…,I was the one that opened for the man,he asked me to call my husband,and he wasn’t smiling at all.. Honey someone is looking for you, who’s that he asked,Edos,it’s me ,the angry man found his way inside forcefully,Edos what’s all these,how long will it take you to pay me back my money,8 months and I didn’t hear from you,for heaven’s seek I am a business man,I need my money,the man was shouting,iye and Edos were trying all they could to calm the young man,but unfortunately,the man wasn’t willing to take it easy,I honestly did not know what to do, because I was shocked at the way things were going.i didn’t know what to say, neither did I know what was going on…
How can I lend you 4 million as a Friend,,and you told me you were investing it in your business,only for me to hear that you used all to have a celebrity wedding,,,The truth is ,it doesn’t concern me what you do with your money,but just pay me back my money and that’s all,what kind of rubbish is this,,,my head was hurt,I had like 3000 things going through it all at once,the man was shouting and bringing down the roof, people around where already coming one after the other to see what was going on,I was beginning to get ashamed

I was looking at Edos and iye,I didn’t know who to speak to first….
I summoned courage and decided to ask my husband,,, Edos what just happened,I mean,who is that man,what money was he saying and what’s going on…
Well madam if you must know,I emptied myself for your so called wedding,I even had to get a loan from Mr Patrick just so I could deal with your mother’s demands.but I warned you,I warned you to do things moderately that you could afford,oh no,you were busy acting like you had more than enough,you are talking like you didn’t see how demanding your mother was during the whole preparations.
iye was really angry,the annoying part is that,the person they did all this rubbish for ,is not even worth it, that’s the painful part,is this not the eighth month, nothing to show for it,your mother was busy using my son like a goat during the wedding, demanding for heaven and Earth, forgetting that you would be leaving with my family for the rest of your life, your mother didn’t even recognize me as the mother of the groom,she was the star of the day,she even shone brighter than you the so called bride,even made my son borrow from every corner,for what, because my son Wanted her daughter’s hand in marriage……I didn’t even know iye could speak good and correct English so fluently.
Now you listen young woman,you see that embarrasment that happened just now,it had better not repeat itself,,,but iye, where am I supposed to have such money,well I don’t know, and honestly don’t care,all I know is that that rubbish scene should not repeat itself in my house,,she Said and went inside.
I was looking at Edos now,,no no no,you don’t give me that look,,, you mother was something else,and I know you saw that, I had to do all she wanted,,but I told you to do otherwise,I told you not to look at what my mom was saying.you would have to give mr Patrick that money,I believe you have seen my shop, everything there and Even the sales boy put together won’t cost such, didn’t believe I heard him.Edos you said what?

I was practically a slave in my y husbands house,I could not cook what I wanted,we had to work with iye’s timetable,and many a time I am not familiar with the food ,but I dare not say a word,she never gave me the privilege of cooking what I wanted,at some point,I suggested we cook different things,since we love different foods,but she bluntly refused,saying I should not try that…
I suggested to my husband we should go and rent our own apartment outside ,and be coming to visit iye regularly,but she bluntly refused again…saying her only son will not leave her sight,she wants to be seeing him at all times.she called me a bad woman for trying to take her son away from her….
The whole thing was affecting me mentally,I was no longer the Ama,I was,I had become, someone else that I didn’t recognize.i couldn’t help but wished I had listened to Helen, everything about the marriage was driving me crazy.i didn’t have a say at all.
Iye always insults me! Nothing I did ever seems enough for her.i was always late every morning because of iye’s nagging,she was a big pain,and this was beginning to affect my work.
I had received letter of query from my head boss,since they had been negligence in my office.
