Dina couldn’t move as she felt her blood dry up
There was Jewel in a pool of blood, not moving……
********BROOKE’S HOSPITAL (THEATER)**********
Elena was seen attending to Jewel who was still unconscious. She was given anesthesia already as Elena tried covering the wounds.
Beside Jewel was Luke. He was bent to her face level.
“Jules…” He called slowly as if he was expecting her to open her eyes. He had appeared here the moment he saw the news.
“She’s losing more blood” A nurse panicked
“Her temperature is dropping” Another nurse said but Elena was unmoved.
She focused on clothing the wound on Jewel’s head to reduce the bleeding.
Luke faced Jewel
“It’s April, so please, I understand you are faking a sleep. Just get up, please” Luke said to unconscious Jewel.
After waiting a while and Jewel didn’t move, he felt reality hit him.
“Jules, I can’t bear seeing you in this condition, please” He whispered to her ear.
“Please, don’t come, Don’t even think of coming to meet me, cause I won’t welcome you”
“Please, survive this. I want to see those hazel eyes again” He said as he felt a tear roll. He touched his cheek but there was nothing.
“While do I feel weird?”
********FEW MINUTES LATER
The was calm with nurses doing their jobs until Glenda ran in, panting like someone who was been chased. She rushed over to the counter.
“Where’s my daughter?” She asked impatiently.
“I’m sorry ma. Who are you talking about?” the nurse on duty asked.
“The girl who had a hit and run acci…” Glenda didn’t complete her statement as she saw Elena.
“Where is she???” Glenda asked, her eyes turning red as she tried hard to stop the tears.
“Come with me” Elena said as she led the way.
“You need to put your mind at rest as she is out of danger. I’ve given IV fluid, so she should be awake probably by daybreak” Elena finally opening the door to the ward Jewel was.
A tear escaped her eye as she saw Jewel’s state.
She turned to the side to look at Dina who had swollen eyes definitely from too much tears.
Dina looked at Glenda and her eyes cried out no tears. it was as if there were no more tears to shed.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t know she would get into an accident. It’s all my fault. Maybe, just maybe if I has wanted an ice cream she would no be here. it’s really all my….”
Dina’s words hanged in her throat as He hugged her.
“Don’t say that” Glenda said breaking the hug.
She turned towards Jewel.
“I’ll give you some privacy” Dina said leaving the ward.
With Dina out of the ward, Glenda faced Jewel. All the tears she had held in streamed out as she shakingly held Jewel’s hands.
“It’s all my fault. I’m a bad mom” She said as the tears flowed continuously.
“You don’t have to forgive me, just don’t leave me.” She said touching Jewel palm.
She rested her head as the tears flowing increased. “Please forgive me” She said as sleep took over.
*******OUTSIDE THE WARD
“Can we talk” Elena said moving towards Dina.
“I’m not in the mood” Dina said walking away.
“First, Jewel didn’t want to talk to her mom, now Dina?” Luke asked no one in particular as he looked at Elena who left in a sad smile.
“Why do I feel weird? Why do I feel like a big part of me is here??” Luke asked with a hand on his chest.
Elena walked towards her office but felt eyes following her. She turned around and saw no one.
“I think that kidnap episode affected me” Elena said entering her office.
Meanwhile, Dina stared at the closed door with mixed feelings. There was pain, anger, sadness and fury mixed together.
She had sneaked up on her mom to know why she was not coming home only to see a body frame following her.
She might have not seen the front view but she knew that it was a male body stature. The mysterious person was on black with a hoody covering his head.
“I knew she was seeing someone else” Dina said turning around to walk away.
**********NATASHA’S HOUSE
Sheila were still in shock, but Sydney was physically fidgeting.
Natasha lifted her head and she saw the scared look on the faces of their minions
“What is it??” She asked but got silence for a reply
“We three were involved, so keep your mouths shut. I know my dad would be coming in two days time to teach Jewel a lesson for slapping me, but you see, I got impatient and did the job myself”
“You….you just….” Sydney stammered
“I what???” Natasha asked but got no reply
“Well you see, I taught a fool a lesson”
“But, Jewel might die” Sydney said still shaking
“I…I can’t be convicted of murder. I’m still young ” Sydney said still fidgeting
“Murder???” Natasha said as she laughed evilly. But suddenly stopped as she shocked Sydney by the throat making sweat beads fall on Sheila’s forehead.
“I didn’t murder anyone. She just came across my path” Natasha said as a evil smirk spread on her lips. She let go of Sydney and continued
“You see, Jewel has been on my nerves for some time now, so I had to teach her a lesson. Too bad she’d learn her lesson in the afterlife”
“What if the cops…”
“Cops, don’t worry about them. No one saw us well apart from Jewel herself who might be in the afterlife, but even if she survives, she has no one to back her up”Natasha said interrupting Sydney who was still trying to catch her breath from the choke.
“You know, money is power, and I am money, so if you two stay with me and keep that stinky gutter of a mouth shut, I might protect you but if you betray me then….. You know what I will do” Natasha said walking away.
“One down, one left. I wonder how Dina’s face is right now” Natasha muttered to herself laughing evilly.
*********UNKNOWN HIDEOUT
Mole stepped in to the room to find Gator on his laptop.
“Welcome back, pal” Gator said mockingly.
After the days spending in the torture room, Mole lost some weight, with a rough hair making him appear like a clown.
“Any progress?” He asked not minding Gator’s indirect insult.
“Wow, new attitude.” Gator said turning to his laptop and opening a file.
“I found who took our package” Gator said with a smirk
“Who?” Mole asked impatiently and Gator played a video showing a girl picking up a book.
“Who’s that” Mole asked
“JEWEL RISE” Gator said as he looked at the video again.
