t start on a good foot cause he let his parents swirl him around.
He got a text on his phone and he put a hand in his pocket before walking out of the house.
He got into his car and drove out. …. After the twenty minutes drive he pulled up in front of Indigo’s hideout and he came down.
He knocked once and the door was opened immediately by Indigo and he walked in.
“Did you get the d@mn information I told you to find out” Neil asked and threw the locket in his palms to the nearest table.
“Yeah and I am sorry about your Mom” Indigo replied and he nodded.
Indigo went to her laptop and she turned it on. “I did a research about all the orphanage homes in Texas and I was able to hack into the system of them all” Indigo decoded the information.
“This particular one” She showed it to Neil. “Grace Orphanage has some records of a baby boy that your mother adopted” She said.
“There’s a but there” She said and Neil stared up at her.
“What’s that?”
“It was different from other files like it was hidden. It took me a lot of time and I got it.” She said.
“You know I am the best computer hacker in the world” She said proudly and Neil scoffed.
“As if” Then chuckling.
“So anything about the mother of the child. Anything there is” Neil asked.
“Surprisingly she dropped a number. I don’t know why but maybe she wanted to come claim back her child” Indigo said and copied down the number for Neil.
“Here it is” She sent it to him.
“Thanks” He said.
“I’m the one supposed to be saying that. You did a lot for me despite the fact that you don’t know me” Indigo smiled.
“Maybe we needed each other and that’s why it came to me to help this little beautiful girl” Neil teased and they both laughed heartily.
“Don’t get yourself worked up too much. You’re still relevant to me” Indigo scolded and he nodded like a little child.
“Yes Mummy I will” Neil said and she chuckled and he left the apartment.
When he got to his car he rested his head on the headrest and sighed out loudly.
He went to the number Indigo sent to him and he contemplated if he should call it. This was his mother’s number.
Was he truly ready to find out who she was. After deep thinking he finally decided to do it.
To call her…….
He dialed the number on his phone and then he clicked on green calling it but a familiar number appeared.
What was showing on his Caller Id was Aunt Marie and his eyes widened as the phone fell from his hands to his laps.
Was he dreaming?????
