The next day, Jasmine began her punishment, after tidying up the toilets and the canteen, she came to help the cleaner in the classroom.
“Hey, what are you doing? Aren’t you supposed to be close for today, Look around no students here”.The Cleaner said staring surprisedly at her.
“Am under punishment, so I am here to assist you”. Jasmine said politely. Isabella’s story don’t copy.
“What? Wait a minute, I know you from somewhere”.She said and thought for a while and then snapped.”Yes, now I know, you Mr. George’s daughter”.She said smiling.
“Yeah, but not anymore”.She said sadly and started tidying up the class.
“I don’t understand what you mean”.
“That will be a story for another day”.She said.
“Ok, but may I ask why you are been punished?”.

“Maybe she was stuck in traffic”.Grandma Alma said.
“I think I will go and look for her, the sun is almost down and it’s too dangerous to be walking alone on that narrow road”.Mr.James said.
“I will go with you”.Mrs.Lucia said and her husband stopped her.
“No, you stay with Mom, I will be right back with her”.He said and walked away while still trying to connect to Jasmine’s cell phone.

After helping out with the cleaning, Jasmine and Martha came out and bid each other goodbye before they left in a different direction. Isabella’s story don’t copy. She walked to the bus stop and sat down waiting for the bus, just then she noticed her phone ringing, so she brought it out from her bag and picked it up immediately after she saw the caller ID.
📞”Hello, Dad”.She said on the phone and there was a pause as she noticed the scared voice from her father.”Dad, am fine, am at the bus stop”.She sighed.”My phone was bad due to a network problem, I will be home now”.She talks for a while and then hangs up.
The bus came, she entered and it drove off, it finally came to a stop after an hour of driving, She came down and was surprised to see her father waiting at the bus stop.
“Jasmine”.He called and rushed to hug her tight.”Thank goodness you are ok”.He kissed her hair.
“Am fine Dad, sorry for making you worried”.She said and they pulled away from each other.
“Let’s go home, everyone is worried”.He took her hand and they walked away.
Later at the dinner table, they sat down eating.
“What practice will keep you out so late?”.Grandma Alma asked after Jasmine lied to them about having practice in school for their upcoming talent show.

“Is nothing to worry about, is just two weeks”.She said.
“Two weeks!”.Mrs.Lucia said surprisedly.
“You mean you will be coming home late every day for two weeks?”. Mr.James asked and she nodded.
“I won’t accept that”.Mrs.Lucia declined.
“Come on Mom, I will be fine”.
“Is too dangerous for you to be walking alone on that lonely road”. Grandma Alam said.
“But Father will be waiting for me at the bus stop”.She said.
“Ok, I accept that, but what if your father resumes his work, you know they have arranged to call him back”.Mrs.Lucia said.
“How about you ask Desmond to drop you off then”.Mr.James said.
“That’s good”.Grandma Alma said.
“No!”.She said and they were surprised. “I won’t allow that, I will be fine on my own,” She said calmly but anger could be heard in her voice. Isabella’s story don’t copy. “The last thing I will do is ask him for a ride”.She scoffed angrily and they stared confusedly at her.
“Did you two fight?”.Mr.James asked.

Days later, Jasmine was getting used to her work and she became close friends with Martha. During the lunch break, both were seated on the school roof eating their snacks.
“Am going to miss having you around”.Martha said.
“Why? Are you quitting?”.
“No, am talking about you, you have just a week left”.
“Oh, I see”.
“I can’t quit now, I still have a daughter to train in school”.She said.
“Am sorry I said that, but I am still wondering how you manage two jobs at a time”. Jasmine said.
“Well, am used to it, my daughter is my only priority in life and she is the one I am doing all this for”.
“What about your husband?”.She asked and Martha sighed sadly.”Um, am sorry, is ok if you don’t want to talk about it”.
“No it’s fine, maybe you can learn from it anyway”.She sighed. “It was a lie, Collins never loved me, he lied about it and I fell for it, I found out that he is married with two kids in another city and he never told me about it”.She said and Jasmine gasped.
“What?”.
“Yes, he was transferred here for a construction business that’s how I met him and we became close, his aim was to sleep with me and dumb me”.She sniffed and dabbed at her eyes.
