Stephanie yawned cutely and opened her eyes. She felt a hand round her waist and she looked down.
Gideon was cuddling her, she didn’t remember sleeping close to him. So, how come?
She gently removed his hands and walked into the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and took her bath.
She came out with a white towel tied on her chest. Gideon was standing near the wardrobe.
She looked at him and faced front. *Why should I talk to him after he ignored me yesterday * she thought
” no greetings? ” he asked
” good morning, she murmured ”
“Am sorry cupcake, I overreacted yesterday, I know it isn’t your fault
I can’t watch anyone else touch you, you are mine alone”he said
“Am glad you know that Mr Thompson was at fault” she replied
” no more tutor, I will teach you myself ” he said walking into the bathroom
“Awwn, that’s cute” Stephanie blushed
Khalil Mansion ***
“Khalil you haven’t eaten for two days now, I don’t want to loose another child” Khalil’s mum scolded
” mum am not hungry, why isn’t she picking my calls, I miss her mum” Khalil said
” it seems you have gone mad, what did you even do to her” she asked
” its a long story, but I need to see her first” he replied rushing to the door but his mum quickly blocked him
” you must kill me before leaving this house, you started behaving like a lunatic all of a sudden.
In your dreams you shout Patricia, you would not eat because of her
God help me, don’t allow the only child I have left to die of the same love which took my Cali away from me. ” his mum said in tears
Khalil sighed and walked into the kitchen. ” I’ll eat just wipe your tears” he mumbled.

One week later
Gideon Mansion ***
Patricia walked to the dinning room. She drew out a chair and sat down.
” good morning brother, good morning wife” she greeted
” good morning ” they chorused and began to eat.
Stephanie noticed that Patricia wasn’t in a good mood and decided to ask.
” Pat, are you alright ”
” yeah, just a little bit tired” she replied and faced her food.
Her room had been her comfort palace for the past one week. She would just sit and cry then assure herself it was just a mistake
Next day
Stephanie jumped out of the bed and rushed into the toilet to throw up.
She brushed her teeth and washed her face after she was done.
“Cupcake, this is the third time you would be throwing up this morning, are you alright ” Gideon asked
“Yes baby, just feeling a slight headache “she replied
“Then I will have to call my doctor, stay in bed while I go out and get you some things “he said and she nodded
He kissed her briefly before leaving.
“Darrell, please go and stay with Stephanie, she isn’t felling well ” Gideon said as he entered his car
“Alright master” she replied and went upstairs. Patricia was also in the room.
“Take this glass of warm water it will help” Darrell said
” thanks” Stephanie replied and collected it from her.
Few minutes later, Gideon came back with his personal doctor, Mr Ricardo.
He kept the things he bought on the floor and went to sit beside Stephanie.
” please excuse us” doctor Ricardo said and Darrell left with Patricia.
The doctor examined Stephanie and gave her a kit from his bag. ” dip it in your pee and bring it back” he said and Stephanie nodded
She went to the toilet and did what she was asked to then returned it back to the doctor
Gideon sat on the bed with a worried look on his face
“Am just sick, besides am not dying “she said sitting on his laps
” don’t talk about death” he cautioned kissing her nose and she giggled
The doctor looked at them and smiled. He cleared his throat to gain their attention
“What’s wrong with her”Gideon asked
“Congratulations, the result was positive ” doctor Ricardo said smiling
” I don’t understand, what’s positive ” Stephanie asked
” you are pregnant ”
Stephanie jumped and screamed happily. ” am gonna be a mum soon” she said and hugged Gideon
” am so happy, this is the happiest day of my life, I love you so much”Gideon said smiling happily
