Luke sneaked into his father’s office again. He was almost caught last night.
He walked to the safe and opened it with the passcode he heard. The safe clicked open. He smiled and brought out some files.
He checked through it.
“Omg, they are in here…
These are Lauren’s docvments assets” I have to do a photocopy fast”
He took out the docvments and came back minutes later with freshly printed ones.
He placed it back in the safe and closed it.
“Yeah, I will get in touch with you”
Luke heard his father’s voice and footsteps approaching the office.
“Fuçk…
He muttered and hid under the office table. He later changed his mind.
He stepped out and decided to act naturally. He sat down and took a magazine on the office table, staring at it.
The door opened seconds later and his dad walked in. His heart almost popped out when he saw Luke.
“Gosh, you almost killed me a son”
Mr George said.
“Am sorry for scaring you, I was waiting for you. I wanted to see you”
Luke replied.
“What do you want, son?”
Luke sighs.
“Are we going to sit down and do nothing? Everyone seems relaxed”
“We are doing something, just sit back and watch”
“And what’s that?”

“Luke, am going to have a busy day, I think we should talk about this later”
Mr George replied.
Luke smile.
“I see… You are all hiding something from me”
He said and stood up.

He relaxed. “Maybe am been paranoid”

Luke walked out of the office with a big victory smile. He puts his hands in his pocket as he walks to his car.
Mr George breathes out a relief.
“I guess he is already suspecting something”
He thought and looked at the safe behind him. He quickly rushed to open it.
“Did he mess with my safe?”
He opened it and saw everything was still intact including Lauren’s docvments.
He sighs.

Luke drove out with a fulfilled joy.
“I knew they were hiding things from me”
He smiles as he drives. He screamed happily.
“Yes, you are looking at the new CEO of Linde Plc”

A knock came on the door. Marcel managed to stand up and walked to it.
He opened it and smiled seeing Lauren, Ellie, and little Ethan.
“Dad… Are you okay?
Little Ethan hugged Marcel’s legs.

Can you go inside and take a look around?
I need to talk to Ellie and your mom”
Marcel said.
Ethan nodded and walked away admiring the living room.
Marcel held Lauren and kissed her.

Ellie said.

“So what are you doing here?
“We came to check up on you.. to see if you are okay”
Ellie said.

“We are trying to cook a meal for you… You have to eat before the doctor comes”

A knock came on the door. Jerry got down from the bed and walked to the living room. Camile was taking a nap on the couch.
“Hey, didn’t you hear the knock?”

Camile said with sleeping eyes. Jerry just sighed and walked to the door.
He opened it. The Pizza delivery man stares at him.
“Huhm, we didn’t order a pizza”
Jerry said.
The delivery man looked at the address again.
“This is the correct address”
“Camille, did you order a pizza?”
Jerry asked Camille from inside.

The delivery guy is here already”
Camille yawned.

Jerry collected the pizza package from him.

He closed the door behind him.

He throws the question at her.

It’s not like am dying now.. I still have some months to live and I want to enjoy those last moments with you all”

Lauren and Ellie hugged him. Ethan came from behind and also hugged his father.
“Everything will be fine”
“I hope so”
Lauren replied.

Marcel faces him.
“How about we go on a vacation trip tomorrow?”
