Rowen widened his eyes and left Lucy who sighed deeply and faced him.
“You back?” She asked, calmly.
He nodded quietly.
“Ah…Did my words scare you? Knives can be dangerous you know?” She raised it at his face and he laughed nervously.
“I know right” He uttered.
“Yeah. Go shower. Dinner is almost ready” She smiled.
He nodded and walked away.
The smile faded off her face and she inhaled deeply.
HELEN & GAVIN’S HOME**
“What are you doing?” Helen asked.
Gavin only smirked.
“Why are you putting on a condom, Gavin??” She asked.
“This is what I want” He stated clearly.
Helen shook her head.
“And this isn’t what I want. You still want the money or nah?” She asked.
He scoffed and took it off.
“I guess you are making fun of me cause I’m jobless”
“Just lay down. Remember, I’ll be riding you tonight…if you still want the 500 bucks” She muttered in a sad tone.
She stood up and allowed her night gown fall down, from her body which exposed her nakedness.
LEAH & GERALD’S HOME**
“Mum!! We’re back- and exhausted” Leah said, stressfully and bumped on the couch.
“Sorry dear” Their mother walked in.
She smiled and faced Gerald.
“How was work, baby G?” She stroked his cheeks.
He giggled and looked down.
“Mum…It was fi…fine and very swe..swee..sweet”
“Hmm…Unlike your younger sis who found it exhausting” She teased.
“Marshall…Marshall gave me a lot of snacks He…He is nice. I…I like him”
“I know right” Leah rolled her eyes.
“But please,,, don’t bother him and stay away from him, I beg you, huh. I wouldn’t like him getting comfortable”
“But…but I like him and…and he likes me too” He folded his lips.
“Stop being naive” Leah sighed and stood up.
“C’mon guys. Let’s go eat. I made our favorite dish” Their mother whispered.
“Yippee!!!” Gerald jumped and their mother laughed.
THE NEXT MORNING**
Freddy yawned and opened his wrinkled eye lids. He raised his arm up and yawned again and finally sat upright from the mattress.
“Grandpa” Phoebe, his granddaughter walked to him.
“You off to school already?” He slowly asked, wearing his recommended glasses.
She nodded quietly. She was dressed up already.
He nodded.
“Eaten?” He asked.
“Yes. I prepared tea”
“Wait…Get me my wallet. Tea won’t do” Freddy said.
“No” She said, quickly.
“Its fine. You should get going to work too” She muttered.
“I will” He smiled.
Phoebe forced a quick smile. She slowly turned and went to the door.
She stopped and turned her nervous face to him.
“Grandpa- She paused, suddenly.
“What’s it?” He asked, calmly.
Phoebe blinked her eyes and shook her head.
“No. Its fine. Bye”
“Phoebe…What do you wanna say? C’mon. You can tell me”
Phoebe scoffed, softly.
“Never mind. I’ll get going now” She waved and finally walked out.
“Even if I tell you,,, There’s nothing you will do about it” Se muttered.

Lucy slowly opened her eyes and the face she met with was Rowen’s sleeping face.
“I still can’t believe my…husband is cheating on me” She wondered.
She slowly took his arms away from her body and sighed deeply.
She went to Darren’s room and started getting him ready for school.
MINUTES LATER**
Rowen looked around and sighed loudly.
“Are you kidding me now? Gosh. Lucy left with Darren already? Without even waking me up? She didn’t even make breakfast? Did anything happen? Is she upset?” He thought, worriedly.
R-STONES GAME LOFT COMPANY**
IN A MEETING**
Rowen was on his high seat while the employees in Team A, B, C and D were around him, sitting as well.
His secretary, Tasha stood by his side.
“I called y’all here cause…of the reminder,,, based on our fun trip which happens each year”
There was loud giggles and murmurs everywhere.
“Quiet please!” Rowen ordered.
“Anyways,,, As I was saying, our fun trip is coming and as usual, Y’all can bring your family, friends and loved ones to catch all the fun with you. I will also be inviting my VIPs,,, The CEO and Director of Ama-Tech Global Games” He said.
“Wow. Awesome. That a big company” Many murmured about.
“Yeah. We could get recognize abroad that way” Leah smiled.
“What about the date and location, sorry?” Leah asked.
“Well,,, It will come up in a week time and for the location,,, I and Tasha are looking for the right place for it” Rowen answered and looked at Tasha. They smiled at each other, briefly.
Tasha moved closer to Rowen and touched his shoulder.
“There would be online and outdoor games, refreshment and pool party, and lots more. Let not miss it and please, bring people along” She said with a smile.
A phone suddenly rang and they all turned to heads to see Freddy who stared nervously at them.
That was obviously his ring tone from his small GSM phone.
“I’m sorry for the disturbance but please, let me pick the call” He muttered and went out.
“Hello, principal?” He asked after accepting it.
There was a loud sigh at the other side.
“Freddy…Its about your granddaughter, Phoebe. Can you come to school now?” She asked.
“Like right now?”
“Yes,,, please”
Freddy sighed and nodded.
“I’ll be right there. Just give me 15 minutes” He muttered and hanged the call.
Freddy turned back and saw that the meeting had been dismissed. He walked to Rowen and begged for a day off.
It was accepted. Freddy thanked Rowen and ran off.

“Hey? What’s with the hat?” Karen asked, pointing at the hat on Helen’s head.
Helen glared at her.
“Mind your business” She spat.
“You had a bump there and you tryna hide it, ey?” She asked.
Helen swallowed and looked at her computer.
“I’m gonna have to move away from your desk. You utter nonsense at times”
“Is it Gavin? Did he hurt you?” Karen scoffed.
Helen slowly looked at Karen and quickly took her eyes away.
Karen was right.
Gavin had pushed her from his body when he was about cvmming. Of course, that was the reason why she asked for s*x. She just wanted a child.
She fell off from him and hit her head on the wardrobe near by.
Helen sighed.
“I’ve nothing to say to you. Fix your life first before talking to me” She muttered.
HOSPITAL***
Lucy opened Tasha’s file and checked for her mobile number. She typed it on her phone, exhaled deeply and called it.
“Hello?” Tasha said, immediately.
Lucy swallowed hard.
“Who’s it baby?” She heard Rowen’s voice which made her heart skip. Tears were forming in her eyes now.
“Hello?” Tasha said again.
“Hello…I heard about you, Miss Tasha and I called to tell you that I’m actually…Ro- She gulped.
“Rowen’s wife…”
