…..Excuse me,what house, Edos asked,they presented the house docvments to him, apparently Sandra had stolen it from where ever it was kept,iye cried,she shouted,that was the only legacy left by her late husband,”Edos ugbemwenwa” Edos you have killed me,you have killed me,the only roof I have over my head,I am finished,I was trying my best to calm iye,but she wasn’t letting me,Sandra can not do this to me, there will be no need, she’s carrying my baby,well she said you should check under the wardrobe,she left a message for you,said the supposed buyer.Edos ran inside and came out with a letter,as he read,he cried more.i took the letter from him and read.
Edosa,by the time you are reading this,it definitely means I have left your house and life,I am sorry I had to sell your inheritance,I really need the money to care for my unborn baby, by the way,the baby is not yours,do not bother looking for us,you have a good woman for a wife, focus on your marriage.bye.

I looked at him in disgust and shook my head,he fell to the ground and was wallowing in tears,I turned to iye and she was in so much tears,I knelt and pleaded with the police men to give us some days,as they can see,we weren’t aware of anything,we needed a little more time to put our selves and things together.the police men were kind enough to tell those that had bought the house to give us two weeks ,to get a new apartment…..
Edos,you gave my sweat and that of your father to a strange woman,I warned you about her,but no, she’s carrying my baby,now have you seen what you have done to me,at my age,I will start living as a tenant,oh my God, people go from a tenant to being a landlady,I am moving from a landlady to being a tenant,oh my God,what have I ever done,Edosa,oh my God,iye cried bitterly and it really broke my heart.Edos knelt before iye,asking for forgiveness,that he was sorry,he never knew the baby wasn’t his,he held my clothes asking for forgiveness,I looked at him,not knowing the exact words to tell him,I should,Forgive you,I will never forgive you unless my house is back to been my own,iye asked me to put a call through to her daughter’s,I did,less than three hours Adesuwa and Itohan were around,they were very disappointed at thier brother, should anything happen to me,just know Edos had killed me,if after two weeks I end up being a tenant,that will definitely be my end,she said.
The ladies were really angry at their brother,Edos tried all he could to reach Sandra,not because he wanted her back,but because he wanted to get the house docvments,he was full of regrets and shame, begging for both my forgiveness and that of iye.He had stopped eating,he locked himself inside the bedroom,we could only hear him pray,cry and beg God for mercy,he was telling God how sorry he was for hurting me,the first two days,I really didn’t care,but when it was the third day,I was beginning to feel very worried,he hadn’t had anything in three days,I was beginning to feel for him ,the fourth day came and he didn’t come out either,and I could barely hear him pray,as his voice had gone weak from hunger and thirst.Edos had never stayed without food for a day,let alone four days,if anything happens to my husband,I know I wouldn’t forgive myself, moreover,if God can forgive me my iniquities,why can’t I do same.
Iye has really come to understand me,and she knew what I was thinking,yes I am angry at Edos, he has betrayed my husband and I,by allowing a strange woman go with our sweat,he betrayed your love too, but he’s still your husband,and I know you wouldn’t want to become an early widow,you do not throw a child along with the water you use in bathing him,it is not easy on any of us,but we are a family,and we need each other now, iye’s words touched me, indeed I wouldn’t want my husband dead.
I went to the room, knocked,and told him I had forgiven him,he opened and was very happy,he was very weak,I made him a warm cup of tea first,some fruits and then good food.iye was happy for us,but the pain of losing a house was still there.Edos knelt down and apologized to both of us.
We were happy again as a family,the boss had called me,and my job was back,I was back to being a manager,fastforward to two weeks on,the buyers had come again to throw us out,iye and Edos were begging,then I made a call,and the police officer I had informed were around,I came out with the original docvments of the house,I had hidden it,when I caught Sandra once in iye’s room,I replaced it with a fake one,which looked like the original,the so called police men were fake,the supposed buyer is Sandra’s fiance, responsible for her pregnancy,I made some investigation too.they were all arrested and taken away.
Iye couldn’t thank me enough for saving our home. Edos was speechless at my intelligence,he hugged me tightly,and he was very proud to have me for a wife,he shouted.
Edos and I went to a fertility specialist,it was confirmed, he was the one with the problem,he had a low sperm count.he was sorry and ashamed for the names he called me, Thank God it was very treatable.after some months,i became pregnant,I was 38 plus,we were expecting three.soon it was nine months, DECEMBER 24 precisely,my Christmas gifts, I had my babies,it was two boys and a girl.that was a full stop already.for the delay,God restored triple.my mother came,and she was sorry for all she did,I had two amazing mother’s taking care of our babies Esosa,Oghosa and Eloghosa.
Marriage was beautiful to me at last,the beginning was though,but I scaled through.i had become a counselor to young ladies and women going through pressure from family and friends like I did,and to married women already in such marriages.
