( Confrontation…)
*John’s POV*
“Are you pulling a prank on me? Cuz if you are, I swear to the Moon goddess that I’ll kick your @$$ for pranking me this early in the morning “. Vivian groans while standing in front of her locker rubbing her tired eyes.
“I’m being serious Vivian, I wanna take you out on a date. A real date, like what any male wolf would do when they find their mate”. I say nervously holding out the bouquet of roses as her cute brown eyes widened at my gesture.
“So will you please say yes to going on our first date already so I don’t look like a complete idiot in the hallway holding out flowers to my mate that doesn’t look like she wants them”. I mutter with a smile as I noticed the people in our school passing by with nosy expression.
“But, why though? You could’ve just ask me like a normal person and then give me flowers at the end of the date. I’m gonna look weird being the only person in class with a big bouquet of roses”. She replies as I noticed her face looked flush as my gift of affection.
“Well, how about I try this then”. I say pulling a single rose out from the bouquet before placing it on her left ear underneath her black smooth hair.
I leaned back to admire the flower in her hair only to smile widely at her blushing face. I gently touched her cheek before laughing.
“You look adorable when you blush”. I add on with a wink as she looks away with a nervous expression.
“Here, you can keep the rest of the roses in your locker so that anytime you see them in there, you will remember me. A cute mate gesture type of thing “. I say putting the bouquet of roses in her open locker before closing and locking it.
“So I will pick you up tonight by eight, if that’s alright with your mom. And then I’ll take you to a few special places”. I continue while walking her to her first period as for the first time, she stayed quiet while shyly nodding at my explanation.
“If your mom isn’t fine with me taking you out that late, I can always drop by earlier and ask-“. before I finished rambling, she cut me off by kissing my cheek making me being the shy one all of a sudden.
“She’s actually been dying for to go out past 8 since am always home right after school and never go out. So, am pretty sure she’ll be fine. Just tell me what type of clothes I should wear before school end today so that I can get ready before you pick me up”. She says quickly before rushing into class leaving me grinning like an idiot staring at were she just rushed into.
“This girl is going to be the end of me!
“Bro! You’re so addicted to her and y’all haven’t marked each other yet”. Christian laughs while walking up to me with Ethan taking me out of my happy trance.
“She said yes”. I say excitedly as they high fived me.
“Finally, my bro is ready to lose his V card”. Ethan says patting my back before I punched his arm.
“Stop saying Sh|t out loud, goddamn it”. I snapped before pulling him and Christian down another hallway far from where there were a lot of people walking around.
“I don’t get why you’re angry if everyone in school already knew you were saving yourself for your mate”. Ethan groans while fixing his letterman’s jacket I was pulling him by.
“Well she doesn’t know that, so stop trying to embarrass me Damnit”. I snapped back as they both laughed.
“You look funny as hell when you’re angry”. Christian says patting my arm before we turned around seeing someone that my wolf didn’t like.
“Can we talk?”. Andrew asks gesturing me to follow him as Christian and Ethan turn to him with suspicions.
“Anything you wanna say to me, you can say in front of them”. I reply crossing my arms as he looks at me before nodding.
“Look, I know Vivian is your mate and everything but there’s something you should know about our past. I know she’s already told you everything but from team mate to team mate, you have to believe me when I say she’s lying about what happened that night at my house “. he explains with an annoyed look as I looked back confused but gestured him to go on anyways.
“The night I turned 17, I threw a big party at my house like I always did on my birthday, but I didn’t know my mate was gonna be there that night. So when me and Vivian were drinking that night, and it was her first time drinking and we were both drunk . So technically it wasn’t my fault that I almost took her virg-“. before he finished his sentence, my fist connected with his jaw and with the rage boiling up inside me,my hands moved quickly to slam him hard against the lockers of the hallway we were in.
“You did what?!”. I shout feeling my wolf dying to rip this @$$hOle head off.
“No! She was lying! Nothing happ-“. before he finished my eyes saw red and all I felt was my fist colliding with bones and blood.
“John stop!”. Ethan shouts pulling me out of my rage as my eyes looked around seeing shocked people crowding around me and Andrew’s bloody body in the middle of the hallway.
“Mr. Johnson! My office now!”. The principal shouts as I realized what I did.

“I have never seen you do anything this reckless before. John what happened?”. My sister asks cleaning up my bloody knuckles as I frowned.
“After Mrs. Holmes decided to put me on suspension for the next two weeks, my sister came to school quickly helping me to the nurses office to start fixing my wounds from all the punching I did earlier in the hallway.
“He almost R@PED her”. I muttered while feeling my eyes tear up just by saying the rotten words.
“John”. My sister sighs before pulling me into a tight hug.
“I should’ve been there, what if something had happened to her?”. I snap at myself before my sister pulls away to cup my face in her small hands.
“Look at me John, This is not your fault. We should be happy that nothing happened, okay?”. She says.
“It was my fault”. Vivian says standing at the doorway of the nurses office.
My sister turned around in shock as the tears in my eyes started falling quickly making me look away from Vivian frowning angel like face.
“I should’ve told you this earlier when we met. Andrew and I were best friends since we were 9. I had a crush on him for the longest and as we get older, since he was the only guy I had trusted growing up with, he quickly became my first in everything. My crush on him developed into a love of some sort and the night of his 17th birthday, I prayed to the Moon goddess that I was going to be his mate. So I did plan on giving him my virginity that night but at some point I couldn’t but then I got drunk that night and that was when he almost took advantage of me but luckily I was save by someone that night. But I was foolish also. It’s okay to be mad at me “. She explains making my heart ache throughout her whole explanation.
My tears were turning into long stream of water coming out of my eyes. All the confusion, anger, rage hatred, jealousy and guilt was building up inside me and I couldn’t stop them from turning into tears.
“John. Please say something”. She whispers walking up to me now as I kept my eyes glued down to my hands that were bandaged up now and had ice on them thanks to my sister who was still standing in the room awkwardly.
“I need to go home”. I say standing up quickly as my wolf howls in pain at the thought of leaving my mate.
“If you want to reject me, you can”. She mutters as I came to a halt in front of the door to the room we were in.
“I mean, you won’t be the first person to do it”. She whispers as my eyes closed hearing her sadness through her words.
“Of course I will never reject you, I just need some time”. I reply patting her hair before turning around knowing she was hurting as much as me.
Before she could answer, I made my way out of the school quickly.
I already heard my sister’s footsteps behind me as I stopped in front of my car in the school parking lot.
“You know you’re going to have to explain to both mom and dad about how their youngest son managed to send am older guy from school to the hospital before school even started right?”. She asks standing behind me as I nodded before getting into my car already knowing she was going to get into the passenger seat.
“Let’s stop by Maudes diner first though, I gotta feed two people at the same time now so don’t judge me “. She smiles while rubbing her swollen belly as I rolled my eyes before starting the car.
